About this venue

The Cabin at Old Spur is a 73-acre outdoor wedding venue in the Pee Dee, about twenty minutes from Florence, where your ceremony and reception happen beside a private pond surrounded by woods. Choose from four ceremony sites, including a peninsula across the water and a dock at the pond's edge, and a covered pavilion that handles both ceremony and reception if the weather turns. What makes a weekend here different is that your wedding party sleeps on the property. The bridal suite sleeps 10 to 12, the grooms cabin sleeps 6, and the whole place is yours from Friday morning through Sunday at 10:00 AM. No hotel blocks, no shuttle schedules, and nobody driving home after the reception. Friday is yours for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The price is $6,800 for the full weekend, with both cabins, the pavilion, 200 chairs and tables, the outdoor bar, the pergola with fire pit, and all cleanup included.

    Forest wedding at the Cabin

The Cabin At Old Spur was the perfect venue for our wedding. All communication with the staff was clear and effective, and they were extremely responsive to our needs. The cabin and the grounds were amazing, and it easily accommodated our wedding of over 100 people. A storm was approaching right before the wedding, and they made sure to keep me up to date on all changes, ensuring the day went off without a hitch. We wish we could go back and relive our special day at this wonderful venue!

We had our wedding at The Cabin at Old Spur in March of 2026 and it was truly incredible from start to finish. From our very first conversation with the venue, we felt taken care of. The atmosphere was everything we could have hoped for, warm, beautiful, and exactly the kind of setting we wanted to celebrate in. We didn't have to worry about a single thing on our big day, which is such a rare and wonderful feeling when you're planning something this important. A huge highlight of the entire process was working with Debbie. She was flexible, kind, and incredibly responsive, always easy to reach whenever we had a question or needed to adjust something. She made the planning process feel so much less stressful, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making our day special. The bridal suite was an absolute dream. It had more than enough space for all of the girls to get ready comfortably, and it was the perfect spot for family to hang out and be part of the morning together. We also loved being by the pond, it added such a beautiful backdrop to our day. We also loved that our entire bridal party could stay on the property together, which made the whole weekend feel more like a celebration than just a single event, giving us time to relax and enjoy each other's company before and after the ceremony. On top of all of that, the value was incredible. We felt like we got so much for what we paid, and it was clear they truly want couples to have an amazing experience without breaking the bank. So many details that we've heard other couples struggle with at their venues, things like coordination, logistics, and communication, were simple and stress free here. The team took care of all the little details, big and small, and it made our day feel so incredibly special. We could not recommend The Cabin at Old Spur enough for anyone planning their wedding. It was the perfect place to start this new chapter of our lives!!!

Thank you so much, Madison, for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to all of us. We’re so glad you felt taken care of throughout the entire process and that you were able to relax and really enjoy your wedding weekend. It’s especially wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed the bridal suite, the pond, and having your bridal party stay together on the property. Creating that kind of experience, where everyone can slow down, spend time together, and enjoy more than just the wedding day itself, is exactly what we hope for. And thank you for recognizing Debbie. She genuinely cares about every couple she works with, and we know your words will mean a lot to her. Thank you again for trusting The Cabin at Old Spur with such an important weekend. We were honored to be part of it and wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!

My daughter contacted the venue for a tour, looking to book one for her wedding, the place is absolutely gorgeous! Our tour guide (please forgive the forgetting of her name) was professional, polite and informative. I would encourage anyone to check out this venue.

The cabin at Old Spur truly made our special day perfect. All of the staff have been nothing but amazing to work with and willing to help in any way they can. The bridal cabin and the groomsmen cabin were perfect for the guys and girls and gave our wedding party a place to enjoy the weekend together. I just want to share some pictures of just how beautiful it is there.

We are at 750 Old Spur Road, Timmonsville, SC 29161, on 73 private acres in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. Our mailing address says Timmonsville, but the property actually sits closer to Lamar, so do not let the address confuse you when you are looking at a map. We are close to just about everything in the Pee Dee, with Florence 15 minutes away, Darlington 17, and Hartsville 19, and for guests coming from a little farther out, Camden is about half an hour and Sumter about 35 minutes.
Yes, and outdoors is really the point of the place. Our four ceremony sites are all built around a heart-shaped pond: a peninsula across the water where a free-standing barn door stands under the trees, a dock at the pond's edge, and a field cut into the oaks along the wood line behind the cabin. The fourth is our covered pavilion, which is open-air with a roof, so some couples choose it even in perfect weather for the view out over the pond, and it doubles as the backup if the forecast turns.
Yes, and they are actual cabins rather than a side room off the reception hall. The bridal suite sleeps 10 to 12 and is set up for the whole group to get ready together comfortably, with plenty of room for bridesmaids and stylists. The grooms cabin sleeps 6 and has its own kitchenette. Both are yours for two nights as part of the weekend, so your wedding party is not driving in from a hotel the morning of; they wake up right where the wedding is happening and walk to the ceremony.
Yes. You are welcome to bring in your own caterer and your own vendors, with no required list and no vendor fee, so if you already have people you love, they are welcome here. We also have a dedicated catering prep area behind the pavilion with two refrigerator-freezers, a commercial sink, and prep space, which connects straight to the reception area and stays out of sight of your guests. Caterers tell us it makes their job considerably easier. If you are still deciding, we are glad to share our preferred vendor list, which is full of people we have worked with many times.
The Cabin at Old Spur is a 73-acre outdoor wedding venue about fifteen minutes from Florence, built around a heart-shaped pond with woods on every side. Ceremony sites include a peninsula across the water, a dock at the pond's edge, a field cut into the oaks, and a covered pavilion overlooking the water. What makes a weekend here different is that your wedding party stays on the property. The bridal suite sleeps 10 to 12, the grooms cabin sleeps 6, and the place is yours from Friday morning through Sunday at 10:00 AM. No hotel blocks, no shuttles, nobody driving home after the reception.
Our weekend package is all-inclusive. It covers both cabins for two nights, the covered pavilion with white draping, a dedicated dance area and DJ space, the outdoor bar and courtyard, a catering prep area, climate-controlled restrooms, all four ceremony locations, 25 round tables, 6 rectangular tables, 200 chairs, 8 whiskey barrel cocktail tables, arbors and arches, and full cleanup afterward. Your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday are included at no extra charge. The only things you arrange separately are your caterer and a licensed bartender, since we do not provide food or alcohol, and there are no hidden add-ons beyond that.
Most weddings here run between 100 and 200 guests. Your weekend includes 200 chairs, which seat comfortably under the pavilion, and our ceremony sites hold up to 250 seated. Because we are an outdoor venue on 73 acres, there is room to spread out, and for guest lists above 200 you are welcome to rent additional chairs through one of our preferred rental vendors.
Rain is the question we get most, and it is one we have prepared for. We have put significant work into drainage across the property, so the grounds handle water well rather than turning soft on you. Our covered pavilion is large enough to hold both your ceremony and your reception, and we convert the space from one to the other immediately after you say your vows, so there is no gap and no scramble. If you want additional covered space, there is room for tents in the courtyard between the bar and the pavilion. And for what it is worth, rain on a wedding day has long been considered good luck.
Both cabins are yours for two nights as part of the weekend. The bridal suite sleeps 10 to 12 and is set up for the whole group to get ready together, and the grooms cabin sleeps 6 and has its own kitchenette, so you have beds for 16 and room for 18 with the couches. Two RV sites with full hookups are available for guests who bring their own accommodations. Nobody is coordinating a hotel block, arranging a shuttle, or driving back to Florence at midnight, and your wedding party wakes up right where the wedding is happening.
You are welcome to bring in your own vendors. There is no required list and no vendor fee, so if you already have a caterer, florist, photographer, or DJ you love, they are welcome here. We do have a preferred vendor list of people we have worked with many times, and we are glad to share it if you are still deciding, but it is a starting point rather than a requirement. For your caterer, we also have a dedicated prep area behind the pavilion with two refrigerator-freezers, a commercial sink, and prep space that connects straight to the reception area.
