About this venue

The Hilltop sits at one of the highest points in the whole county, overlooking miles of Missouri countryside. We have amazing sunsets! Couples love our $650 BYOB bar, our flat rate pricing, our extensive (and FREE) decor closet, as well as the fact that we are low stress. We are the venue you didn't think existed. Beautiful and affordable. Our couples also love the chance to escape the chaos of wedding planning and focus on each other during our Strong Foundations marriage workshops. FREE admission to confirmed clients and by attending you qualify for discounts on your reception package. You see, we love when you invest in your marriage and want to join you in that. Strong families build strong communities, and we think that is always worth investing in!

The Main Room

Typically used for dining, The Main Hall features romantic overhead twinkle lights.

Our indoor reception space is made up of two rooms, The Main Hall and The Sun Room; versatile and easily adapted to fit the flow of your personal event. The Main Hall features our bar area, space for buffet, gifts, and all your guests. Off The Main Hall you'll find our getting ready suites, both Men's and Women's bathrooms, and our prep kitchen. ​ Featuring floor to ceiling windows, The Sun Room beckons visitors to gather and enjoy the sunset sky during cocktail hour.

The Sun Room

Step over to the sun room and you can't help but take in the view from our floor to ceiling windows and doors that lead out the balcony.

If dancing in the rain isn't your thing... You can rest easy knowing we can move your ceremony to our Sunroom. Exchange your vows framed by our floor to ceiling windows that flood the space with beautiful natural light. We offer several layout options and the flexibility to make last minute changes since we operate with separate ceremony and reception seating. After the sun goes down, it becomes the dance floor and the space for the head table.

    The Hilltop KC was an exceptional wedding venue that exceeded our expectations in every way. From our very first interaction, the staff was thorough, quick, and incredibly kind, making the planning process a breeze. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with a spacious and inclusive layout that allowed all of our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy the day. The team at Hilltop went above and beyond, offering helpful suggestions, taking initiative, and working seamlessly with our other vendors. They were true low-stress go-getters who answered every question we had and provided access to a stunning array of decorations in their decor closet. Thanks to their responsiveness and great recommendations, our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. We cannot recommend The Hilltop KC highly enough!

    Wedding!

    The Hilltop KC was an incredible venue for our wedding. From the very first interaction, their communication was amazing - they were always responsive, helpful, and flexible in accommodating our needs. The venue itself is beautiful, with a lovely outdoor space and a charming decor closet that allowed us to personalize the space. On the day of the wedding, the staff kept everything running smoothly and handled any potential stressors, ensuring our day was truly amazing. The wonderful location and staff made this already beautiful venue 100x better. We are so grateful to the team at The Hilltop KC for helping to make our wedding day perfect.

    We got married August 7th 2026 and the staff that was there helping us on the wedding day was great, dealing with problems so I wouldn’t have to and helping us set up before hand.

    My sister had her wedding here this past weekend and I was very impressed with the whole process. Terrica (owner) is extremely organized, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The space is stunning and the wedding decor closet is packed with stuff to help decorate your whole wedding without spending a dime. The venue is also extremely affordable. As far as space, it is definitely set up for smaller size (125 or less). I believe my sister had around 80-100 and it fit everyone very comfortably. I higgly recommend Terrica and her venue The Hilltop!

    It was a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, although it was beautiful it was entirely too hot as there was a heat index of 104+ seems like someone at the venue would have came up with a plan B, ie. Gazebo, tent, misting fan, or just ask the couple to move the nuptials to the air conditioned inside. Otherwise it's a very nice place with plenty of space.
