The Kitchen is a modern wedding venue located in the historic neighborhood of German Village in Columbus, Ohio. With its industrial yet warm interior and delicious cuisine, it makes the perfect setting for weddings of all kinds. Our two versatile event spaces bring people together to create memories through food. We proudly host both public community events and private special occasions featuring a wide variety of menu options and experiences. The Kitchen's non-traditional approach to planning allows you to create a one-of-a-kind, food-centric event that fulfills your dream and truly embraces who you are as a couple. Based on your vision, venue rentals can include food, drinks, and cooking experiences, and their team will work with you to customize the space to suit your unique celebration. Our original and larger venue space, The Kitchen features a vast floor plan and boasts reclaimed early twentieth century architectural details and walls of exposed brick. This warm, inviting setting with its beautiful open kitchen and flexible floor plan make an ideal venue for your celebration or meeting. All Participatory Dining Experiences take place in The Kitchen.

    The Kitchen

    We knew The Kitchen was the right choice the moment we walked in. Their team was responsive and genuinely understood what we wanted for our small wedding, making the planning process stress-free from start to finish. They helped us nail our rehearsal in the studio, and then delivered a seamless celebration the next day in the main space. The venue itself is truly magical—moody lighting, naturally beautiful, and the perfect intimate setting for our group. The food was incredible and tasted as good as the space looked. We had zero concerns on our wedding day, and we couldn't be more grateful to The Kitchen for making it unforgettable. We cannot wait to go back each year on our anniversary for a cooking class.

The Kitchen is not a traditional restaurant, although we are a food-oriented space and regularly host public and private events. You can join us for a Participatory Dining Experience, which require an advanced reservation. Or, you can stop by any Tuesday from 5-9pm for our weekly, a-la-carte Taco Tuesday night, which require no reservation.
Our hours of operation vary weekly depending on the public and private events we are hosting.
No, the Kitchen does not offer formal cooking classes and you will not be taught specific techniques or how to prepare a full meal in our Participatory Dining Experiences. Instead, you and other guests will prepare one portion of a larger meal in our communal kitchen. Once all cooking is complete, you will sit down to enjoy your meal together.
Yes! The Kitchen and The Studio have parking just across the street from our building at the Livingston UMC parking lot.
Tickets to our Participatory Dining Experiences and events are similar to buying a concert ticket—while they are not refundable, you are welcome to transfer your reservation to another person.
Yes, with notice we will make our best effort to accommodate your dietary needs so that you can cook and enjoy the food you love the most. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly with any dietary concerns.
The Studio is our new event space located next door to our original building. With its grand opening in 2018, it is perfect for those more intimate special events. The Studio is open for a variety of public events and caters best to private boutique events.
