The Mill at Fine Creek is an impressive wedding venue based in Powhatan, Virginia. Nestled on 10 acres of green landscape scattered with walking paths and historical ruins, this location offers a one-of-a-kind location for weddings. It hosts only one event per day, allowing couples and their guests to enjoy the occasion and grounds in privacy.

The Mill is the Place
I can’t rave enough about this venue; their coordinator planned the perfect day for us. The food and cake were amazing and tailored to our style. The venue is GORGEOUS/ our photos are gorgeous. The cottages on site are clean, cozy, and RIGHT there! The coffee shop has great provisions and gifts. The brewery has great beer and was a great place to have our rehearsal dinner. I’m so happy to have had the Mill to be the place for our new beginning and I’m so obsessed that I can go back there for a beer or coffee or sandwich and sneak a peak at my venue whenever I want!

The Venue of Our Dreams & Then Some!
My goodness, I don't even know where to start.. My husband and I got married at the Mill and it was just everything we dreamed of and so so so much more! First finding the venue wins your heart just seeing it in pictures but seeing the venue in person is absolutely unreal. The whole property has insane whimsical romantic vibes, there's beautiful greenery and foliage EVERYWHERE, and theres even a little Cafe and brewery on site, the venue was literally everything we love in a little secluded villiage world! We got to work with Madison Mozingo to coordinate our event and y'all that woman is just absolutely wonderful! Super fun and easy to work with, very professional, communicates well and quickly, and really made sure not a single detail was missed on our special day. She helped us bring the wedding of our dreams to life except it actually turned out so much better than we could have imagined, we could never show enough gratitude for how amazing our experience was. Madison, The Mill, and all the staff are absolutely fantastic, everyone is so cooperative and detail oriented, we really could not imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. Oh and of course I have to add the food is TOP TIER, both at the brewery and with their Catering service. We loved how flexible putting our menu together was, and presentation.. Chef's Kiss. Whatever event you may have you will NOT regret having it here!! 10/10 HIGHLY Recommend!!

The perfect venue!
We had our eye on The Mill at Fine Creek before we even got engaged, and it did not disappoint. Jeannie, our coordinator, was incredible and thought of every detail from start to finish, making the whole planning process seamless. On the day of our wedding, every single person we worked with from the chef and pastry chef to all the coordinators and staff was kind and genuinely helpful. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue itself, and the food was exceptional; we loved that we could include meals that were meaningful to us when creating the menu. The cottages and brewery were a huge bonus that allowed us to keep the party going and make travel convenient for our family. We could not have asked for a more perfect day, and we owe so much of that to the team at The Mill at Fine Creek!

Perfect blend of elegance and warmth
We cannot say enough about how amazing the Mill and our coordinator, Jeannie, were to work with to create our perfect day. As someone who did not hire a wedding planner, the inclusion of an on site wedding coordinator was something that set the Mill apart from other venues we considered. The inclusion of so many aspects of the day - linens, plating, and so much more - also made this so appealing. Jeannie kept us on track with checkpoints leading up to the big day and was great to bounce ideas off of for our day. The one hesitation we had was the no tasting for the menu but when you understand the options are kind of endless you understand why and when I tell you every. single. bite. was raved about from ourselves and our guests I am not exaggerating. We made a joke about how my dad was looking forward to the bread basket and they gave him his own dedicated basket. He loved it. The day itself ran flawlessly, food was hot, and they captured my vision beautifully. They amplified my own ideas with their years of experience. The staff was professional, kind, and prompt with every task that came their way. We have nothing but rave reviews for our experience and I cannot wait to get our photos back to pour over the details all over again. We can’t thank the venue, Jeannie, Pierre, the chef, and all staff enough for making our wedding weekend a dream.

Dream venue!
My husband and I both loved working with everyone at the Mill - they made everything so much more seamless and less stressful! Madison was our day-of coordinator and she was spectacular at keeping everyone on track and helping us (mainly me) stay calm throughout the day when our outdoor ceremony was rained out, even helping to bustle my dress and grabbing us plates from the buffet at dinner. Speaking of dinner and dessert, everything was SO GOOD. They did a fantastic job of helping us figure out menus/cake flavors/gelatos that we loved while staying within the budget that worked for us, and even packed up the leftovers and had them waiting in our cottage for us that night. Highly recommend!!
