About this venue

Built at the turn of the 20th century, the River Road House and the Jasmine House are two separate spaces within one venue that have been restored with all the amenities of today, while maintaining the southern charm and architectural splendor of the early 1900's. Our family owned and operated venue offers professional and personalized attention from the very beginning stages of planning, until the last guest departs. Our level of commitment and dedication from our experienced staff is what sets us apart from other event venues, in addition to our almost 30 years of being in business. We hope that you will allow the River Road and Jasmine Houses to provide a location that you and your guests will remember for years to come! *We can hold up to 100 guests for a fully seated reception, and up to 200 guests for a heavy hors d'oeuvres style reception.

Weddings at The River Road House & Reception at the Jasmine House

• The ceremony takes place in the garden of the River Road House, but in the case of inclement weather, we have a back up ceremony option inside the house. This house is also the bridal suite, where the bride and her bridesmaids come into on the wedding day. The ability to rent extra time before the wedding allows for a stress-free day of getting ready! There's plenty of space for hair and make-up artists to set up, and you're welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy! • The reception takes place at the Jasmine House, and includes the use of our tent that stays up year round, complete with string lights and a greenery backdrop!

​To accommodate a wide range of events, we offer several package options for our couples! The Wedding and Reception Package is our signature all-inclusive package, with the option for either a heavy hors d'oeuvres or a seated meal reception. For heavy hors d'oeuvres receptions, we can hold up to 225, and for seated meal receptions, we can hold up to 100 guests. Our 5 Hour Package is a scaled down, turn-key package that's perfect for couples looking for a relaxing, uncomplicated wedding and reception. This package is designed for up to 50 guests, and is available Monday-Thursday, and Friday-Sunday if the date is less than 60 days out and is still open.

    YOUR DREAM WEDDING VENUE & STAFF

    We cannot say enough wonderful things about The River Road and Jasmine House, especially Sarah and her incredible team. From the very beginning, Sarah was helpful, responsive, and genuinely kind. Any question we had, she was always there with answers, guidance, and reassurance. She also got along beautifully with our families, which meant so much to us and made the entire day feel even more relaxed and joyful. Honestly, Sarah is just one of those people you immediately click with—I truly feel like we could be friends for life, even beyond wedding planning. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. We were married on January 3rd, and even in the middle of winter, the gardens were still beautiful and green. The setting felt magical and well cared for year-round, which is something you don’t find everywhere. The weather was cool, but between the tent and heaters, our guests were completely comfortable. I didn’t even need my shawl, which says a lot. From start to finish, everything about The River Road and Jasmine House was a pleasant, seamless experience. The team, the atmosphere, the food, and the setting all came together perfectly. We are beyond grateful we chose this venue and would recommend it without hesitation! (Which every friend that has gotten engaged recently, my husband and I tell them to use the River Road & Jasmine House as their venue because we love it and Sarah so much!!!)     Dreamy Location

    From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding at The River Road and Jasmine Houses and Gardens, the staff was incredibly detailed, organized, and helpful. They thoughtfully guided us through the planning process and ensured our special day was executed with the utmost professionalism from start to finish. The whimsical, romantic, and vintage ambiance of the venue was the perfect backdrop for our wedding, and we were blown away by the stunning grounds and charming indoor spaces. The staff went above and beyond to take care of every little detail, allowing us to truly enjoy the day and soak in all the magic. We are so grateful to have celebrated our marriage at this truly special place.

For seated meal events, we can hold up to 100 guests. For heavy hors d'oeuvres, we can hold around 225, utilizing the indoor and outdoor spaces. For heavy hors d'oeuvres, we DO NOT provide seating for all guests attending.
Yes! Our schedule changes week to week and we're not always at the venue, so please be sure to call or email to set up an appointment prior to coming out!
Our deposit is $1500 for weddings and/or receptions. The deposit is due with a signed contract to reserve your day.
In the information we initially send out, we have pricing based on nice, neat numbers to give you an idea of what our prices are. Once you get your guest count back from your RSVPs, that will be the exact number of guests we use to base your final invoice off of!
Yes! They are automatically $500 less than Saturdays, and we also have lower guest package minimum requirements for Fridays and Sundays. These requirements are outlined in your information packet!
Yes! You're welcome to have your pets in your wedding, however, we do ask that you have someone designated to take them off-site once the reception begins.
Yes! We have the option to move your ceremony inside the River Road House in the case of inclement weather.
Yes! We include white plastic folding chairs at no additional cost, but if you'd like to rent a different type of chair, we can help coordinate that for you!
Nope, that's already included in our package! We have 2 full time coordinators on-site to help with anything you need, and they also help with the planning leading up to the wedding day.
No, we require that you go through us for the catering at your reception. You are, however, welcome to bring in some food for the wedding party to enjoy prior to the ceremony starting!
Absolutely! While we do keep the venue decorated and provide centerpieces already, we encourage couples to customize the space if they'd like!
We do! We have a comprehensive list of vendors that we've worked with, and would be happy to share that with you if you need recommendations! Of course, you're welcome to bring in a vendor that's not on our list, as well!
Yes, we do!
We allow sparklers, bubbles, dried petals/leaves, glowsticks. We don't allow artificial petals or confetti (or anything that isn't biodegradable) to be thrown, fireworks, or the lanterns that float away. If you have something specific in mind that isn't listed already, just ask! : )
The only "clean-up" you're responsible for is just getting anything that you brought in, such as additional decorations, gifts/cards, alcohol if you provided it, etc. We handle all of the other clean up!
