Best Day Ever
We truly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding than The Townsend. From the very beginning, our experience was absolutely incredible, and so much of that was because of Maia, our catering sales manager throughout the planning process. From helping us plan our engagement party to working through every detail leading up to our wedding day, Maia was incredibly helpful, attentive, and accommodating. She made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what we envisioned. We absolutely loved both the ceremony and reception spaces. They were beautiful, elegant, and the perfect size for our guest count. The food was amazing from start to finish… from the appetizers to dinner and, of course, the desserts. Maia also helped us customize our dinner and event selections, which allowed us to make everything feel so personal and truly our own. No detail was overlooked. The staff throughout the entire weekend was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, constantly checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, while also handling everything behind the scenes so seamlessly that we never had to worry about a thing. That made such a difference on our wedding day because we were able to completely relax, be present, and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. We also loved having the bridal suite and room block available for our guests. The bridal suite was the perfect space for getting ready, and having breakfast and lunch brought in while we were preparing was incredibly convenient and made the morning even more enjoyable. One of the things that stood out to us most was the cleanliness, timelessness and overall luxury of The Townsend. Every part of the property and experience felt so well cared for, and the staff truly made our entire wedding weekend extra special. It was even better than we could have imagined. We are so grateful to everyone at The Townsend, especially Maia, for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed it would be. It was truly the perfect venue for our celebration, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning their wedding. Already planning our one-year anniversary weekend back at The Townsend!

Wonderful Venue!!
We got married at the Townsend in May and had a fantastic experience with Ashley and Yvette from the catering team. Everything was spectacular: the food, accommodations, and customer service were wonderful. Ashley and Yvette responded to all my questions (there were many) in a timely fashion and were so understanding. Would highly recommend!

The Best!
We could not have been happier with our experience at The Townsend Hotel! It was truly superb. From the beginning, their exceptional service made the entire planning process feel effortless. We were so impressed when we went for our menu tasting that we decided to have our rehearsal dinner there too! Maia, the catering manager, was our primary contact and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was incredibly accommodating, responsive, professional, and attentive to every detail. We truly felt that we had nothing to worry about because she and the Townsend team had everything under control. Every request was handled graciously, and they went above and beyond to make sure both out reception & rehearsal were exactly how we wanted them. The customer service throughout the hotel was outstanding, the accommodations were beautiful, and the generous hotel room block was especially appreciated by us and our guests. The food was also amazing, and we received countless compliments about it. We even had dietary restrictions that they happily catered to. As an out-of-state couple, being at a full service hotel was priceless. Our every need was met instantly and with a smile. When it came time to steam & put on my veil, we discovered TSA got it stuck in the zipper after they inspected it. Before panic could fully set in, two engineers arrived to the room with a tool box & successfully saved the veil!! This is the kind of service you get at The Townsend. Being located in Birmingham is another great selling point. We had a large number of out-of-town guests, from different parts of the country & abroad, and they were all captivated by the town. Our NYC & California friends especially told us they wouldn't mind living there & started looking at homes on Zillow. The Townsend Hotel gave us an elegant, beautiful reception and an experience we will always remember. We are so grateful to Maia and the entire team for helping make our wedding celebration so special. We wholeheartedly recommend The Townsend to any couple looking for exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and complete peace of mind on their wedding day.

Amazing Experience!!
The Townsend Hotel, specifically Maia, made our wedding an absolute dream! They were quick to respond, accommodating with changes, gave excellent advice, and overall were calm and supportive throughout the process. It was seamless and easy having every event in one location. The venue was classy and timeless, food was amazing, and energy was loud the whole night! loved every second of it!

FABULOUS VENUE SND STAFF
Words cannot adequately convey our gratitude and good fortune to have had the opportunity to work with Ashley Willis while planning our daughter’s Rehearsal Dinner, Cocktail Hour, Wedding Reception and After Party at The Townsend Hotel. From the moment we met to visit the venue setting, she was very responsive, professional, organized, patient, detailed and helpful. She was one of the main reasons we chose The Townsend as the wedding reception venue. With complete trust, we did not worry about any of the plans we made and she did not disappoint. It was such a privilege working with and learning from her.
