About this venue

We are Northampton's newest, most modernized banquet facility, however Union Station has been a fixture for over 100 years. Originally built in 1897, Union Station pairs history and modernization, with our premiere 200 seat ballroom, three restaurants, and adjoining ancillary spaces such as The Atrium, The Lounge, and The Blue Goose. We host an array of events that are just as unique as we are! Weddings, rehearsal dinners, parties, corporate events, and more.

The Heart of Union Station

This space pairs modern luxury with the rich history of Union Station. Union Station was designed by H.H. Richardson, of the "holy trinity of American architecture". The Roosevelt Room is a clear nod to Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, while it remains the most modernized banquet space in the Valley. Perfect for large events such as weddings, but not to be overlooked for intimate occasions. Come see why this space is often called “the heart of Union Station”

Outstanding Venue & Unmatched Coordination
We could not have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Union Station Banquets in Northampton, MA—truly exceptional in every way. Planning a large-scale wedding without a planner can feel overwhelming, but from the very beginning, Neil made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. He worked closely with me every step of the way, demonstrating remarkable attentiveness and care—even taking the time to connect directly with my mother to assist with additional details. His level of dedication and personal investment was truly above and beyond. When some of our original décor and floral plans unexpectedly fell through, Neil stepped in without hesitation and helped coordinate beautiful alternatives that perfectly suited our vision. His resourcefulness and calm, solutions-oriented approach were invaluable. On the day of the wedding, the entire Union Station team executed everything flawlessly. The staff was attentive and professional, the food was outstanding, and the event flowed effortlessly from start to finish. As the bride, I felt completely at ease—fully confident that every detail, timeline, and moving part was in capable hands. Neil managed communication with vendors, family members, and our many questions with patience, respect, and genuine enthusiasm. He brought such warmth and excitement to the process, making us feel truly supported—almost as if he were part of the family. We are incredibly grateful to Neil and the entire Union Station team for making our wedding day so memorable and stress-free. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue—10 out of 10 experience.

Amazing Food & Service from Start to Finish
We hired Union Station to provide off-site catering for our wedding, and they were absolutely wonderful from start to finish! We had a tasting before the wedding where we were able to try different options and choose exactly what we wanted served. Neil was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process and made sure all of the details were taken care of so everything went smoothly. The food was a huge hit with our guests, everyone raved about how good everything was! Union Station also provided the bar and bartenders for our wedding, which was so convenient because it meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had two signature drinks, and they made them exactly how we wanted. We also had our rehearsal dinner at Union Station, which was another great experience. We had our own space in the outdoor tent, along with our own bar, and chose dinner stations for our guests. The food was great, and the service was just as wonderful. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day, Union Station made everything easy and stress-free. We would absolutely recommend them for any event!

Exceeded all expectations
Our guests are still talking about how beautiful Union Station was. The venue is elegant and classic, and the team truly went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. Don’t overlook Union Station
The moment my husband and I stepped into Union Station, we instantly knew this was the perfect venue for our wedding. The venue’s unique history and aesthetic appeal, coupled with flawless service and incredibly friendly staff, set the stage for an unforgettable day. The Event Coordinator, Neil Gadbois, was the orchestrator of our dream wedding, ensuring everything ran smoothly and with utmost calmness. Neil was transparent about the offerings within each package, never feeling pushy or like a salesperson trying to close a deal. His easygoing and responsive nature made the entire planning process smooth and enjoyable. Whenever we had a question, Neil was always there, ready with an answer. An event coordinator like that is accompanied by an incredible staff. Jaylene and Emma were amazing in taking care of us. Jaylene even greeted us with our signature drinks once we finished our ceremony, helping us kick off our celebration on the right foot. Our guests kept raving about the unique charm of the venue. It creates a nostalgic, speakeasy-like ambiance that takes you back in time. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and we highly recommend that others give Union Station a visit, you will not be disappointed. - Lisa & Marc

CHOOSE THIS VENUE
Where do we even begin? We heard about this venue through a friend of a friend who said the wedding coordinator was the best. After a few tours at other venues and feeling stressed about paying for every chair and napkin, we made our way to Union Station and met Neil. He was a breath of fresh air and the venue’s beauty was unmatched. Neil made the wedding planning process so enjoyable. As a usually type A person, I was prepared for loads of stress, so everyone around me was surprised by how laid back my now husband and I could be leading up to the wedding, know we picked the right team. They were flexible, understanding, responsive, kind, and just always made us feel special. To Emma, our lead server of the day, who made sure everyone was on track at every moment without ever pressuring us. This place is truly a well oiled machine filled with the the warmest crew. All this to say, CHOOSE THIS VENUE. I’ll keep bugging people to get married here so I can come back as guest! It was truly the best day of our lives and a lot of that thanks comes to this staff. 5 stars is not even enough!
