Established in 1991, the Club has long served as a distinguished gathering place for alumni, faculty, and friends of the University. We continue to foster connection and community through exceptional hospitality and timeless tradition. Guests enjoy complimentary parking adjacent to the Club, with event spaces fully equipped with tables, chairs, flatware, standard linens, and a full-service bar. Our Executive Chef, Jarrett Stutzenberger, a Sullivan University graduate with over 20 years of experience, leads a talented team dedicated to creating inspired menus and memorable dining experiences.     GRAND BALLROOM

    Where every occasion becomes a grand affair.

    The Grand Ballroom has the capacity to hold 200 guests if completely rented out. A permanent bar is located in the room. Perfect for weddings, large seminars, programs, graduations, rehearsal dinners, and any event the University of Louisville would have a need for. Beautiful chandeliers hang above and when coupled with candle lite from the tables make for a beautiful ambiance. It has Cathedral ceilings and also has an alcove which is perfect for locating AV equipment for DJs or Bands.

      Great people and amazing space

      The University Club was the perfect setting for our celebration. The Grand Ballroom is elegant, spacious, and easily customizable to fit any theme. The layout worked beautifully for dinner and dancing, and our guests loved the convenient parking and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a hidden gem on campus — timeless, classy, and versatile for any occasion!

      The food!

      The food at the University Club was absolutely outstanding! Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted incredible Our guests are still talking about the meal. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly timed. The catering team truly went above and beyond to deliver a restaurant-quality dining experience for our event.

    Yes, absolutely! Our chef works closely with our catering director to ensure that all dietary needs are accommodated. Whether it’s vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-specific, we’re happy to make appropriate adjustments so that every guest can enjoy their meal comfortably. We just ask that you share any dietary restrictions in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
    Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 30 days of your booked date, we’ll bill you the full amount of all estimated charges.
    Your reservation includes 4 hours from start to finish. Additional time is available upon request for additional fee.
    Yes, parking is included with your booking with us! Parking is located adjacent to the building with a parking gate. The gate will be set to raise for your event!
    Being located on campus at U of L, our peak seasons typically correspond to school season! Slower times being during summer shutdown and winter break.

    We do not allow outside beverages to be brought into the club.
