Wild Basin Lodge's unspoiled natural beauty meets a one-of-a-kind, carefully orchestrated wedding planning process at Wild Basin Lodge. The stunning Rocky Mountains are the backdrop for your dream wedding, while behind the scenes, every detail is meticulously tracked and managed by the Lodge’s on-site team. With only one wedding a day, the lodge provides complete privacy and 13 acres to explore with your new spouse and photographer, capturing your love with the most incredible surroundings.

Your guests will enjoy a one-of-a-kind breath taking view while you say your I-do's! It is a short walk from the lodge to the Meadow Peak ceremony area allowing your guests to enjoy everything Colorado has to offer: the Rocky Mountains, a meadow, Aspen trees, wildlife, and the St. Vrain River.

Beautiful venue, friendly staff, catering okay
Wild Basin Lodge is a stunning venue nestled in the mountains, and the natural backdrop made for gorgeous photos and an unforgettable setting for our ceremony and reception. Throughout the planning process, communication from the team was sometimes scattered, although they did eventually respond to our questions. Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was the catering, which became a real sore spot on our wedding day. The steak options presented at our group tasting did not align with what was available when we finalized our menu. We were offered three different cuts at varying price points during the tasting, but when it came time to choose our entree, only the most expensive cut was available. More importantly, the food quality and preparation were inconsistent. Many guests shared that their steaks were significantly overcooked, with inconsistent doneness even among guests seated at the same table. Most disappointing was the food served to us as the bride and groom. Despite receiving individually plated meals rather than the family-style service provided to our guests, our steaks were so overcooked that the bride could barely cut through hers and ultimately ate only one of the sides (mac and cheese). When we requested replacement steaks, those were inconsistent as well. The roasted vegetables were also undercooked and difficult to cut through. It was particularly disappointing to feel that our own meals, as the two people being celebrated, had not received the attention to detail we expected on our wedding day. Catering was our largest wedding expense, so we had high expectations for this part of the experience. Unfortunately, the quality and consistency of the food did not meet those expectations. We also shared these concerns with the venue after our wedding, but we were disappointed that we did not feel a meaningful resolution was offered other than discussing our concerns with the catering team. Given the extent of the issues and the cost of catering, the lack of a satisfactory resolution added to our disappointment with the overall experience. Ultimately, Wild Basin Lodge offers a gorgeous setting for a mountain wedding and we enjoyed many parts of our special day, but we wish the catering experience and the follow-through afterward had lived up to the beauty of the venue.

Wild Basin was wonderful! The venue was beautiful, from inside and out. The food was delicious, and they had some much variety! The getting ready space was perfect, the staff was wonderful our whole experience. The day of coordinator that was hired was amazing! Stefanie made our day run so so smoothly! The staff at Wild Basin were great and we couldn’t have had a better experience!

The Perfect Wedding in the Mountains
Absolutely zero regrets choosing Wild Basin Lodge to get married! The whole experience was seamless from start to finish, from communication with the WBL team to the well-timed planning meetings they arrange. I planned this wedding from California and they were so accommodating for that. Codi was our day-of coordinator and ran the day beautifully. The type A in me tried to come out a few times only to discover she was already on it. I never had a single thing to worry about. The day was perfect and we will cherish our memories here forever. Our guests all had great things to say about the experience! If an indoor/outdoor wedding in the mountains is what you're looking for - this is your venue.

BEST DAY EVER
Our wedding day at Wild Basin Lodge was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we chose the venue, Lauren and the entire Wild Basin Lodge team made us feel supported, cared for, and genuinely excited about every detail of our day. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. The mountain setting, beautiful ceremony space, and warm, inviting lodge created the perfect atmosphere for celebrating with our closest friends and family. Every detail came together beautifully—from the orchids and décor to the reception and our first dance. It felt elegant and romantic while still being completely personal to us. The food was absolutely incredible! People are still talking about how delicious everything was, which says so much about the quality and care that went into the meal. It was truly one of the highlights of the evening. What made the experience even more special was the staff. They were professional, organized, attentive, and incredibly kind. They anticipated what we needed, kept everything running smoothly, and allowed us to be fully present instead of worrying about logistics. Our family and friends are still talking about how beautiful the venue was, how wonderfully the team treated everyone, and how much fun they had. Wild Basin Lodge gave us more than a beautiful wedding—it gave us memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful to Lauren and the entire team for making our day feel effortless, meaningful, and unforgettable. We could not recommend Wild Basin Lodge more highly to any couple looking for a stunning Colorado mountain venue with an exceptional team behind it. Best Venue EVER
My husband and I got married here in August of 2025. We both knew the first time we toured WBL that we had found our venue. We looked around at a few others in the area (just to do our due diligence)- but this just helped us know for certain that WBL was the best choice for us. The entire process was seamless, from booking, to planning, to the day of! Maddie and Hawley made sure everything ran so smoothly- and we are so greatful to the entire team for all of their work! The attention to detail and work that the staff put in to making this the most special day was incredible. This venue is the perfect venue for couples looking for an "all inclusive" venue that allows you to put your own personal spin on things. I couldn't recommend this venue to have your wedding at more.
