About Edward Lau Film

Owner

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Edward Lau’s passion for storytelling and filmmaking began at a young age. His journey into the world of cinema led him to SFSU, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Cinema. After graduation, Edward later returned to HK, where he immersed himself in both the television and film industries. Edward has pursued his own creative projects, producing and directing several independent films. With one of his films earning an Audience Award at a local film festival—a testament to his talent and ability to connect with viewers through compelling storytelling.

For the past 17 years, Edward has also been a go-to wedding videographer, capturing over 900 weddings (and counting!). Known for his meticulous preparation, he always has backup gear for cameras and audio, ensuring that no moment—big or small—is ever missed. His laid-back yet professional demeanor allows him to bring out the best in every shoot, whether he’s documenting a couple’s special day or crafting a cinematic story. Edward’s work is a seamless blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep passion for storytelling, making him a versatile and reliable force in the world of filmmaking and videography.

    Edward Lau Film made our wedding day so much easier from start to finish. He was quick to respond to every question and genuinely helpful whenever we needed guidance. What really stood out was when he told us upfront that we'd get all the raw footage—we were shocked when we actually received it and saw hours of video from our perfect day. The quality of his work is amazing. Every moment was captured beautifully, and we honestly didn't expect to have so much to relive from our celebration. I couldn't recommend Edward Lau Film more to couples looking for a videographer who truly delivers.

    June 2026 Wedding Videographer

    We couldn’t be happier to have had Edward as our wedding videographer! Initially, we didn’t plan on having a videographer at all, but we made the decision last minute - and we are SO glad we did. From the moment we booked him, Edward was incredibly kind, thorough, and so easy to work with. We truly can’t recommend having a wedding videographer enough!     Perfect for our wedding!

    We found Edward as we were searching for wedding videographers. He was very responsive, accommodating, and great to work with for us and our coordinator starting from our first inquiry. Edward is very experienced, and he was able to provide our footage soon after our wedding, so we're able to watch all our wedding day memories.     Incredible, Experienced, Talented Videographer!!!

    We feel incredibly blessed to have found Edward as our wedding videographer!! We had a short three month wedding timeline and Edward was recommended to us by our wedding photographer. He was available for the date we wanted and worked with us to put together a wedding package that worked best for us. He was very easy to communicate with before, during, and after our wedding. He captured all the special moments during our wedding and put together the most beautiful wedding video for us. In addition to the ten minute wedding video, he also edited a one minute highlight reel video. We have watched them both countless times, it really brings us back to our special day! Edward has been working in the industry for a long time and it shows. He has such a calm, gentle presence - which is exactly what you want on your wedding day! We also loved the option of having access to the raw footage after. This is something that has been very fun to look back on, there are so many little moments you forget about and being able to watch all of the footage brings you back to that time. We are insanely thankful to have found Edward to video our wedding day! He cares deeply about his work and the people he works with. We cannot recommend him enough, he is a truly special person.
