I’m Ryan, the filmmaker behind Gray Mustache Studios. After nearly a decade in weddings, I launched my own studio in 2023, blending documentary storytelling with a crafted, cinematic option for couples who want something more guided. I’m also a career firefighter in Howell, which taught me calm under pressure and the value of preserving meaningful moments. The studio is named in honor of my dad and his gray mustache — a reminder to capture moments before they pass.

Every couple deserves a wedding film that feels true to them. That’s why we offer two distinct approaches: a quiet, documentary style that captures your day naturally, and a bespoke, cinematic option for couples who want something more guided and artfully composed. No matter the style, your experience is tailored, personal, and stress‑free. And when it’s all done, your films are delivered on a keepsake USB and a premium video frame — a modern heirloom you can relive anytime without searching through files or devices.

Description

All of our documentary packages are custom-created for you. The base package covers 5 hours with one videographer. It includes a full-length doc with no time limit. We deliver your film digitally on a custom wooden USB and a video frame. Taxes, fees, and travel up to 2 hours are included Our list of add-ons: Extended hours: $500/hour up to 10 hours total, Second Videographer: $750, Highlight Video: $500, Digital Super 8 Footage: $350

Together, we meticulously plan every detail from start to finish, ensuring you and your partner shine throughout the film. Limited to just two weddings per year, the Bespoke Film package offers an exclusive, tailored experience—giving your special day the cinematic attention it truly deserves.

    10/10 Videography Experience!!!

    We recently got married the first weekend of September (Labor Day weekend) at The Barn at Walnut Grove in Lenhartsville, PA. We really wanted a videographer but couldn't justify spending 5,000 for a 10-15 minute video. When we found Ryan and Gray Mustache Studios, we found a super cool videographer who prides himself in providing FULL LENGTH documentaries for a VERY reasonable price. I am SO glad I kept digging and found him!!! From our initial call to the big day, he was super nice and was happy to answer all of our questions and work with our day-of schedule. He jumped right in with our photography team (who he had never met before), and they worked BRILLIANTLY together. Ryan was never imposing, yet captured everything important that we wanted. He was there for all of our special moments, but also gave some private moments too. He was so easy going and went with the flow, and was very fun and energetic which is so important to have vendors with positive vibes on your special day!! Ryan sent us our social trailer within a couple days of the wedding and it was so awesome to see that and have that so soon!!! We recently got our full length documentary video back and it's AMAZING!! The video quality is great and he allowed a lot of the noise of the actual day to come through (in a good way) so we could relive it and experience it from a different lens!! He incorporated some music throughout and transitioned between the different parts of the day well (yet in order of events), and in general did an awesome job putting it together!! He even captured our zip-line moment on camera, which was great!! Super happy with it and looking forward to enjoying it for years to come!! We are very happy with our choice to hire Ryan / GMS and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a solid videography experience, a documentary style film, and a reasonable price point. Thank you Ryan!!!!

    HIGHLY recommend!!

    We cannot recommend Ryan enough as our wedding videographer! He captured our wedding day so beautifully and authentically, allowing us to relive every special moment all over again. Watching our video brings us right back to the emotions, joy, and love we felt that day, and it’s something we will cherish forever. Ryan was professional, easy to work with, and made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. He paid incredible attention to detail. Having the ability to watch our special day back is truly priceless, and we are so grateful to Ryan for preserving our memories so perfectly.     Couldn't be happier!

    I honestly could not be happier with Ryan's work! He was able to accommodate my request of filling just our ceremony for an extremely affordable and appropriate price. He was very professional, we barely noticed he was there filming. Ryan returned our edited video back very timely and made quick edits for the perfect video. He provided exactly what we were looking for, at a great price and was a pleasure to work with. Thank you Ryan!!

    Perfect proposal photographer!

    Ryan did a great job capturing my proposal. He worked with my fiancé to get the perfect shot & even stayed after to shoot more of the two of us after the proposal. Couldn’t recommend him more!!!

    Fantastic Proposal and Engagement Shoot

    Ryan travelled to NYC to photograph my proposal and engagement shoot. He is incredibly professional and went above and beyond to help pick out the perfect spot to propose. Friends and family have continued to comment on how great our pictures turned out. I highly recommend working with Ryan for wedding related photography and videography.

To an extent. It would only be a single handheld camera, but it can get done if that happens.
Unfortunately, we don't have the man power to offer same-day edits.
Only the social media or trailer will be public on our YouTube and social media. Some of our favorite full-length edits will also be available on YouTube. However, at any time you can request to keep it private.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings yearly to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
It all depends. I can handle almost any wedding as a single shooter. If you would like getting ready footage from two separate locations, I recommend two.
