Jonathan Hanes Films

For over a decade, I've had the honor of telling love stories through wedding films, capturing the moments that make each celebration truly unique. Alongside my work as a video producer for the Kansas City Royals, I've developed a passion for storytelling that goes beyond simply documenting what happens. I want to capture how it feels. My approach to wedding filmmaking is rooted in authenticity. I believe the most meaningful moments are often the ones that happen naturally. The quiet looks, the unexpected laughs, the emotional embraces, and the connections shared with the people who matter most.

I'm a husband of 12 years and a proud dad to two amazing girls. My family is my greatest inspiration, and we love spending our time together, cheering on the Kansas City Royals, visiting Disney World, and making memories on Disney cruises. Being married and a father has given me a deeper appreciation for the importance of preserving the moments we share with the people we love most. I understand how quickly time passes and how meaningful it is to have a way to return to those memories. My goal is to create a wedding film that allows you to relive the emotions of your day the joy, the excitement, the laughter, and the love.

    Incredible! So worth it!- we’re so happy with it!

    I wish I could give Jonathan a 10 out of 5 star review, but unfortunately, that’s not an option. When I say that he was amazing, is an understatement. He exceeded all of the expectations we had, in a wedding video. As it doesn’t seem like a wedding video, but rather it seems like a movie made by a Hollywood producer! Not even exaggerating. And that’s what all of our family and friends say as well, when watching it! So if you’re thinking about doing a wedding video. Don’t just do it. But do it with Jonathan. Jonathan, we cannot thank you enough for being such a major part in our big day. And also for allowing us to experience it more times, than once. Your work is amazing!!

    Absolutely AMAZING

    Jonathon did an incredible job from the beginning! We booked him through Kelsey Diane Photography so our photographer and videographer knew each other well which made the day go so much smoother as they worked around each other and helped the other out. We got the video back just over two months after our wedding and loved every detail of it from the style, minimal editing and music choices and scenes he chose to use. He also worked with us very well when we had a Kansas City wedding but lived in Georgia and was always quick to respond to emails. I would highly recommend him to anyone! Amazing person.

Wedding films to me is all about telling your story. My favorite part of any video I produce it telling a story, and in this case it is your wedding story.
Yes, I do fly my drone for wedding films. Only time I do not is when it is not permitted in that location.
Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 20 total guests.
When creating your wedding film my goal is to create a great and timeless film for you to enjoy for years to come. Since each wedding is different and unique in its own way, I don’t set time frame to your film. You might have short traditional vows, and the next have long personal vows, with these variables it is impossible for me to set time frames. I never want to fill your film with filler content to reach a time frame. Instead I want it to be a great film regardless of length.
Once you know your wedding date, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. I only film a limited number of weddings every year.
That all depends on locations and timeline. I offer packages with one or two videgaphers. Most weddings can be captured great with just one, but if you have seperate locations for your wedding party to get ready at or just want as much captured as possible I would recommend two videographers to ensure we’re able to capture every moment of your special day.
Actually yes! It isnt as easy to capture your ceremony, but I have done it. If rain is in the forecast and you dont mind getting wet, we can plan accordingly.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
All footage we film is edited by myself or someone on my team of videographers..
Definitely! I love to travel! If your wedding is over 50 miles outside the Kansas City metropolitan area, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations. While we’re based in Brooklyn, New York, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. the New York City
