For Keeps Film Co

We specialize in documentary wedding films, inspired by classic home-movies. We use handheld camcorders and vintage cameras to capture your day as it happened and craft a documentary that tells your story in full, from start to finish. Our films range from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on your day and your package.

Not everyone wants a wedding film that feels like a Hollywood movie trailer. Sometimes simple is better. Our home-movie style wedding documentaries are perfect for couples who want a wedding video without all the frills. Our films are made for you and yours, and always made for keeps.

    Look no further for your wedding videographer!

    Where to begin!! We could not possibly be more thrilled with our wedding video. Jake is a genius and a true talent. Working with him from our initial inquiry to the final product was smooth sailing and a true pleasure. From our first call, my husband and I felt like Jake understood our vision perfectly. We wanted a fly on the wall, extremely authentic but also beautiful and artistic time capsule of our wedding, and we got exactly that and then some. Jake’s mission perfectly matches what he does so beautifully - creates a time capsule of your special day. The mix of modern and vintage style came together beautifully. The videographers on the day made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and were a joy to have around on our wedding day. We felt very taken care of throughout the entire process. A staple of Jake’s style is testimonials from wedding guests. We felt that the testimonials served as a virtual guest book, which is amazing because so many people forget to sign the guest book and will say so much more out loud. It was beyond special to hear what our family and friends had to say to us on our wedding day. Watching our wedding video filled us with pride and joy and has brought many tears to the eyes of everyone who has watched it.     Authentic & Perfect Wedding Video

    I could not recommend For Keeps Film Co. enough! Jake is a dream to work with and our wedding film came out even more perfect than I could have imagined. As someone else mentioned, they have a distinct style of videography that lends itself to the viewer feeling like they are at the event watching it happen in real time vs. a more curated cinematic overview of the event. I personally love it because it felt incredibly authentic and I'll love watching it years from now and feeling like I'm re-living the moment. While not the style for everyone, for those who like this style, you won't be disappointed using For Keeps!

    THE BEST DOCUMENTARY STYLE VIDEOGRAPHER IN ATLANTA

    I can't say enough good things about Jake and Retro Wedding Films. I initally did not want a wedding video. Nowadays, every video I see looks like a cheesy movie trailer, with drone shots of a wedding venue and a voiceover of vows. I wanted a video that fully captured our wedding and the people there, like my parents' wedding video, where their best man/maid of honor walked around with a camcorder talking to them and their guests. This is exactly what Jake and his team delivered. I now have a 2 hour video, full of interviews of my friends, wedding party, and family, our whole ceremony, speeches, and so many beautiful shots of our venue. I reccommend adding the Super 8 footage as well, it was very affordable and it makes my wedding look straight out of a movie!! If you want a real, genuie representation of your wedding, Retro Wedding Films is the way to go!

    Perfect Style and Great Customer Service!

    Retro wedding films captured our day so beautifully! I love their documentary style and editing that really captured our full day! It was great to see individual interviews in addition to the hustle and bustle that was going on throughout the day that we (bride and groom) obviously didn’t get to see. They were so nice to work with and our whole wedding party and family felt really comfortable working with them. Felt like they partnered well with our photographer too. I liked that they had a lot of different options of packages to really help fit into any budget, and while we won this video coverage through a contest in their page. I’m confident we would have chose them regardless to capture our day. Overall we had a great experience with Jake and his team, and would highly recommend them for your future wedding!

    Best Videographer!

    Retro Wedding Films did a phenomenal job filming my wedding! I love how the video looked more homemade and authentic than other videographers' crazy bright and artificial-looking videos. A friend and the photographer I used (Rosethorn Photography) recommended Retro Wedding Films and I could not be more happy with my decision. We had Jake Goodman and he was friendly and professional the entire interaction. He got the video back to us within two months of getting married and this was prime wedding season with us being married in late June. The video showed great shots of the church before and after the ceremony, it had the best angles of our ceremony with him having three cameras around the room and kept our microphones on as we left and caught a sweet moment between my husband and me. Please use them you will not regret it!
