Star City Creations specializes in capturing weddings in a natural, documentary style so couples can relive the sights, sounds, emotions and special moments of their day for years to come. We focus on telling the complete story of your wedding—from the ceremony and vows to the first dance, celebrations and candid moments in between. Our goal is to create a wedding video that feels genuine, personal and true to you.

We provide unobtrusive, multi-camera wedding coverage with an emphasis on capturing the moments that matter without taking over your day. Professional audio helps preserve important moments such as your vows, ceremony and toasts, while multiple cameras allow us to capture different perspectives. We also offer several package options at approachable prices, giving couples the flexibility to choose the coverage that best fits their wedding and budget.

    I originally worked with Rob to convert VHS tapes my then boyfriend had from his late father. Rob was amazing to work with and took great care to ensure the tapes were converted well (they were in rough shape), his attention to detail and chapter creation on the videos was amazing! When we got engaged, I knew exactly who I wanted to shoot our wedding video. Rob did an amazing job capturing the venue, the ceremony and a few cute moments after that we will cherish forever. I cannot more highly recommend him to capture your big day!

    Rob is an amazing videographer and captured so many details from my wedding day. When my husband and I rewatched our wedding video, we couldn’t have been happier. We laughed and we cried. It felt like we were there all over again. With his documentary style video he was able to capture so many special moments. He really took his time with editing and you can really appreciate his attention to detail. The music that he chose was very tasteful and added a special touch to each scene. I am appreciative beyond words that we have this video that captured not only my husband and myself, but our guests and our wedding party. We use professional Sony 4K cameras and a multi-camera setup to capture your wedding from several perspectives. We also use dedicated audio recorders and wireless microphones to capture important moments such as your vows, ceremony and toasts clearly.
We stay as unobtrusive as possible. Our cameras are positioned before the ceremony begins so we can capture multiple angles without constantly moving around or distracting you, your guests or your photographer. Our goal is for you to enjoy your wedding—not feel like you're on a film set.
We make every effort to capture your family, friends and guests throughout the ceremony and reception. Our use of multiple cameras and wide shots helps us capture much more of the atmosphere and the people who shared your day, although we can't guarantee that every individual guest will appear on camera.
Very little, if at all. Our style is primarily documentary and candid, allowing your wedding day to happen naturally while we capture it. We may occasionally suggest a simple shot when appropriate, but we don't want your wedding to feel staged around the video.
We arrive early enough to get our cameras and audio equipment fully set up and tested before the important moments begin. Your exact arrival time will depend on the coverage included in your package and the schedule we plan together before your wedding day.
Absolutely. We regularly serve couples throughout the Roanoke Valley, New River Valley, Lynchburg and surrounding areas, and we're happy to travel farther when our schedule allows. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.
Whenever possible, we work with the natural and existing lighting of your venue so your ceremony and reception maintain their atmosphere and we remain unobtrusive. Our cameras perform well in lower-light environments, and when additional lighting is necessary, we keep it as discreet as possible.
A signed agreement and the required retainer reserve your wedding date. Once those are received, your date is officially booked and taken off our availability calendar. The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule in your agreement.
Yes. Raw footage can be added to your wedding package if you'd like to keep the original recordings from your day. Because raw footage can include a large amount of data, it may be provided on a compatible storage drive supplied or purchased for the project.
Your finished wedding videos are delivered digitally through Google Drive, making them easy to watch, download and share with family and friends. USB drives and DVD copies can also be provided upon request.
As soon as you have your wedding date and venue confirmed, we recommend reaching out. Popular spring, summer and fall dates can book well in advance, but we’re also happy to accommodate shorter-notice weddings whenever the date is available.
Yes. Weather doesn’t stop us from documenting your day. We’ll work with your venue and wedding-day plan to adjust camera placement and protect our equipment while continuing to capture the important moments.
Your finished videos are delivered privately to you. You decide who you share the viewing or download link with. We never want couples to feel that their wedding has to be made public.
Your wedding video is personally edited by Star City Creations rather than being sent to an outside editing service. The same care and attention that goes into capturing your wedding day continues throughout the editing process, helping ensure your finished video reflects the moments, emotions and story of your celebration.
