Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, our meeting house was constructed in 1930 during the administration of the Quaker president, Herbert Hoover. It was built to serve as a house of worship and a gathering place for those wanting to “seek peace and pursue it.” The building was enlarged in 1950. In 1970, we acquired the red brick Quaker House, Carriage House and garden at 2121 Decatur Place NW. Built in the 1920s and also on the National Register, these buildings today house a number of nonprofit organizations and small businesses as well as additional event spaces. With multiple interior spaces and gardens, we can accommodate events of various sizes and layouts, from 2 to 300. We host individuals, non-profit organizations, and for-profit entities. Our event rental prices are affordable, with discounts offered to non-profit organizations in alignment with our values. Whether you are planning a wedding, celebration, a corporate meeting, we can accommodate you.

Downtown Washington and surrounding neighborhoods like Georgetown, Dupont Circle, and Foggy Bottom offer excellent venue options with unmatched urban convenience. The downtown area provides walkability for guests, abundant hotel accommodations, and iconic photo backdrops including the National Mall and historic architecture. Many couples appreciate the accessibility of downtown venues, allowing guests to easily explore the nation's capital before or after the celebration. Waterfront venues near Navy Yard offer Potomac River views, while Georgetown's historic charm creates an elegant backdrop. Downtown locations also simplify logistics for out-of-town guests arriving at Union Station or flying into the area. The concentration of museums, rooftop event spaces, and historic mansion venues in the downtown corridor gives couples diverse style options within a compact, transit-friendly area.

Among Zola couples marrying in Washington, May, September, and October are the most popular months. Washington's spring season, particularly May, brings cherry blossoms, mild temperatures, and beautiful outdoor ceremony weather. September and October offer ideal fall conditions with comfortable temperatures in the 60s and 70s, lower humidity than summer, and stunning foliage in Rock Creek Park and along the Potomac River. These shoulder season months balance pleasant weather with venue availability. Summer months (June through August) can be hot and humid, though waterfront venues near the Potomac provide breezes. Winter weddings offer lower demand and the possibility of festive holiday décor downtown, though outdoor ceremonies require weather contingencies. Spring and fall remain Washington's most reliably comfortable seasons for both ceremonies and celebrations.

Washington's 100-guest ZWCI range (around $35,900 to $53,900) is above the national median total of $25,000 and around the metro average of around $50,100, both from Zola's 2026 Wedding Spend Survey of 720 couples. This positions Washington as a higher-cost wedding destination compared to the national median, though it aligns with what couples typically spend in major metropolitan areas. The metro average from Zola's survey (around $50,100) is significantly higher than non-metro weddings (around $35,600), and Washington falls within this expected metro premium. At around $300 per guest nationally, Washington venues reflect the capital city's premium real estate and hospitality costs. Couples should expect pricing consistent with other major East Coast cities, with venue starting prices on Zola listings ranging from around $5,600 to $20,000.

For the most sought-after dates in Washington, DC, plan to book 12 to 18 months in advance. Spring and fall are particularly popular wedding seasons here, with couples drawn to the city's cherry blossoms in April and colorful foliage in October. If you're planning a wedding during these peak months or on a Saturday evening, starting your venue search even earlier—up to two years ahead—gives you the best selection.

For more flexibility, consider winter months or Friday and Sunday celebrations, which often allow for booking windows of 6 to 9 months. According to the Zola Wedding Cost Index, venue costs in DC range from around $6,600 to $9,900 for 100 guests. Early booking not only secures your preferred date but may also give you more time to negotiate packages and lock in current pricing before any seasonal increases.

Washington, DC offers distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character for weddings. Georgetown brings historic charm with cobblestone streets and Potomac River views, ideal for couples seeking classic elegance. Capitol Hill provides iconic backdrops with its tree-lined streets and proximity to the city's most recognizable landmarks, perfect for guests combining the wedding with sightseeing.

Dupont Circle offers a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere with easy Metro access for out-of-town guests, while Navy Yard delivers modern waterfront settings along the Anacostia River with industrial-chic aesthetics. Foggy Bottom sits conveniently near the National Mall and Rock Creek Park, offering versatility for couples wanting both urban sophistication and natural beauty.
