“I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“I had booked Andrew as our DJ for our wedding and I’m so glad I did! From the first phone call, he made us feel comfortable and heard. He felt genuine in a way that none of the other DJs that we talked to did. He does a great job catering to what the customer wants and personalizing their announcements and songs. “I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

He embraced the costume theme of our reception, performed significantly more music than we had expected (in a good way), and was the absolute heart and soul of our party. He improvised and adapted to every unique situation on the night with a musical and social sense of awareness that we continue to be grateful for. He even graciously agreed to play alongside Andrea's 94 year old grandmother on her accordion. Grandma is still beaming from this experience, and trust me, she's a hard woman to please. Seriously. I don't think we can ever repay him for the joy and energy he brought to our night.
