My name is Ashton. I’m drawn to the things that can’t be recreated: a glance across a crowded room, a hand held a little tighter, the feeling of knowing your life is about to change. My work is rooted in documenting those moments as they unfold, without performance or pretense. I believe the most meaningful photographs are the ones that feel honest. The ones that transport you back not just to how it looked, but to how it felt. Through a blend of documentary storytelling and refined imagery, I create photographs that become part of your history. Artifacts of love, connection, and the people who made it all matter.

Awarded Best of Zola
As a photographer myself, it's not usually easy for me to be in front of the camera but Ashton showed up with a friendly demeanor and talked me through the process which made me so comfortable having my photo taken. This shows in the photos I received from her - fully-edited and beautiful!! I feel like I made a friend right away meeting Ashton and would recommender for anyone looking for photos!

I’m Andy Wickstrom and I’ll help you bring your wedding day adventure to life, but document it all in a style that feels authentic, modern and full of emotion. With over 40 five-star Google Reviews, and more than a decade of photography experience documenting adventurous couples and outdoor athletes, I’m stoked and ready to find creative ways to tell the story of your epic day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Trust me when I say, Andy is without a doubt the guy you want photographing your wedding. From the moment I saw the first of his portfolio, I knew he was the perfect fit. He showed how valuable and professional he is from the very beginning. I forgot to confirm our initial meeting, but Andy made it work anyway, a sign of adaptability that we greatly appreciated. He is easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable, and is very helpful in explaining options and posing. I am extremely picky about photos, so I looked at many portfolios before choosing to interview anyone, and Andy has the best eye I’ve seen by far. His photos are timeless, artsy, and just downright beautiful. You will get an amazing variation of photos: movement, perfect lighting, details, posing (with his help, thankfully!) and THE BEST candid photos. We had never been to a wedding like ours, but Andy gave great advice and really helped us visualize and plan our day. We got married shortly after Hurricane Helene so we couldn’t get to our original adventure session hike, but Andy had a whole album of back up hikes for us to choose from, all of which were just as stunning as our first choice. We had the best time spending our day with Andy, we truly could not be happier with our photos. We’re only a year out from our wedding and I’m already scheming for an anniversary shoot! Choose Andy, I promise you’ll never regret it!

I’m an Asheville-based photographer and lover of the great outdoors, home cooked meals, hot summer days, and going on adventures. We had the best experience working with Nick for our engagement photos! From the moment we met him, he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and guided us through poses in a way that felt natural, relaxed, and fun. We shot at The Looking Glass and up in the mountains, and the views and locations he helped us choose were absolutely breathtaking—truly unforgettable. Our photos turned out stunning, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a photographer who is talented, thoughtful, and amazing to work with!

Choosing the right photographer is a big deal—truly one of the decisions that can make or break your entire experience. We met Nathan at the very beginning of our journey, during our engagement shoot at the Biltmore Estate. We were both nervous, awkward, and completely unsure of what to expect. Then Nathan arrived, and everything changed. Within minutes he had us laughing, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying ourselves. That was the moment we knew he wasn’t just talented—he was special. So when it came time to choose someone to capture our wedding in Sedona, we took a chance and asked if he would fly out. Honestly, we thought it was a long shot… but he immediately said yes. And thank goodness he did. I will never forget the moment he walked into the room on my wedding day. I had just started feeling that wave of nerves while finishing my hair, and the instant Nathan stepped in, I felt completely at ease. How does he do that? He has this quiet magic about him—an ability to ground you, hype you up, and disappear into the background all at once. His passion is infectious. His eye for intimate, meaningful moments is unreal. And somehow, while capturing every single one of those moments, he manages to remain practically invisible. When we received our gallery, we both laughed, cried, and sat there in awe. It felt like reliving the day, but through the lens of someone who truly understood us. To put it simply: Nathan is gifted. Exceptionally, unmistakably gifted. We even showed our engagement photos to another top-tier photographer, and her reaction was: “Book him immediately. His editing is some of the most incredible work I’ve seen—I want to talk to him myself!” If you're reading reviews trying to decide who to trust with your memories, stop here. You’ve found the one. Nathan exceeded every expectation we had—and then ten more we didn’t even know we should have. He is the best of the best.

Hey there! John & Amy here, the husband and wife team behind the cameras. We’re both adventurers, daydreamers, and you guessed it wildly in love. Fun fact, we’re actually highschool sweethearts and have been together for 10+ years. We are currently based in NC and are transitioning to WA in 2022. We love to travel and are down to adventure throughout the US & Beyond. We both have a heart for exploration and love working with couples who share this adventurous spirit. Genuine smiles, hearty laughs, spontaneous adventures, that’s what we’re all about.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are over the moon with our photos and videos from Amy and John. The quality is incredible, and the quantity is unbelievable. They delivered an incredible amount of photos so quickly, and our friends and family have commented several times that it looks like our wedding was featured in a magazine spread because the quality is so impressive. We’ve been looking through them nonstop, and every time we see some new gem. They captured so many big and small moments throughout the weekend. It is incredible that they were able to capture so much without us or our guests feeling like there were cameras everywhere. They blended seamlessly, and it truly felt like we were just hanging out with them all day. They were so kind and lovely to work with and directed us beautifully, while allowing us to be ourselves and capturing genuine and authentic moments. They both brought such a calm presence. We can’t believe they captured so much content and so many angles when we don’t even remember them doing that - we mostly remember them being by our sides and talking and laughing with us. So many of our guests have said similar things. They truly impressed everyone and have given us so many incredible photos and videos to remember the weekend. Hiring them was such a great decision. We would 100% do it again and recommend them wholeheartedly.

If we could give more than 5 stars to Michael, we would. Michael is an amazing photographer and beyond that just a genuine amazing human being. When we first started looking for a photographer, we both went into it knowing that we are both incredibly awkward people when asked to pose. With this in mind, we started the big search - the one that everyone reminds you that will tell your stories for years. Enter finding Michael - his website mentioned candidness, and a documentary type of style. Two things that immediately caught our eye - not to mention looking through his previous work- which is just unbelievable! Throughout the year leading up to the wedding, Michael was incredibly helpful. He answered any questions we had and offered super helpful suggestions when figuring out the flow of the day. One tidbit that I would recommend to any bride is work with your photographer to create that timeline - a tidbit from Michael. He also managed to have a blog post for every type of question I had (and I had a lot LOL). A few weeks prior to the wedding, Michael met with us via zoom to go over the different elements of our days and to go over our family list (which was insanely helpful day of because we were able to knock those out)! When our wedding day arrived, he was there early to get everything set up and his presence just put everyone at ease. It felt like someone who had been part of our family friends rather than a wedding vendor - which was another element that was important to us: good vibes! Our wedding day and the pictures felt just like us - entertaining and full of laughter. We hiked through some trails for our first look, walked along a highway, and climbed rocks- which lead to nothing but new memories and lots of giggles. We both were really nervous about taking the posed pics but Michael put us in our natural element and just focused on capturing our story, which was a trend all throughout the day. None of us will ever forget the fact we forgot to tell him we had a 6 foot hoagie at the ceremony. We also had a blast using bubble guns for a photo op fake exit and learned there is such a thing as too many bubbles! Within a day after the wedding, we had a sneak peek - and we generally could not believe how AMAZING our photos turned out. It’s still surreal that we could look that good in photos, he captured exactly what we were hoping -us having the time of our life and starting our life together as husband and wife. CANNOT RECOMMEND HIM ENOUGH! P.S. Plus how awesome is it when your vendors are so cool that they feel like friends by the end of the wedding so you have to get a selfie to commemorate the hours of planning and talking you did to make the day one of the most incredible days EVER!!!

Each wedding and session has its own unique story to tell and I challenge myself to capture those stories through my camera as best as I can and would be honored to capture yours too!

Scott Smith photographed both our engagement proposal in St. Augustine and our wedding in Seffner, and I honestly can't say enough good things about him. From the get-go, he felt like someone I'd known my whole life — easy to talk to, warm, and completely genuine. He made the entire process effortless and even suggested shots we never would have thought of ourselves. Every one of them turned out amazing. What stood out most was that he was never in a rush. He took his time and made sure everything was right. He even traveled all the way from St. Augustine to Seffner to photograph our wedding, and that kind of dedication meant the world to us. Both he and his associate, Lynn, were incredibly professional from start to finish. Jessica was fantastic!! We had small outdoor wedding on a Tuesday in February with 24 guests and Jessica captured it perfectly. Prior to the wedding Jessica made sure every detail was covered and a timeline was created for a seamless day. Day of Jessica arrived on time and was ready to shoot! She was flexible, staying an extra hour to capture more of our cocktail hour and braved the cold as we had requested going to Dry Falls waterfall after the ceremony to get some shots. Our two large dogs were a part of the ceremony and Jessica was wonderful working with them prior and during the ceremony to get special shots with them! We absolutely love how all of our pictures turned out. Jessica captured our love perfectly and our day will forever be documented beautifully from her photos. Highly recommend Jessica!

Passionate about this earth and the humans that reside within it. Striving to tell a story with every photo I take and every moment recorded. I love capturing people in their most candid and natural moments and creating unique and marketable content for businesses and brands. When i’m not shooting weddings, you can find me traveling or out on the town with my wife Kaitlyn.

Awarded Best of Zola
Brian and I will be grateful forever that we chose Darrell & Kaitlyn Cassell for our wedding photography and videography. Until we received the pictures and videos back, we thought the best part of choosing them was the wedding day experience with them. I loved their approach and energy that day. They guided us seamlessly from one moment to the next, offering gentle direction when needed, but allowing everything to unfold naturally. Nothing ever felt forced or overly posed. Their calm, relaxed presence set such a peaceful tone for the entire day. When we got the photos and videos back, our gratitude skyrocketed. The images are absolutely stunning and I’ll let them speak for themselves. I have never felt more beautiful, and it feels like the joy of the day leaps right off the screen. I’m still blown away by how they managed to capture not just how everything looked, but exactly how it felt. I would choose them over and over and over again. I could not recommend them more and wish I could relive it again and again. The incredible highlight video is the closest I'll get to that and it's perfect. Everything was perfect.

Hi! We're Julie and Rad. We met in Vietnam in 2016, and have lived in eight countries together since then. During our time abroad we've had plenty of adventures, seen incredible wildlife, eaten a lot of wonderful food, and honed our photography skills. We also got married in 2020! Planning a wedding during a pandemic involved an unusual set of challenges. Although our guest count was a little smaller than we originally anticipated-- the day could not have been more perfect. This was made possible only because we hired and trusted the right people. We try to instill the same trust so you can enjoy your day!

Simply Amazing! We had our engagement shoot at the Biltmore estate and it was nothing short of magical. Julie was able to capture exactly what I wanted the pictures to look like. She is a joy to work with and helped us feel relaxed and at ease. I can’t stop looking at my pictures and everyone that lays eyes on them is OBSESSED! They take your pictures and capture who you are but also make it look like a beautiful piece of art. I simply cannot say enough good things!

Hi, I'm Renee Leigh, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Asheville, NC. I'm passionate about capturing real, candid moments and all of the beautiful details that make your love story unique. As a destination wedding photographer, I have the joy and experience of photographing couples all across the U.S., and I'm always ready to travel wherever your love takes you. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and truly seen on your wedding day. I look forward to creating something timeless together!

I am so pleased with my experience using Renee as our wedding photographer. She scouted out the venue ahead of time to study the landscape, lighting, and finds points of interest for the photos. She set very clear expectations and instructions for what she needed for the day. She delivered exactly the types of photos we asked for. Additionally, she was adaptable and ready for what the day brought (weather changes, fun antics with guests, moments getting ready, etc.) and used a creative approach to capture those moments in the best way. During the day I found her to be a strong ally and easy companion- very helpful, brought good energy, and was intuitive to what the groom and I needed. She was always there at the right times, yet would seamlessly float away to give us space. She felt more like a friend than a vendor. Highly recommend!
