“Booking with Black Tie Entertainment was the best choice we could have made. Our initial call with Matt Johnson to see what services were provided was an extremely thorough and engaging. My husband and I felt so comfortable with the services he recommended and appreciated the time he took to talk through typical timeline for DJs and coordinators leading up to the big day. We booked a DJ and month of coordinator and were wow’d. Our DJ, Chris Laing, was extremely professional in the way he led our introductory and timeline calls. He truly listened to what kind of vibe we wanted for our wedding and executed it perfectly. In the words of my husband, friends, and family, our wedding was lit! Our coordinator Becca Manning was very kind on our introduction call. Unfortunately, there was an error in the system and she was double booked but she found us the most amazing coordinator, Nikki Clark. Black Tie worked to get Nikki into their system so there was minimal impact to my husband and I plus we adored working with Nikki. Overall, my husband and I could not be happier with having booked with Black Tie Entertainment! 10/10 quality, people, and executions”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Summit Events and DJ Sean Markland were amazing to work with! Do you want to have the most epic dance party of your life at your wedding? Do you want your guests on the dance floor all night? Do you want the wedding playlist to be a reflection of you and your spouse's music choices? Then you want to book Summit Events ASAP. Our wedding DJ was Sean Markland and he was just phenomenal to work with. Prior to our wedding we had a lengthy call with Sean; my husband and I were very picky with our wedding playlist and had a rule of absolutely no traditional wedding reception songs or line-dances. We love electronic dance music (EDM) and wanted our wedding to be "festival/show vibes". We pretty much curated our own playlist of EDM, country, hip-hop, folk and I really wasn't sure how our guests would respond (and we really didn't care because it was our wedding), but the way Sean mixed and transitioned the songs and hyped up the dance floor kept the vibes going all night! We used Summit Events for our up lighting too - highly recommend as it was a great way to turn the room from a classy dinner reception to a dance party in one click! The sound quality was great for both speeches and music; we wanted to make sure guests could hear speeches clearly and we had no issues at all even though it was a large room. I also appreciated the Vibo app that we used to plan out our ceremony, entrances, first dances and our playlist for the night - it was a great tool that kept songs and notes in one place. We would definitely use Sean and Summit Events again and highly recommend them for the best night of your life!”

“Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. “If you want a wedding where people actually dance all night, hire Double E. Elon was incredible. Right after dinner, Elon took over and kept the floor full until the lights came on. He played a great mix that had everyone out there, from our college friends to our grandparents. His announcements were clean, the speech timing was spot on, and he was never annoying on the mic. Plus, during planning, he was always quick to answer emails and super easy to work with. So many of our guests texted us afterwards asking who our DJ was. If Elon is free for your date, definitely book him!”

“Where do I even begin?! Seth was absolutely incredible and played such a huge part in making our wedding the best night of our lives. From the very beginning, he was a consummate professional, organized, and so easy to work with. He stayed in touch throughout the planning process, sent helpful spreadsheets, and made creating our perfect wedding playlist completely stress-free. The energy he brought to our reception was unmatched. Our dance floor was packed all night long, and guests are still talking about how much fun they had. Adding Seth's disco light package was one of the best decisions we made, it completely transformed the space and created the most magical atmosphere. We were hooked immediately !! and compelled to share Scott’s talents and story with our friends and family. Scott’s presence in the room creates an environment that is calm yet festive. When Scott is singing you willingly become his captive audience. Scott’s intentional serenade feels personal though in reality the whole audience has been engaged. The breadth of Scott’s talent has yet to be revealed. Sure he is refined in opera and one of the best crooners and we have seen him perform solo and with a band. Every venue every performance has been enjoyable and memorable. It is so exciting to see Scott continue to spread his musical wings to share his gift with more people. Scott is genuinely kind, humble and attentive to his audience. The combination of his personal warmth and incredible talent is difficult to convey in words.
