The hair and makeup trial were meticulous, and Jenna addressed every comment I had so that on the big day, it was absolutely perfect. As a 53-year old “bride” renewing our wedding vows, I did not expect to look like a supermodel, but Jenna made me look and feel more beautiful than I ever dreamt possible. I included my daughter, nieces and close friends for hair and make up services and found Jenna and her team amazing in how they managed multiple needs for multiple individuals and kept us on schedule. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful from ages ranging from 16 to 55. I also opted for the bridal valet service, which I can’t recommend highly enough. With that service, Jenna stayed with me through the beginning of the reception to help straightening the train, holding flowers during pictures, touching up my make up, and overall keeping me calm, cool and collected. “I discovered Cat/windycityglam through Reddit and Instagram, and I felt confident choosing her for my wedding glam thanks to the consistently glowing reviews on social media and Google, along with her impressively extensive and actively updated portfolio. Still, I was nervous—past professional makeup experiences often left me feeling unlike myself, so hiring an artist was one of the more daunting parts of wedding planning. Cat completely changed that for me with her thoughtful communication leading up to the wedding, during the trial, and on the wedding day itself. The trial set clear expectations, gave us the chance to discuss my comfort levels and preferences, and allowed Cat to really get to know my features. She took meticulous notes, photos, and videos to ensure every angle and lighting were considered. On the wedding day, she refined the look slightly from the trial, and the result was even better than I imagined. For reference, I scheduled my trial the same week as the wedding, which I highly recommend—it kept details fresh for both Cat and me and minimized variables. Cat and her hairstylist arrived at our hotel suite at 7 a.m., and the morning flew by. Cat was warm, conversational, and attentive—always checking in and inviting me to share input, which made me feel part of the process. My makeup held up flawlessly through happy tears, hugs, dancing, and plenty of sweating, with just one lipstick touch-up before the ceremony. I felt radiant, confident, and—most importantly—like myself. She also styled my hair beautifully into a low bun, even teaching my sister how to place and remove my veil, and secured it so well that it stayed perfect all night despite all the movement. I would wholeheartedly recommend Cat to my family, friends, and especially Asian brides who may be hesitant about professional makeup. “Tai was my makeup artist for my wedding, and she was wonderful to work with - professional, on time, kind, and patient throughout the entire process. I was pleased with my final look and felt like a more glam version of myself, which was what I wanted. Five of us had our makeup done, and Tai took great care with each person, especially my sister who has very sensitive skin and my mom whose makeup preferences were more specific. We also loved the touch-up kits provided for each of us. Tai was open to feedback both during my bridal trial and on the wedding day itself (pictures of my trial attached - realized I didn't take a good plain make up shots on the day of). Since I don’t have much experience with makeup terminology, it took us a little longer to get to what I wanted for my eye makeup and lip color. Tai was very accommodating as we adjusted a few things together. Looking back, I think seeing some colors swatched directly on my skin earlier in the process could have helped, especially since as a non-expert, it felt like we were on different pages trying to communicate. However, that probably isn’t specific to Lovely Beauty and would’ve been the case with myself and any make up artist. In any case, Tai’s willingness to collaborate and make adjustments was appreciated. Additionally, the Lovely Beauty Team was responsive to my emails and easy to work with throughout the planning process, and I would absolutely recommend them to other brides.”

I do wish we discussed the need for a 3rd artist at the time of booking, but Ashley Gallo was able to connect with me right away and guide me through since I am not a wedding makeup expert! I did have a trial with Mia Peters, and I let her know I was looking for something a little more glam and on the day of and she absolutely hit the mark and beyond. I couldn’t have been more ecstatic and excited with how my makeup turned out. I would highly, highly recommend her for your bridal look. I felt so beautiful and wish the day didn’t have to end so I didn’t have to wash my makeup off! I got so many compliments too from guests and other vendors! I also worked with Mia since January to contour my brows. I had Misha pen eyebrows that were uneven and thin. Over a matter of months, Mia was able to help me grow them out and choose them to perfection with an eyebrow pop service every 5 weeks. It made a huge difference since my eyebrows were the frame of my wedding look! Similarly, Vanessa and Devyn Gregorio also did a fabulous job with my bridesmaids. Everyone looked amazing and their makeup complimented their features. If you’re considering AMG - book it! I can’t thank this group of women enough, including the receptionist! Thank you AMG!!!”
