“If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would! Our son and daughter-in-law couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue to begin their lives together. From our very first meeting with Lauren and James to the last dance of the evening, everything was simply perfect. Their attention to detail, kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made the entire day feel effortless. Every member of the staff went above and beyond, allowing our family to relax and truly enjoy every moment. Our guests are still talking about the wedding—especially the food! We've heard countless compliments, including, "That was the best steak I've ever had at a wedding!" The food and service were exceptional. Lauren and James don't just host weddings—they create unforgettable memories. We are so grateful for everything they did to make our family's day so magical. We will treasure those memories forever and wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to celebrate.”

We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, but even if you don't, the tented deck is also so gorgeous and airy that you'd have a stunning ceremony no matter what. All our local guests kept saying they couldn't believe we were still in the city- the Lake House feels like a little oasis in the park! The getting-ready areas upstairs in the original locker rooms are seriously show-stopping in photos. The best part is that working with this venue is EASY. When we first met with Althea, she wrote out every single charge on an itemized list so we knew exactly what the event would cost from the get-go, and the amount only changed with our headcount. We went with the in-house catering (which guests are still raving to me about), so that was handled, the bar was handled, the rentals were handled, and everything was low-stress from start to finish. I really valued the transparency. We couldn't have had a better day. If you're trying to have a larger NYC wedding on a budget- look no further!! (Photo credit: Em Cullum Photography)”

“Robert was a wonderful place to have a reception, with Kristi as a fantastic event manager and Richard as day-of coordinator. They were incredibly helpful and professional, and quick to answer all of our questions as the day came nearer and set up a tasting to help choose our menu. Also of course the space is beautiful, the decorations perfect, the views amazing, and the food absolutely delicious. We got many rave reviews from our guests of the food! They easily had an open bar, live piano, and cocktail hour with activities after dinner. They were very accommodating and helped us with table set up, activities, cake cutting, a screen for photos, and house music. Would strongly recommend it as a place to host any event as there were no hiccups at all. We are very glad we managed to snag it for our wedding!”

“We had the pleasure of hosting our intimate wedding for just over 50 guests at the Renaissance Event Hall in May 2024. The event space is beautiful— although the surrounding area is a bit rough, it’s a space that’s large enough to really bring your vision to life. Originally, our ceremony was supposed to be held on the outdoor patio but after a “rain plan” rehearsal we decided to have the ceremony indoors to make use of the beautiful grand staircase. Affordable space— for NYC? Absolutely. Food— great! Bar— great! Staff— amazing! Shout out to Larry for the amazing lighting. Both Larry and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure guests were served, comfortable, and having a great time. My only wish was that there was a separate groom suite that’s apart from the bridal suite. Here we had to use a foldable partition to separate the bride side from the groom side. Also, our rehearsal was double booked with another wedding party the day before our wedding which was a bit disappointing having to wait and navigate around their rehearsal to complete ours. However, this just seemed to be a simple miscommunication between Lisa and her assistant which I’m hoping won’t be the case with another bride/groom. Overall, it was the perfect space to host our wedding. Lisa was such a pleasure to work with and had such great insights on how to bring together the event in a manner that made the best use of the space. Thank you to the Renaissance Event Hall team!”
