Owner Shauna Hinchen-Joyal studied pastry arts at Johnson and Wales University and has worked in the baking industry for over 20 years, making specialty event and wedding cakes as well as her signature pastries. Shauna and her husband and partner Bob have been trained by an expert baristas at Atomic Coffee Roasters and are proud to serve drinks brewed with their beans. All our espresso drinks are made with our gorgeous Italian made La Marzocco machine.

At Cake Ann, we make cakes for special occasions or 'just because'. We love to make shower cakes, wedding cakes or special dessert menus customized for your event. We also offer breakfast pastries, quiches, daily flavors of cupcakes and specialty desserts like our highly sought after Kouign Amann (pronounced “Queen Amon”). Rachel is a classically trained pastry chef who studied at The Culinary Institute of America in both Napa Valley, California and Hyde Park, New York. She has worked all over the country in a myriad of hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and dessert bars before moving back to the Merrimack Valley in 2016 and starting The Baker's Rack in August 2018.
