“Fran, Evelise, and the rest of the team did an amazing job at our wedding! They were so helpful in creating a timeline for 12 girls and brought such positive energy the morning of. They took all of our visions and inspiration photos and brought them to life. Fran was great at answering any questions I had before the day, especially leading up. “Bekah was the best decision that I could have made for my wedding!!! She made my wedding day feel magical and supported me every step along the way. From the first message, I knew that I could rely on her to be there for me; she was always responsive to my messages and was more than fair with her pricing. Even during the trial, I felt like I could vocalize any concerns/questions easily. She is extremely skilled and color matches to all skin tones. All of my bridesmaids loved their makeup and loved their time with her as well. I'm crying writing this review because I do not know what I would have done without her. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. You need her on your team!!”

Hi! I’m Mikayla, the makeup artist behind Iris Beauty. I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 10 years, and in that time I’ve had the honor of being part of countless wedding mornings. My style focuses on enhancing your natural beauty by creating timeless, soft, and radiant looks that feel like you at your absolute best. My goal is to create a calm, enjoyable experience so you can relax, feel confident, and enjoy every moment of your special day. I can’t wait to be a part of your wedding!

“Mikayla and her team provided amazing hair and makeup services for myself and my bridal party for my wedding! I did a trial with them about 2 months before my wedding so I could see what looked best with my hair and complexion, and create the vision I had in mind for my bridal look. They were both so nice and heard what I had to say and worked with me to create the look I wanted. On the day of, they were super organized to get through each member of my bridal party in the time we had allotted. I didn’t have strict styles in mind for the other girls, so they were able to work with the variety of inspo. pictures my bridesmaids brought and made a beautiful and cohesive set of looks on each girl. They worked with various different hair and skin types easily and when my mother-in-law had a relatively-last minute request to use hair extensions, they were super flexible to be able to provide that service as well. Iris Beauty’s skilled and reliable team created beautiful looks for all of us on my wedding day, I highly recommend them to any future brides!”

“I can’t recommend Jena highly enough!! I first met her when she did my best friend’s makeup, and I knew right then that I wanted her to be part of my own wedding day. Her style is exactly what I was looking for; natural, soft, elevated, but most importantly, it felt like me. As someone who doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup, I wanted to feel confident and photo-ready without feeling overdone, and Jena struck that balance perfectly. From the trial to the wedding day, Jena was warm, calming, and genuinely interested in understanding what I wanted. She asked thoughtful questions, welcomed feedback, and made sure we had a clear, comfortable plan for the morning of the wedding. She even traveled from the Hudson Valley into NYC to be with us that day, something I was so grateful for. The morning of my wedding, she felt like another friend in the room; easy to talk to, grounding, and full of positive energy. She did makeup for me, my mom, my mother-in-law, my sister, and sister-in-law, and everyone looked and felt beautiful!! Our makeup lasted from 7am through the very last dance, and I never once felt like I needed a touch-up. If you're considering Jena, truly don’t hesitate! My makeup wasn’t quite what I was looking for on my first trial and Demi really listened to the feedback I gave and blew me away on the second try. They listened to my concerns about sensitive skin and really made me feel comfortable the whole time. I don’t typically wear makeup either, and originally came in with no real idea of how I wanted to look, so I know I wasn’t the easiest customer either. They were fabulous with my family and friends too, catering to several different styles. Thank you both for helping me feel beautiful on a very special day!”

Jhori Jurgenson is a certified makeup artist with over six years in the makeup industry. Immediately following her first month of makeup certification at the Austin School of Spa Technology in 2016, she was hired to work on the Lifetime movie ‘Derailed.’ Following her break into the film circuit, she has worked on several productions and commercial shoots, including ‘The Pretenders’ directed by James Franco, and continues to work on film productions that are filmed in the Hudson Valley.

“Let’s start with booking. I had sent out several requests to make up artist in the area and Jhori was by far the easiest to book with and got back to me in a timely manner. To someone like me that speaks volumes. Moving onto my bridal trial, I scheduled it for the day of my bridal shower- a little nervous because I don’t wear professional make up, but all the while seeing Jhori‘s work on Instagram. I came to her spot with a inspo photo and she knocked it out of the park. Not that I had any hesitation with Jhori, but this just really confirmed that I made the right choice! The day of my wedding some of my bridesmaids have had previous experience with make up artist and did not love how they looked so they were a little worried. I can honestly say all seven of my bridesmaids loved how they looked on my wedding day, which was so important to me that they felt comfortable and happy with the makeup they had on and the dress they were wearing. One of my bridesmaids even later that day sent Jhori a message inquiring for her own wedding next year! Jhori is not only professional, but she is easy to talk to and makes for a fun experience while getting ready on your wedding day. I can honestly say I would recommend her to anybody looking to have make up done on their wedding day or for any special occasion. I cannot thank her enough!”
