“Jackie was the absolute best florist to work with! She was responsive, communicative, creative, and meticulous. When I first started searching, I really struggled to find a florist who was within a reasonable budget for our floral requirements. Blooms by JG was able to give us a bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 pocket boutonnière for my husband, 10 regular boutonnières for the groomsmen/fathers, two substantially large and absolutely gorgeous floral pieces for our arch/arbor, and approximately 90ish single white roses for our centerpieces all within our floral budget! In addition, I wanted to DIY some things and she was willing to work with me on those too. Despite me changing my mind from an array of colorful florals to all white blooms, adding and deleting things, and asking tons of questions, Jackie made sure that our florals were absolutely perfect the day of our wedding. “When researching bouquets for my wedding I knew I didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on real flowers just for them to die and I be left with no memories. I considered silk flowers but then stumbled across wood flowers and I was immediately sold on the idea. At the time there weren’t many ppl local to me who made wooden bouquets but I reached out to a few and ended up going with Katie at Heart & Sola Creations because she was so easy to talk to and walked me through the whole process. She didn’t have one of the colors I needed but asked me to send a fabric sample and she created a dye color that matched my bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly!! Everything came out perfect and looked so good in pictures. 6 years later and I still have my bouquet on display on a shelf and my husband’s boutonnière in a shadow box with our invite, vows and unity rope braid. “We had the absolute best experience working with Florescent and Sam for our wedding! I truly cannot say enough great things about them! I came to Sam with the idea of doing a colorful meadow for our altar but the issue was that the inspo pictures I had for this were from a VERY pricy Lake Como wedding. But Sam came to the rescue and figured out a way to make my floral dreams come true on my much more limited budget! She worked hard to come up with ways that the flowers could be repurposed and used in different ways throughout the venue following our ceremony. She took all of my notes about the colors of flowers I was interested in and completely exceeded my expectations without much more direction from me! She came up with the most beautiful combinations of flowers in the arrangements and bouquets she created and totally blew us all away! When I first walked into our wedding venue I was completely amazed by what Sam and her team did and how their amazing work transformed the space and brought my dreams to life. FWith over 12 years of experience in floral design in New York City, Florescent’s founder Samantha Smerconish brings her background in visual arts / production to her work - blending structure, movement, and natural beauty. She was drawn to floristry as a way to create with living materials while immersed in an urban landscape. Her journey with flowers began as a mobile bicycle cart, selling arrangements in parks and at pop-ups throughout the city. What started as a small, moving studio grew into a permanent workspace, and now into a retail floral space rooted in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
