We also asked for specific moments of the songs to be played, down to a few seconds and John delivered every single time. Finally, we also asked for a wide range of genres throughout the reception- from oldies, to modern day pop, to old school country. Once again, John killed it and we had guests coming up to us all night saying how amazing he was. I don’t think there was ever a single moment where folks weren’t up and dancing! He was such a pleasure to meet with ahead of time and asked us tons of questions to really understand our vision for the evening. He was truly a delight and even wore black, per my very annoying request :) He also had me get on the DJ board (just pretending) and it was a huge hit! Very fun, very adaptable! Summit Events Co. uses an app for all of your music and timeline needs and it was SUPER easy to use. It connects to Spotify, Youtube, and a few other platforms so I could just upload my playlists I had already worked on and it made everything really fast. We also got a photobooth which was AMAZING. It's hard to know when planning a wedding what is worth the extra cost but this hands down was worth it. Our attendant was such an angel and multiple people came up to me after to tell me how cool she was! Their pricing is super reasonable - very in line with other vendors I found and Ben was able to accommodate our specific budget while still making our vision come to life. “We had an absolutely amazing experience with David Floyd, “DJ Squirrel,” from Horizon Harbor Events for our wedding! From the moment we started working with David, he was professional, friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding reception everything we hoped it would be. David did an incredible job keeping the energy and excitement going throughout the entire celebration. The music selection was fantastic, and he did a wonderful job reading the crowd and knowing exactly what to play to keep everyone entertained and on the dance floor. From our special songs and meaningful moments to the high-energy dancing later in the evening, everything flowed perfectly. One of the things we appreciated most was how easy David was to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but having a DJ who was organized, dependable, and attentive to our requests gave us one less thing to worry about. He listened to what we wanted, incorporated our preferences, and brought his own experience and personality to make the reception feel fun and memorable. I wanted to surprise my mother with a dance and little script to ask her on the dance floor. I asked DJ Squirrel to read the script for me as I knew I wouldn’t make it through. He was very willing to do what I asked but offered a more personal touch!! He gave me the option to record myself saying the script and he blended it into the beginning music of the song! My mom lost it!! What a personal touch and such a thoughtful suggestion! The sound quality and overall presentation were excellent, and David worked seamlessly with the other vendors to help everything stay on schedule. He helped create the perfect atmosphere for every part of the reception, from the special moments to the celebration with family and friends. Our guests had such a great time and had so many positive things to say about the music and entertainment. The dance floor was full, the energy was incredible, and we made so many wonderful memories that we will cherish for years to come. Not only did we use his DJ services, we used his uplighting which made our whole reception space a party vibe, Photo Booth that was personalized with our names and even wedding flowers on the photo strip, and audio guest book to cherish for so many years to come! On the wedding day, the DJ was amazing and really watched the crowd to make sure everyone was having a great time. While we were having the reception and when I the bride walked off the dance floor, the music would change and every time I came back he would change the music back so we could all keep dancing. I plan on having JcZounds DJ my 30th birthday as well and I can't wait to see what we can do then as well. Overall, they were a huge part of making our wedding day perfect.”

Very early on Nate contacted my daughter and her fiancée discussing the wedding ceremony, reception and music choice. Nate kept me informed with the bride/groom DJ page and was very personable. Great music, and the ceremony was timed perfectly and orchestrated seamlessly. Very professional, accommodating and any questions we received a direct response. Everything was also coordinated with other vendors, and Nate's experience was spot on. As mother of the bride, I had no worries or concerns and just had to show up for the event. “Scott ( my husband on the golf course …myself at a local establishment where he was a waiter) we got the sense there was something special about Scott. During our conversations he shared that he sang at local establishments. Our first musical encounter was at winery during the Christmas season. We were hooked immediately !! and compelled to share Scott’s talents and story with our friends and family. Scott’s presence in the room creates an environment that is calm yet festive. When Scott is singing you willingly become his captive audience. Scott’s intentional serenade feels personal though in reality the whole audience has been engaged. The breadth of Scott’s talent has yet to be revealed. Sure he is refined in opera and one of the best crooners and we have seen him perform solo and with a band. Every venue every performance has been enjoyable and memorable. It is so exciting to see Scott continue to spread his musical wings to share his gift with more people. Scott is genuinely kind, humble and attentive to his audience. The combination of his personal warmth and incredible talent is difficult to convey in words. We are fortunate to be one of the many to ride along on his band wagon.”
