I booked Tina and Alisha for my May 2025 wedding, and I cannot recommend them enough!! From the moment I had a phone call with Tina, I knew she was the makeup artist for me. She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and calming! Which I feel is so important for a typically busy time. After I had my trial, I was even more convinced, we had so much fun! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and the makeup stayed the entire day! I look back at photos and all through the night, full of dancing, my makeup was perfect!! She was very enthusiastic throughout the process and really seemed to be enjoying our nuptials as much as the other guests were. We had to plan the wedding reception on short notice after Hurricane Helene resulted in closure of our original venue. There were so many moving parts for reorganizing our event but she guided us along the way and relieved any stress from the entertainment component. She followed through and delivered on everything that we discussed and was very professional throughout. We would highly we recommend her for your wedding reception or event!

Henderson Acres is truly beyond anything we could’ve hoped for with our wedding venue. First their actual outdoor space and house is so beautiful it is straight out of a magazine- picture perfect. The decor and stone within the house is such an elevated look we were in awe of. They are constantly adding things to the space and not to add things you need to pay for but to offer plenty of things for you to enjoy to use during your day. For instance there was several items of decor we used from them that we decided day of to use and the flexibility of that is incredible. They have a reasonably priced furniture package that their venue staff helps set up on wedding day and they have a retractable tent in case of inclement weather. Next the staff is absolutely incredible. Seriously beyond kind, helpful, responsive, and authentically caring. Planning the wedding was a dream with them, and the staff the day of was beyond kind and helpful ensuring the day ran smoothly. An example, we had one guest who was in a wheelchair and had to have an uber come to the venue for pick up/drop off - the staff without being asked drove to the bottom of the driveway waited for the uber and personally escorted them to the top. That kind of hospitality was noticed by our guests who raved about their kindness. I could write about so many more amazing things this venue has to offer. We received countless (truly countless) compliments on this venue and the venue staff - from the beauty of the space to the kindness and authentic care everyone felt. Our photographer captured the day perfectly with such beauty and somehow you’re still amazed seeing the space in person. I think there is something special about a family owned business and this venue is a prime example of it! Without a doubt the best decision we made in our wedding planning was booking Henderson Acres after so much searching - couldn’t recommend more!!!!

With over 40 five-star Google Reviews, and more than a decade of photography experience documenting adventurous couples and outdoor athletes, I’m stoked and ready to find creative ways to tell the story of your epic day.

Awarded Best of Zola
Trust me when I say, Andy is without a doubt the guy you want photographing your wedding. From the moment I saw the first of his portfolio, I knew he was the perfect fit. He showed how valuable and professional he is from the very beginning. I forgot to confirm our initial meeting, but Andy made it work anyway, a sign of adaptability that we greatly appreciated. He is easy to talk to, makes you feel comfortable, and is very helpful in explaining options and posing. I am extremely picky about photos, so I looked at many portfolios before choosing to interview anyone, and Andy has the best eye I’ve seen by far. His photos are timeless, artsy, and just downright beautiful. You will get an amazing variation of photos: movement, perfect lighting, details, posing (with his help, thankfully!) and THE BEST candid photos. We had never been to a wedding like ours, but Andy gave great advice and really helped us visualize and plan our day. We got married shortly after Hurricane Helene so we couldn’t get to our original adventure session hike, but Andy had a whole album of back up hikes for us to choose from, all of which were just as stunning as our first choice. We had the best time spending our day with Andy, we truly could not be happier with our photos. We’re only a year out from our wedding and I’m already scheming for an anniversary shoot! Choose Andy, I promise you’ll never regret it!

Nick was a pleasure to work with for our engagement photos! My partner and I had never had professional photos done before but Nick made it easy and seamless. He made sure the photos turned out natural and captured what we were looking for. Can't recommend him enough. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Diana and Robby, Owners of A Bride’s DJ, feel especially qualified because they both like to celebrate more than the average human. Robby is willing to wear a costume for any reason. Our DJs extensive experience & training ensures a smooth planning experience for clients, excelling in communication, are ego-free (so you get what YOU want), detail-oriented, and most importantly…they actually mix the music.

A Bride's DJ was fantastic with communication and even integrated an easy to use app for coordinating music and time! Chris and the team really put forth so much work, and our wedding coordinator even raved about how much they loved working with them. The music was so great - not only did we hear compliments all night long, but we even spotted the bartenders dancing the night away. Thank you so much Chris!

By the luck of the draw, Nathan was available for our very quickly planned wedding--we snagged the last date he had in June 2024. I was ecstatic because I had always admired his work. My now husband and I had a blast working with him, we never thought taking photos/videos would be one of the highlights of our big day but it really was. The whole family loved working with Nathan, too. He was laid back but nothing short of a true professional--he was somehow everywhere, capturing everything yet never in the way. He went with the flow with funny family eccentricities that popped up and made everyone feel comfortable. Our photos and video got back to us in shockingly record time and we can't choose favorites because we love them all. Multiple people we've shared photos have said, "that looks straight out of Vogue or a magazine." If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Nathan in any capacity, whether it be a wedding or other shoot, do not pass this amazing artist up.

Choosing the right photographer is a big deal—truly one of the decisions that can make or break your entire experience. We met Nathan at the very beginning of our journey, during our engagement shoot at the Biltmore Estate. We were both nervous, awkward, and completely unsure of what to expect. Then Nathan arrived, and everything changed. Within minutes he had us laughing, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying ourselves. That was the moment we knew he wasn’t just talented—he was special. So when it came time to choose someone to capture our wedding in Sedona, we took a chance and asked if he would fly out. Honestly, we thought it was a long shot… but he immediately said yes. And thank goodness he did. I will never forget the moment he walked into the room on my wedding day. I had just started feeling that wave of nerves while finishing my hair, and the instant Nathan stepped in, I felt completely at ease. How does he do that? He has this quiet magic about him—an ability to ground you, hype you up, and disappear into the background all at once. His passion is infectious. His eye for intimate, meaningful moments is unreal. And somehow, while capturing every single one of those moments, he manages to remain practically invisible. When we received our gallery, we both laughed, cried, and sat there in awe. It felt like reliving the day, but through the lens of someone who truly understood us. To put it simply: Nathan is gifted. Exceptionally, unmistakably gifted. We even showed our engagement photos to another top-tier photographer, and her reaction was: “Book him immediately. His editing is some of the most incredible work I’ve seen—I want to talk to him myself!” If you're reading reviews trying to decide who to trust with your memories, stop here. You’ve found the one. Nathan exceeded every expectation we had—and then ten more we didn’t even know we should have. He is the best of the best.

Irvin Music Studio
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Solo performer
  • Starts at $450
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

This small company serves as a hub for Sam and Kylie Irvin's musical projects based in Asheville, NC. They are passionate performers, educators, and advocates for the arts with years of training and experience in the field. With a broad range of interests, this couple and their colleagues can offer an extensive variety of instruments like solo classical guitar, guitar/violin duet and Kylie B. & the Birds, a jazz ensemble.

My wife and I asked Sam to play at our outdoor wedding in August of 2021 and our expectations were far exceeded but both his professionalism and his musicianship. We planned our own wedding and we were interested in vendors that worked well with us, the venue, and our guests. When we spoke with Sam, he was prompt with his communication and very flexible with the services he was able to offer. This continued through the entire planning process, which proved very comforting when planning a wedding from three states away. On our wedding day, he was able to adapt his performance to the venue and the weather. He was more than happy to coordinate with our DJ and the transition was seamless. This included moving his equipment after the ceremony to continue playing for cocktail hour and hustling up the big hill to cover when it started raining. When he resumed playing and the rain had cleared, he played “Here comes the Sun”, adding another memory to our already unforgettable day. Both my wife and myself come from families filled with life-long musicians. Her and I both studied music in college and continue to enjoy music in our lives. It was refreshing to work with a wedding vendor that could “speak” our language and provide a very individualized performance. Perhaps the most thoughtful thing that Sam did was arrange a song for us and give us a framed copy of the arrangement as a gift. This act exemplifies his eagerness to make every event amazing. If you are looking for a professional artist that will make your event exactly what you want, we strongly recommend using Sam and Irvin Music Studio!

Homewood

Asheville, NC
  • Venue
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,500

Homewood, a special event venue in Asheville, NC, is an ideal destination for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, and gatherings. Homewood is a beautifully restored 1920s stone manor located in Asheville's post-Victorian historic district of Montford. The elegant castle was originally built as a private home. The elegance of the 1920s luminesces from original wrought iron chandeliers and alabaster sconces, casting graceful lighting from the 20-foot ceilings of the Great Room to the original hardwood floors, cherry walls, and grand Appalachian stone fireplaces. Conveniently located within a mile of downtown Asheville, Homewood offers 200 free, designated parking spaces, and is located in a neighborhood setting. The Great Room seats 110 people for dinner, or up to 150 with cocktail seating, with space for dance floor and DJ or band. Homewood is fully handicap-accessible. The beautiful and lush surrounding grounds provide additional outdoor space, including our garden ceremony site.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Handles all cleanup logistics
  • Bridal suite on site
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
From the moment we started planning, Homewood's team was responsive and easy to work with, which made the whole booking process feel smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—it worked perfectly for both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, and the romantic, timeless atmosphere was exactly what we'd been picturing. What really set them apart was their curated list of vendors; they had some required and some recommended, but every single one we worked with was fantastic and clearly vetted by the team. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the space was, and we felt like our day was elevated just by being there. Homewood took care of all the details so we could focus on enjoying our wedding. We'd recommend them in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a venue that's both gorgeous and backed by a team that truly cares.

I don’t even know where to start… from the time leading up to the wedding, to the day of, Moriah was absolutely wonderful to work with! She truly made my wedding day everything I’ve ever dreamed of. On the day of, I can’t even describe the feeling of seeing all of your planning come to life, and I know Moriah and her assistant, Kenzie, were behind it all. Not only did Moriah handle all the bigs things with ease (band, food, seating, contracts, cake, etc)… but she also made every little detail, every single DIY, and special request, EXACTLY how I wanted them. When there were hiccups with other vendors (a sick content creator, or a limo driver who fell asleep and forgot to pick us up) Moriah and Kenzie swooped in and saved the day without missing a beat. About a month or 2 out from the wedding, I felt so chaotic trying to put all the pieces together, but Moriah really came in, gave us a plan, and executed perfectly. She was there to answer the big questions and small questions leading up to the wedding. It was SO easy to get in contact with/text her (an underrated part of wedding planning, and something not all planners prioritize). It’s a day that every girl dreams of and it’s so important to have the right people there to make it happen. With Moriah I didn’t feel like I needed to compromise on any of my dreams, she just helped make it happen and made it look so easy (even though I know it was not). You can tell she is truly passionate about making your wedding day a perfect one. I couldn’t recommend her enough!! PS. I got so many compliments from other vendors on Moriah!? So they must have loved her too! Peep Moriah in the pics w a bubble machine bc my husband left the bubbles for the guests at home on accident lol

We hired DJ Ryan for our wedding in early May 2026 at Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our entire day. My wife and I both have extensive musical backgrounds, so finding a DJ who could truly collaborate with us on the music was incredibly important. Ryan didn't just meet that bar; he blew right past it. From our very first phone call through the last song, Ryan was exceptional. He handled our pre-processional music, processional, ceremony audio, cocktail hour, reception, and post-reception dance party with the same level of care throughout. We didn't have an official wedding planner, so Ryan went above and beyond by reviewing our day-of plans, serving as a sounding board, identifying potential timeline issues, and helping coordinate with our other vendors. He took an enormous amount off our plates. Working with Ryan felt less like hiring a vendor and more like collaborating with a creative partner. We discussed the exact atmosphere we wanted and gave him playlists, must-plays, like-to-plays, and absolute do-not-plays. He nailed all of it. One of our favorite moments happened when my wife and I stepped away for sunset photos. Many family members hadn't seen each other in a long time and were catching up. Rather than fight that energy with upbeat music, Ryan recognized what was happening and shifted into softer songs from artists he knew we loved. When we returned, he read the room again and brought everyone right back onto the dance floor. Later, he played “Love Train” and got everyone into a Conga line. Kids, parents, grandparents, and everyone in between joined in. It was one of the highlights of the night. Ryan also handled our outdoor ceremony flawlessly. We were right on the water with a steady breeze and occasional strong gusts, yet there was no noticeable wind noise or feedback. He made sure both our officiant and I were properly miked and adjusted the processional levels perfectly. As our MC, Ryan introduced the wedding party, announced toasts, and cued our dances and bouquet toss without a hitch. We have a big, loud, rambunctious family, and he kept everything moving without ever making the night feel rushed. He even handled a venue snafu during the cake cutting. When he realized the venue hadn't put out plates or utensils and our cake-cutting song wouldn't last through the delay, he calmly explained the situation and offered solutions to bridge the gap. What could have been an awkward moment became a total non-issue. And then there was the dance party. I can say with complete confidence that Ryan is the best wedding DJ I have ever experienced. His song selection and ability to read the room were perfect all night. At most weddings, someone has a complaint about the DJ. At ours, everyone—from kids to grandparents—agreed Ryan was phenomenal. Ryan and Remix Weddings were also completely upfront about pricing. While other vendors surprised us with additional costs, Ryan and his team were clear and honest from the beginning. Given the talent, professionalism, and care he brought, he was extremely reasonably priced. A wedding is a massive investment, and choosing Ryan means you get to actually enjoy your day instead of worrying about it. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and will recommend him to every engaged friend we have in the Asheville area. We cannot recommend him enough. Thank you, Ryan, for helping make our day so incredible. We are forever grateful.

SJC Productions & Media was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. Stacie was very prompt in communicating and also laying out a schedule for us so we could get the perfect lighting for our pictures. We love the pictures we've gotten back so far! They are beautiful, and we can't wait to see the rest. We would definitely book her again for any photography in the future. Our wedding was very relaxed and intimate, and Stacie helped greatly by providing a timeline that would work best for flow and lighting as the wedding was outside. She was very personable and we enjoyed having her present.

Laurel Falls was the wedding venue of our dreams. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in the best hands—Kristen is truly a dream to work with. She brings an energy that every couple deserves on their wedding journey: enthusiastic, flexible, incredibly kind, and the ultimate hype woman. Her support made the entire experience feel effortless and joyful. The venue itself is breathtaking. Nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Laurel Falls offers a natural backdrop that complements any style or vision. Its historic charm is intentionally preserved and beautifully maintained, creating a setting that feels both intimate and timeless. One of the things we loved most was how the property allowed us to shape our day in a way that felt deeply personal. Just to name a few highlights... - The lodge porch became the perfect gathering place for our immediate family during the rehearsal. - The barn transformed into the most fun and lively after‑party spot. - The lawn offered a peaceful escape with a quiet bonfire and s’mores for guests who wanted to unwind under the stars. We are over the moon with our photos and videos from Amy and John. The quality is incredible, and the quantity is unbelievable. They delivered an incredible amount of photos so quickly, and our friends and family have commented several times that it looks like our wedding was featured in a magazine spread because the quality is so impressive. We’ve been looking through them nonstop, and every time we see some new gem. They captured so many big and small moments throughout the weekend. It is incredible that they were able to capture so much without us or our guests feeling like there were cameras everywhere. They blended seamlessly, and it truly felt like we were just hanging out with them all day. They were so kind and lovely to work with and directed us beautifully, while allowing us to be ourselves and capturing genuine and authentic moments. They both brought such a calm presence. We can’t believe they captured so much content and so many angles when we don’t even remember them doing that - we mostly remember them being by our sides and talking and laughing with us. So many of our guests have said similar things. They truly impressed everyone and have given us so many incredible photos and videos to remember the weekend. Hiring them was such a great decision. We would 100% do it again and recommend them wholeheartedly.

To any couple considering Michael: book him, trust him, and let him do what he does best. He captured our day with so much beauty, intention, and care. We left our wedding experience not saying goodbye to Michael, but “see you later,” because we genuinely hope to use him for all of our family photo sessions in the future. We found Michael Freas by Googling Pretty Place Chapel photographers, and we were immediately blown away by his talent, his style, and the breathtaking photos he had captured for other couples. From the very first inquiry, Michael was incredible. He responded the same day, shared full galleries from other Pretty Place Chapel couples, and spent the entire day communicating with me to help us choose a date that worked well for both him and us. We basically let Michael pick our wedding date, and little did we know that would be the first of many decisions we would happily trust him with. Looking back, giving Michael full creative control was one of the best choices we made. The day of our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, and so much of that is because of Michael. From well before dawn to well after dusk, he took on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with us and turned it into something we will never forget. He was on time, prepared, thoughtful, calm, and somehow delivered in ways that completely surpassed every expectation we had. Just a wedding photographer? No way. Michael planned, guided, encouraged, organized, and executed our entire day in the most seamless and meaningful way. Even though we eloped, Michael made us feel like we had everyone we needed right there with us. He brought such a steady, joyful presence, and by the end of the experience, he felt much more like a friend than just our photographer. And the photos… WOW. They are breathtaking, awe-capturing, emotional, and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. Michael stunned us with a huge sneak peek and then delivered our full gallery in under one month. Everyone who has seen the photos has had the same reaction: stunning, beautiful, amazing, breathtaking. People keep telling us how happy and beautiful we look, and how incredible the landscapes are. We feel so blessed to have had Michael as our photographer and so much more.
