Drumore Mill is a different world. It is nestled in a corner of the most rustic township in Amish Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1752 as a sawmill and a grist mill. It sits in a hollow with 30 acres of tall cliffs and old trees to provide privacy, warmth, and natural beauties. There is a pristine creek that meanders through the property. The Fishing Creek supports native trout and other rare small fishes. The waterfall is adjacent to the buildings. There is a hiking trail within the property. There is wetland and much more. The combination of rustic setting, natural beauties, and historical features makes Drumore Mill amazingly beautiful. One has to see it to believe it.

“Drumore Mill was an absolutely stunning venue to use for our special day (really weekend). We loved the ease of booking the venue, touring with Thuy, and the promptness and flexibility they offer. An added bonus is the available on site lodging for rental, which we made great use of for our close friends, family, and wedding party to stay in the night before and night of the wedding. We enjoyed the Great Room in the Grist Mill for our rehearsal dinner. Our guests loved how spacious Drumore Mill was, and we appreciated all the attention to detail such as included (but still optional) decor and greenery, and the setup of chairs and other items for the ceremony space. Being able to bring in all of our own vendors at no additional cost was fantastic. The value for renting the property from Thursday to Saturday morning was unmatched and completely worth it. We would recommend Drumore Mill to anyone, and we look forward to booking the property in the future for non-wedding related stays with friends and family.”

“From our first conversation with The Barn on Bridge, we knew we'd found the right venue. Their team answered every question we had and responded quickly to our emails, which made the planning process stress-free. On our wedding day, everything ran like clockwork thanks to their attentive staff, especially Bri, who went out of her way to take care of us and our guests. The space itself is gorgeous, and the food was seriously incredible—so much so that several guests told us it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had. “We are so grateful to the entire team at Melhorn Manor for making our wedding day happen!! It's hard to even know where to begin - from start to finish, every detail of the day was magical thanks to the team's hard work and expertise. When my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we toured plenty of venues, but we knew right away that Melhorn Manor was different in the best way. We were used to being rushed through other venue tours, dismissed because our wedding wasn't big enough, and generally being made to feel more like dollar signs than excited newlyweds-to-be. But our experience at Melhorn Manor couldn't have been further from this - we met Allory for the tour, and before we took a step through the property, he took the time to introduce himself and the Melhorn family and to share the lovely story of how Melhorn Manor came about. We didn't feel rushed or pressured like we had at other venues, and Allory really took the time to understand our vision for our big day and help us imagine it around the property. We left that day glowing and feeling sure that "this is the one!" And how right we were!! We really can't say enough positive things about our wedding day. Getting ready in the amazing bridal suite and Groom's room was such a fun and special way to kick off the day. As the ceremony approached, it was so clear that the team was all working so hard to make sure all the decor was set up, every detail was thought through, and every moment went off without a hitch. What a special and humbling feeling it is to have so many people invested in making your special day as magical and memorable as you've always hoped it would be - it's impossible to express the depth of our gratitude. Our wedding day was quite a rainy one, but the Melhorn team had a plan for everything. Melhorn Manor had the most robust rain plan of any venue we toured: some venues' plans had felt more like an afterthought, while Melhorn offers an entirely separate building that can be used for the ceremony in inclement weather. It was such a huge relief to feel like we didn't have to worry about adjusting every detail on the fly, and to go into our rainy wedding day knowing that, regardless of the weather, it would be just as beautiful and special as we always imagined. We had and continue to have SO many of our guests, both on the wedding night and afterwards, tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. So many glowing comments about the beautiful venue, the fun had on the dance floor, the amazing and kind staff, and all of the countless details that go into making the day memorable. We couldn't agree more that Melhorn Manor was the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we have the incredible team to thank for all the hard work, attention to detail, and love that went into making this the wedding of our dreams. We, and our families and loved ones, will truly cherish the memory of this day for a lifetime. We are so grateful to have had the absolute joy of working with Allory, Jess, and the entire Melhorn Manor team. They were enthusiastic, thoughtful, kind, and so organized at every step of the way. We can't imagine what our special day would have looked like anywhere other than Melhorn Manor - what an amazing place that will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We simply can't thank the entire staff enough!!”

We held both events in the upstairs banquet room, which worked great with our numbers (about 40 rehearsal dinner guests and an additional 50 welcome party attendees), as everyone had enough room to walk around and mingle. Matt and team were very easy to work with throughout the whole process from booking the space, choosing the menu, accommodating for food allergies and night-of service. The food, of course, was delicious! And the staff was so attentive and took care of us the whole night. All our guests had a great time. Highly recommend booking your next event at the Plum!”

“The Farm is the perfect venue for an elevated rustic event. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the various spaces allow for a customizable experience with all-weather options. We were struck by the easy transitions through the different spaces of the property. Upon arriving you’re immediately met by views of a lush, colorful garden. The manicured greens and walkway lead to the smaller of the two indoor spaces which is full of natural light, which we used for our welcome space. Upstairs the bridal suite provided the perfect functionality and coziness for my bridal party to spend the morning getting ready together. When it was time for the ceremony, guests were led to the outdoor ceremony space which was manicured by the staff the day of the wedding and overlooks the property’s verdant farmland. The newly renovated bar area has plenty of seating and shade. Though it overlooks the ceremony space, it feels separate and marked the transition to cocktail hour. Our reception was in the main barn upstairs, and we loved the rustic feel that was elegantly decorated by our florist (Mary Meixner of Distinctive Florals by Mary) and the Farm staff. Our guests enjoyed the large deck to which the barn opened. The property is beautiful on its own, and it doesn’t take much to make it feel like a wedding. Beyond the beautiful backdrop of this venue is the reason we chose the Farm: its people. From the moment we met Sam two years ago (we love Sam!!) for our tour to coming back the Monday after our wedding to pick up some supplies, every individual we or guests interacted with from start to finish was warm, helpful, professional, and so client-focused. Alexa was our day-of coordinator, and she is a complete joy to work with. I don't think we anticipated how crucial she would be throughout the wedding day. Leading up to our wedding, she made sure every detail was addressed, but on our actual wedding she was our wonderful Farm Fairy gently guiding us through the day to make sure all our desired moments were had and enjoyed and that our experience ran smoothly. It wasn't just about the logistics, it was about our experience and our guests' experience and she was there to understand what was important to us and to deliver (which she did!)! We didn't even make it to the bar because whenever we didn't have a drink in our hand, Alexa was there with our signature cocktails! The staff is knowledgable and organized. You can tell there is exceptional top-down leadership when the owner reaches out to you for feedback. During our dessert tasting we weren't in love with the options provided to us on that particular day. Becca reached out to schedule a call to get our feedback, then provided a second dessert tasting for us. We ended up truly loving our cake (red velvet) and are looking forward to enjoying our anniversary cake next year!! The Farm's cake artist decorated it to match our motifs from our wedding invitations and it was beautiful. The assorted desserts were all a hit and we were so happy with results -- we received a lot of unsolicited positive feedback on the dessert table from our guests. You can tell that the Farm looks at feedback as an opportunity to improve, and that is so refreshing in the service industry.

If we had a do-over, we’d choose the Farm again - 10/10. Thank you to everyone at the Farm for creating literally the best day ever! Photo cred: @lydiajoyphotography https://www.lydiajoyphotography.com/”

Mixed with its walkability to the rest of Doylestown, it became a no-brainer. The day-of was even better. The food was excellent, the venue was beautiful, and it even worked comfortably for our wedding count of 85. The only thing that could have been improved was having more airflow for the hot day that it was. Thank you, Michener Museum (& Kelly), for the most magical evening of our lives.
