“As I finally begin to write this review, my mind does not know where to start. Sena and Shelly have made it hard to find such meaningful and beautiful words to describe just how wonderful they are. Having phenomenal, near & dear photos of my wedding day was extremely important to me and as I spent hours meticulously researching and thumbing through every vendor– photographers ranked at the top of that list. As a bride, Sena was my main point of contact throughout the whole process and I could not thank her enough for being my hype man and being SO understanding. Furthermore, I truly feel that the attitude of your vendors can change everything when planning your own wedding, and Sena was such a delight to chat with. From over 300 days out to the big day, she came with such a calm yet electric energy that was contagious! She would've been my bridesmaid if she wasn't holding the camera and I mean that from the bottom of my heart! Again, knowing that your vendors want to be there for you and not make a quick buck is so relieving. They understood my budget and worked hard to make it happen without underselling themselves, or giving me less than what I wanted. Seeing them both be so excited to capture such a day meant the world to me. seeing the sneak peak after, not only can I obviously see the love poured out between my husband and I, but I can see their love poured out unto their craft. Each photo has so much love and energy behind it. To brag some more about how phenomenal these people are, Sena and Shelly even went out of their way to pick up my bridal flowers and make the bouquet for me! They adjusted my veil at my ceremony, helped me put my heels on, offered to get me my food at the reception, even asked the bartenders for dish soap when my dress got pollen on it, and proceeded to scrub it off my dress! I'm sure I'm missing some things, too! Okay, okay, if you’ve read this far, I think you're thinking what I’m thinking and that’s: HIRE THEM! Honestly, (although I don’t think I have to) I beg of you, hire them. These are great and amazing people and I cannot wait to see where else their photography takes them. Sena and Shelly create photographs for generations to come, timeless, elegant, warm and thoughtful. “I am going to try and get off my soapbox for this review but I make no promises. Hiring Jessie Harris and Wildcrest Studios for my wedding was the single best decision I have ever made, except for marrying my husband. We had a small wedding, with a small budget, a very specific vision, no planner or coordinator, and no freaking clue what we were doing. From my first phone call with Jessie I knew that she was something special. She is experienced, organized, diligent, detail oriented, creative, kind, patient, and funny as heck. She truly listens to what you are hoping for and - somehow, despite all odds - she makes it happen. She LITERALLY threw off her shoes and climbed into Lake Michigan to get a shot of my husband and I on a dock at sunset. She kicked the groomsmen out of the area during our first touch because it was ruining the moment and I was too emotional and nervous to say anything. She drove across the state to shoot a pre-wedding reception for us. Alex, the second shooter, tied my husband’s bow tie for him before he walked down the aisle… and my brother’s… and my dad’s… and I’m pretty sure half the groomsmen’s bow ties too. She helped us create the timeline for our wedding day. She even gave us advice on what to pick for our first dance. And, to top it all off, she has provided us with the most unbelievable and stunning engagement, reception, and wedding day photos I could have imagined. Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how I feel when thinking about finding Jessie and Wildcrest Studios. Do yourself a favor and at least send an inquiry. Or don’t, and I’ll keep her all to myself :)”

“I'm absolutely in love with Jaymi and her photography service! Lengthy positive review ahead: Initially, I was drawn to her cinematic style of photography; often intentionally capturing otherwise candid moments lost to time and preserving them forever. I work in entertainment, with a degree in fine arts, so finding someone with a keen eye for color, composition, and bespoke style was important to me and my husband. Jaymi's photography style is very unique in the world of wedding photography. Like I mentioned, her style leans more like stills from movies, rather than structure portraits. Of course, we received many traditional photos (with a touch of Jaymi's style), but I absolutely adore the photos that feel more candid. Aside from taking lovely photos of us and our friends/family, Jaymi does a great job at taking photos of the wedding itself. With how much prep goes into florals, cakes, venues, and decor, having photos that capture the vibe from the day are really important. Her photos truly showcase the feeling of the day, taking advantage of the weather, air, nature, and placement of everything. Additionally, the editing she applies to the photos feels nostalgic, and creates a timeless look! Jaymi's process throughout our entire booking/prep/and big day was professional, attentive, loving, and thoughtful. I dearly appreciated that she wanted to get to know us as a couple, and incorporated that into her work. She checked in with us often before the wedding, making sure we were prepared and feeling good about everything. Most notably, Jaymi required us to fill out a very thorough document to help prep her as much as possible; from minor details about us as a couple to specific information about relationships/photo groupings. Additionally, Jaymi went above and beyond providing sneak peaks and the final photos. I was stunned with the volume of breathtaking photos we received, and the swiftness in sharing sneak peak photos post wedding! One of my favorite memories was driving home the day after our wedding, and going through the sneak peaks admits a 10 hour drive. All these things were something I really appreciated, wedding photos are very intimate and it's assuring to work with someone who cares as much about the photos as we do. Lastly, I want to compliment Jaymi as a person! She is incredibly kind, and really brings the 'joy' in Jaymi Joy. She was cheerful throughout the entire day, keeping things on track and making sure everyone was feeling great. Jaymi is flexible, understanding, patient, and above all else, caring. I truly cannot compliment Jaymi enough, and know she will treat every wedding with the same devotion she treated ours.”

“It is really hard for me to put into words just how amazing Katie and her husband Matt are. We found them through our friends who used them for their wedding. We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding, and our friends had attended one the year before in Jamaica which Katie and Matt photographed. Because of that wedding, they chose them to be their photographer for their wedding in Michigan. After we saw the photos from the destination wedding and our friend's engagement photos we knew they would be perfect for us. After we saw our friend's wedding photos we knew made the right choice. Katie and Matt from the beginning were super helpful and were incredibly integral on our wedding weekend and day. When they arrived in Mexico, they met up with us and started to work immediately. They came to our rehearsal helping us decide where to put our camera for filming the ceremony and other helpful advice for the day of. They helped find the PERFECT first look location. On the day of the wedding, Katie and Matt were energetic and came ready to help put us to ease. Katie and Matt just have a way of making you feel at ease and then make you look like models. They did a great combination of classic portraits but a lot of candid photos mixed in (which were my favorites). They stayed through the our whole reception and the photos we got look out of a bridal magazine. We had a secondary shoot the day after as a Trash the Dress photo shoot, and the sunset photos we got look like post cards. The only down side of using Katie and Matt is that they gave us too many photos we want to print and get framed! Book them for your destination wedding (or Michigan wedding) and you will absolutely be making the best decision!”

Taylor drove over 3 hours to do our little engagement shoot and came with this little speaker and the most warming personality.
