Ries Video Productions
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Washington Crossing, PA
  • Videographer
  • Storytelling style
  • Starts at $2,850

Hi, I'm Kari Ries, owner and lead videographer of Ries Video Productions. As a young producer for Time Warner in NYC, I shot and edited all of my own news stories. When my husband and I got married in 1994, I edited my own wedding video, creating a story of "us". I realized right then and there that I was most energized by personal and creative videography, and boom, Ries Video Productions was born! My time spent at NBC10 in Philadelphia as a photojournalist is when I refined my storytelling skills. When a great story comes together with creative visuals, compelling narration, and carefully curated music, it's pure magic!

Working with Kari at Ries Video Productions was an amazing experience. She is super professional and she is also very kind. You can tell how much she truly enjoys creating special memories for her couples and the captivating finished products speak for themselves. I can't wait to work with Ries Video Productions again soon!

What could we ever say about Gemma and her beautiful company. The whole experience was seamless and fantastic. Everything was stress-free, appointments were booked with ease and scheduled timely. Not to mention the actual quality come wedding time. Gemma curated the perfect playlist. She is not your typical DJ that over talks on the mic or doesn't read the room. She is phenomenal at everything she does and keeps the vibe up the whole night! Likewise, her photographers Hanna and Kelton were epic! They captured so many moments while also letting us be a part of the experience and not taking away from genuine, candid moments. Kelton was all over the dance floor and really got into it without making anyone feel like there was always a flash or camera in their face. They all truly listened to what we were looking for in our vendors and delivered 100%! Our guest could not stop talking about the quality of each one of them, but also just how lovely of human beings they were!! 10/10 would recommend!

Complete your celebration with photo booths, special effects, and customizable packages designed to bring your dream wedding to life—beautifully and affordably.

I discovered Rod Bell DJ Services while attending a wedding expo in Philadelphia. I contacted numerous companies extensively over a four month period. Despite not having a referral for this company, our communications from the start solidified my choice to move forward with this company. I chose the photography, videography and drone package for our wedding day. Communication was clear and always consistent from start to finish. Emails were even sent on the weekends and beyond normal work hours, which impressed me even more. The entire team worked with all of my needs and they were dedicated to ensuring every detail was addressed. Prior to the big day the videographer/drone (King) and photographer (Rob) reached out to ensure my vision was understood. They were both attentive and excellent in capturing every precious moment of our celebration. Guests commented on how professional, organized and dedicated the team was while performing the services. If you are looking for a one stop shop company to fulfil your wedding need, I would highly recommend Rod Bell DJ service. I posted some photos captured during our wedding. We are thrilled with the services provided and anticipate the same for anyone planning on utilizing their services in the future. Thank you from Mr. and Mrs. Shaw and our wedding party!

From the moment we walked through the doors of The Drexelbrook, we knew our daughter’s wedding was in the very best hands. What unfolded on her wedding day was nothing short of extraordinary; an experience filled with elegance, warmth, and absolute perfection. The staff was truly amazing! They were attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making the day flawless. The food was incredible, exceeding every expectation, and the convenience of having the venue, hotel, and after-party all in one location was such a gift to our guests. The attached bar and restaurant allowed family and friends to arrive early and comfortably socialize before the celebration began, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere from the start. The outdoor setting provided stunning photo opportunities that we will treasure forever. Every single staff member went above and beyond, but we are especially grateful to Hannah, Kim, and Dom Savino. From our very first meeting through the wedding day itself, they were exceptional. There truly are not enough words to thank them for their guidance, kindness, and attention to every detail. Everything was handled with such care and excellence. It was nothing but the best! We are so very thankful to The Drexelbrook for making our daughter’s wedding day absolutely magical. It fulfilled her dream of a perfect wedding, and for that, we will be forever grateful. First and foremost I have to recognize the staff who worked the event at the hotel. Katrina, who is the event coordinator, was wonderfully communicative and detail oriented. We wanted to keep things relatively simple for our wedding but she had some great ideas to spruce things up a bit and helped to keep us on track leading up to the day of. The evening prior and on the day she was helping us set things up and made sure to keep our chaotic group on schedule. Not only that she was extremely helpful in managing the group, helping to cue and time our processions and intros into the dining room after the ceremony. She also added a personal touch to the centerpieces by arranging some fresh flowers we'd brought in and I thought the result was lovely. As important as Katrina were all of the wait staff and bartenders for our wedding. Jordan, Dawn and Dinnea took care of dinner service and Doug and Debbie tended the bar. We interacted with Jordan, Doug and Debbie the most but we've spoken to friends and family who agreed that the service was excellent. I want to call out Jordan specifically because that dude was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed from drinks to food. On top of all of that he was just one of the most pleasant and kind humans we could have asked for to take care of us that day. We'd also like to extend a big thank you to the whole group as we had some late arrivals who came in during dinner time. The staff immediately noticed and without any fuss went over to get their order and get them served. We had opted for a Delmonico steak and salmon as our primary entrees. Note that because of the volume of guests the Delmonicos were all cooked to somewhere around medium. I can't vouch for everyone's steak but mine came out perfectly medium. As far as I can tell from catching up with friends and family during and after the wedding everyone was pleased and really enjoyed their meals. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere that was created. We ended up choosing the Orchid(?) package, if I recall the name correctly, which is their all inclusive package and I think it was worth every penny. I really enjoyed the up lighting and hotel provided centerpieces but I can see how if you have a different vision in mind then you may want to opt for a different offering. On top of the work they did in the space the hotel has a couple of outdoor seating areas, one of which has a fire pit, that were favorites of the group to take breaks from the party rocking inside. Ultimately the most important part of our wedding day was to unite our friends and family in one place where we could party and then not have to worry about transferring from the reception venue back to the hotel. As far as we're concerned Katrina and her staff delivered on this want magnificently. From the maintenance of the hotel and event space, to the friendly and thoughtful staff, to the convenient location for our friends and family; we could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding day.

Ethan the owner was our DJ and he was professional, did a wonderful ceremony, and listened to all our requests. While we had a vision for music, we put a lot of our trust in him and he came through. Everyone had SO much fun and he kept us dancing all night. They also filmed content (with our permission) and created a reel of dance floor clips of us and all the people we love! It was so fun getting to watch that a few days after the wedding. We are so glad we went with Empower.

Valleygreen Flowers was absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. So many florists had minimums that were already thousands of dollars over our budget, but Valleygreen gave us everything we wanted (and more!) for a so much more affordable price. We were unsure about our color palette going into planning the florals, and our florist helped us create a vision that incorporated everything we needed. Everything arrived on time the day of the wedding and was absolutely beautiful and the florists did a wonderful job of setting everything up for our ceremony and reception. Hey y’all! My name's Gabriella, an experience-focused wedding photographer based in Philadelphia. I love being outside, running with friends, spoiling my dog, crying at rom coms and cooking dinner with my boyfriend. I may or may not be a coffee snob 🫣 But most importantly to you - I LOVE photographing couples in love, and I'm an expert at helping couples feel like themselves in front of the camera during some of the most special & important days of their lives.

Awarded Best of Zola
Get ready for a good one. I came to know Gabriella through some trusted mutual friends outside of the wedding industry and knew her for several years before my husband and I even got engaged -- and I knew when we did, she would be our woman. Having been a bridesmaid in other weddings, I knew first hand how a photographer can make or break your day and knew Gabriella would be firmly on the 'make' side. She is diligent, kind, and oh so much FUN. I don't want to give away all her tricks but she will make you feel so special from start to finish. She goes above and beyond to accommodate special situations in families (the good, the bad, and the ugly), not to mention all the impromptu things that come up within the wedding process and on wedding days. One thing I can't recommend enough is her podcast, The Busy Bride. Her intel as someone inside the wedding industry is invaluable and we found quite a few vendors and ideas by taking her insight into consideration. She is now engaged herself and doing a series on her wedding process which I am jealous I didn't get to listen to before our wedding but can't wait to enjoy her journey from the listener end moving forward. What we wanted from a photographer was simply someone who would capture what was genuinely rising to the surface on our day, and Gabriella did just that. My husband was likely the more nervous of the two of us to be emotional in front of others and when the day came, it was not an issue at all. I think this is partially testament to how much he trusted Gabriella. All her photos are easy breezy beautiful once they arrive in your inbox (always on time) and you will never get tired of looking at them and feeling just how you felt when they were taken. ALSO! She doesn't advertise this much but your girl does boudoir shoots! Also an amazing experience and a great wedding gift for your honey ;) Amazing experience there, too. LOVED Gabriella and hope to use her again for future milestones :')

My name is Amber Helverson, and I have been in this industry for twelve years. My absolute passion is doing makeup, and making my clients feel their most beautiful. As a little kid I was always playing with my friends hair, and makeup, and just always wanted people to feel good about themselves. Being apart of someone’s big day is always such an honor because they’re trusting you to make them look, and feel their best, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted! Please note, we only offer makeup services, but can send referrals for hair stylists!

Amber was an absolute dream to work with for my wedding day glam. From our first communication, she was responsive, fun, and clearly an expert at her craft. On the wedding day itself, Amber made me feel comfortable and confident, like we were old friends catching up over makeup. More importantly, the final look was incredible - my makeup was flawless, beautiful, and stayed perfect all night long on the dance floor! I truly felt my best self thanks to Amber's talented work. Considering her skill level, her rates are very reasonable. Amber is a real gem in the wedding world. If you're a bride searching for a beauty pro, look no further - Amber will understand exactly what you want and make it happen!

After going through dozens of hair and makeup artists, I'm thrilled to have found Becki! Her Enchanted Package was perfect for my small wedding party, and her pricing was right on point! Her style is so lovely, light, and romantic. She was incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding, sending tips and planning information regularly so I always knew what I needed to do. As someone who really doesn't wear makeup, I'm glad I decided to add a hair and makeup trial. It was a great opprotunity to meet Becki before my wedding, and she really helped make me feel so comfortable with my styling choices at the trial so I knew more of what to expect on my wedding day. Day of the wedding, Becki arrived bright and early at 6am to get us started! It was so fun to work with her, she really helped keep the mood light and is just such an amazing person! My hair and makeup didn't budge all day, even in some lovely humidity. I can't recommend Becki enough, she truly is a wonderful person and incredible artist!

Awarded Best of Zola
We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. John does everything he can to ensure he can serve you how you want on your special day. I would highly recommend John, Guy, and Power Play Entertainment as a whole.

Elkins Estate

Elkins Park, PA
  • Venue
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor

Set across 42 acres just beyond Philadelphia, the estate is home to a collection of architecturally significant mansions, each offering its own private experience. Elstowe Manor anchors the estate with grand Gilded Age architecture and fully restored interiors, while Chelten House, an English Tudor estate arriving in late 2026, and the Carriage House to follow, will introduce two additional, entirely distinct settings. Each property hosts its own celebration, creating a sense of exclusivity that’s rare to find. With overnight accommodations onsite, your wedding becomes more than a day, it becomes a fully immersive weekend, brought to life with Landmark’s signature hospitality.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Has a sophisticated vibe
  • All-inclusive venue packages

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
Elstowe Manor at Elkins Estate was an absolute DREAM! The venue is a gorgeous rare gem for the Philadelphia area filled with European and Gilded Age charm, which is what drew my husband and I to it. The preferred communication for them is through email and very formal initially, however in person they make you feel like family! The catering and wait staff were highly attentive to all guests, ensuring our special day went off without a hitch. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue.

I started as a full-time nightclub DJ and after a decade transitioned to weddings. To date I've entertained 1000+ weddings to prepare for your celebration. Many of my past clients have described me as "the most un-wedding DJ, wedding DJ there is." I don’t conform to the typical stereotypes that may lurk in your nightmares after you attended bad weddings. This includes an exaggerated voice, a bunch of inflatable props, and I do not impose line dances and tacky clichés. I focus on ensuring that your plan for the day is solid and that you are confident I understand what is expected of me. I am your DJ, your MC, and your quality control planner.

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! Michael was professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with. He truly understood the vibe we wanted for each part of the day, and adhered to our not-so-traditional requests perfectly. We felt completely supported, and our guests had an amazing time. He even took some awesome pictures of us. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend him to anyone planning a wedding!

Why is everyone making wedding videography so difficult? It's really quite simple. You want an amazing video that you'll be proud to share on social and still be excited to watch decades from now, but you don't want someone annyoing, obtrusive or overly expensive to create it. We get it!

Initially we were unsure about getting a videographer but after seeing the footage from our wedding we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Pat was so communicative and made the process so seamless. Dave our videographer was amazing! He had multiple camera angles and we barely even noticed he was there. He captured the most amazing moments and our video came so quickly we couldn't believe it! Thank you for letting us relive our wedding day again and again. 10/10

Josh Cash productions did an amazing job capturing the fairy tale wedding for Amanda&Kyle Joseph wedding video. He was prompt the day of the wedding, was not intrusive or overbearing. The quality of his workmanship was perfection. The end product could honestly be put side by side to a Hollywood production and you couldn’t tell which was which. He didn’t leave out any special detail. Highly recommend Josh Case Productions!!!
