“Eric was awesome to work with from the start. He’s a true professional at his work and is extremely personable. He really understood the vision for our wedding and fulfilled it ten times over. We used Eric for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and for all three he exceeded our expectations. The music was phenomenal and the lighting looks amazing in pictures. He helped us host a great party, was receptive to all of our song requests and preferences, and checked in with us as needed before and throughout the wedding. He kept the energy up all night and knew exactly what to play when. He was also a great emcee, super likable and not the least bit cheesy or abrasive during any announcements during the reception. Everyone complimented how cool he was and what a great set he played. We cannot recommend him enough and can’t wait to party with him again!”

What was most important to me was that everyone loved the music and Jay and commented during and after the wedding with how great he was and the music. “Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”

“We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”

“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. I started as a full-time nightclub DJ and after a decade transitioned to weddings. To date I've entertained 1000+ weddings to prepare for your celebration. Many of my past clients have described me as "the most un-wedding DJ, wedding DJ there is." I don’t conform to the typical stereotypes that may lurk in your nightmares after you attended bad weddings. This includes an exaggerated voice, a bunch of inflatable props, and I do not impose line dances and tacky clichés. I focus on ensuring that your plan for the day is solid and that you are confident I understand what is expected of me. I am your DJ, your MC, and your quality control planner.

“Where to start... Michael Kane was so much more than we expected, and we couldn't be happier. I was very picky about all of our vendors, and I'll admit I was nervous about our DJ as well. Would he understand our unique music taste? Would he make sure our guests could hear our vows during the ceremony? Would he be able to read the vibe of the room and maintain a good flow of music to keep all of our guests happy? Well, he went above and beyond in every respect. While my wife and I were nervous wrecks for the entire day, he was there as a kind and supporting presence to make sure we had nothing to worry about. Before the ceremony even started, he gave our rookie Officiant some sage advice that helped calm her nerves. For the ceremony he brought his own (personal) pro speaker system that made sure every guest could hear every word from our officiant and us. He understood our music taste so perfectly that I don't think my wife left the dance floor once. When we found out (mid-reception!) that we could play music beyond the original ending time, he worked with us to extend his schedule to give us the perfect ending to the night. He did ALL THAT while still finding time to take some awesome candid shots of us (that's me, clearly enjoying the song, in the attached picture). Ultimately, DJ Michael Kane handled his job perfectly with professionalism, charisma, kindness, and swagger. I've honestly never been happier to write a review.”

He brought an energy to our dinner portion that I have never witnessed before at a wedding. It was absolutely incredible. Watching our guests dancing through dinner and being able to interact with Matt and enjoy his talent was so special. It was hard to imagine the night getting better… and then it did! Our dance floor was full, and Matt kept everyone included and hyped up. Our guests expressed their admiration to us all night long, with many of them wanting to book Matt for their own events! Our wedding was now 5 weeks ago, and our friends and family are STILL talking about him. And so are we! We feel so incredible lucky to have gotten to experience Matt’s talents and energy, but we feel even luckier to have been able to meet him and have us present during our wedding. “Josh is the absolute BEST DJ and will completely bring together your whole wedding day and make it amazing. I knew I wanted Josh at my dj for my wedding as soon as I saw his instagram page - he creates the best mixes and plays the best songs and really knows how to read the room and determine which songs to play. He creates the ultimate mixes and mash ups, but also listens to you with what you want. His app is detailed so he makes sure your special day goes exactly as planned. He is also readily available whenever you need him for anything. My wedding had a good mix ages (older and younger guests), but he truly has EVERYONE on the dance floor the entire night. I have not stopped hearing all of the compliments from my guests about Josh, about how awesome his skills and mixes were and about how amazing the music was and how he really knew how to engage the crowd. He also has a great set up with lights, a custom dj booth with a screen that you can modify to put your name and also have a slideshow during dinner. It is very aesthetically pleasuring. He made our day so special and it would not have been the same without him. I highly recommend Josh as your DJ for your wedding or any other event. It would be a loss not to have him there.
