Band leader of the best wedding band on the east coast

I have been a drummer since age seven and band leader since age 9. I have played in drum battles with the world's greatest from Louie Bellson to Ed Shaugnessy. I always wanted a pop music, R&B, swing and rock big band and that is what we have been doing since 1993.

We are professional musicians. Not weekenders. This is all we do. We use nothing but LIVE instruments. Most bands today are "karaoke" bands and use tracks or prerecorded bass players, drummers, keyboards while they perform. It looks and sounds like it is coming from a can cause it is.

    The BEST band around!!!!!

    Andrew Thielen’s Big Band was everything and MORE that we could have hoped for at our wedding. Our wedding planner recommended them and we couldn’t have been happier. Their entire appearance at our wedding on the stage was awesome and so classy. They played everything we wanted, and their energy had everyone at our wedding on the dance floor! It was SO much fun and the best night of our lives! This band made our wedding day unforgettable, and our wedding guests continue to rave about them and their talent. We highly recommend Andrew Thielen’s Big Band!!! They are truly the best! We can’t thank them enough for making our wedding the most perfect day!

We come dressed formally in tux vests and ties...we have over 30 colors to match your wedding day colors. Also avail: White tux jackets by special request and a minimum cleaning fee.

we arrive many hours before the event to set up our staging, sound and lights, instruments, stands,cords and cables. We complete this several hours before you arrive.

we require no hotels or motels unless we drive over 5 hours to your chosen venue. We are based in Charleston & Myrtle beach, SC. We always require a hot meal for band at the reception before we begin.
we play all the greatest DANCE songs from yesterday to today with a full live orchestra.
our music is all live. WE are professional...not weekenders or a garage/bar band. We are asked to play all over the east coast because our quality is so superb. We play inaugural balls, debutante balls, concerts, house of blues, planet hollywood, galas, Betty White's birthday, upscale dance cotillions and many other exclusive VIP events.
