I’m Austin Charnis, a classical, Spanish, and contemporary guitarist with more than 15 years of experience performing at weddings throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and beyond. I provide music for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions, with a repertoire spanning classical and Spanish guitar, Bossa Nova, jazz, and instrumental arrangements of contemporary music. Couples can choose from hundreds of songs, request music that has special meaning to them, or work with me to create custom arrangements specifically for their wedding.
Great wedding music is about more than what you hear. I take care of the details behind the scenes, from coordinating with your planner and venue to managing timing, transitions, sound, and setup. Professional sound equipment, wireless microphones, and separate setups for different parts of the wedding are available when needed. Austin is awesome!!
Austin was great to work with. We loved his personality right from the jump. I found out about him from an Instagram ad right when we booked our venue and reached out. He was great with communication, follows up, is organized and really made us feel at ease during the entire process. As a lifelong guitar player myself, Austin is extremely skilled and impressed not only myself but another classically trained guitar player we had as a guest at the wedding. His interactions with guests, staff and other vendors were great, and we were so happy we got to have him as our ceremony guitar player and provide music for our cocktail hour. He has a great batch of songs for you to choose from on his website and was even open to learning something new for us, however his repertoire was so good we just went with ones he already had. I’d def recommend letting him cook with his Spanish and classical stuff, it sounded amazing at our cocktail hour! Not only that but he provided the sound system for our ceremony and it sounded and worked great. Battery powered too. Very easy and a pleasure to work with. If you want great classical guitar at your wedding look no further, I couldn’t recommend Austin more.

The One Vendor We Never Had to Worry About
I worked with Austin for my wedding this past weekend, and he was truly a dream vendor. Throughout the entire planning process, he was incredibly responsive, personable, and proactive. In fact, there were many times when he reached out to me first to help keep everything organized and on track, which made the experience completely stress-free. During the reception, several guests raved about his guitar skills and impressive knowledge of music across a wide range of genres. He even happily accompanied my young niece when she decided, just two hours before the ceremony, that she wanted to sing a song. His flexibility and enthusiasm made that spontaneous moment incredibly special. Beyond his wonderful guitar performance, Austin seamlessly transitioned into the role of DJ and MC for the remainder of the evening. He stayed on top of the schedule, handled announcements flawlessly, and kept everything running smoothly from start to finish. I cannot recommend Austin highly enough. His talent, professionalism, and genuine care were an integral part of making our wedding day so memorable. We are so grateful to have had him as part of our celebration.

Austin was the absolute best
Austin played guitar for both our wedding ceremony and reception, and he was absolutely phenomenal! Even during a very busy planning period, Austin was super responsive on emails and handled all of our requests with ease. He was more than willing to learn every specific song we asked for and executed them beautifully. His music set the perfect mood all day. Highly recommend Austin to anyone looking for a top-tier musician!
