Ellis Green Music provides elegant, engaging live music, whether in a concert setting or as background music for weddings, parties, restaurants, and more. For over ten years we've performed around the Phoenix area for clients ranging from ASU to the NFL, and for audiences including the mayors of Phoenix and Tempe and the governor of Arizona. We've played at prestigious local venues including the Arizona Biltmore, LON's at the Hermosa Inn, and Scottsdale Fashion Square. We play in a variety of configurations- solo piano, trio with bass and drums, larger groups with vocals or horns- whichever is best for the occasion.

Ellis Green is a pianist/bassist and a lifelong Phoenix resident. During his career he has played for weddings, parties, at clubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, golf resorts, senior communities, dance studios, the mall, the airport, a helicopter hangar, a racecourse, a cabinet store, a senior prom, a food sales conference... and many times at the Nash, the premier jazz club in the Phoenix area. He has also performed for the Southwest Emmy awards, and in-studio on FOX 10 Phoenix's morning program. He has recorded three studio albums, which are available on all platforms.

    Unbelievably Talented Band!

    Where do I start!? Ellis Green Music is THE band you need to hire for any occasion! I hope I don't overlook anything in this review! Ellis Green Music is an incredibly talented band! We hired the band for our wedding, and guests were coming up to us throughout and after the event just to rave about how good the band sounded! I found myself, at my own wedding, leaning back in my chair or out of a conversation to pay attention to the band and was constantly thinking to myself, "Wow! They're really good!" It was everything we could have asked for and even better than we could have imagined. Ellis Green Music can play! They're soothing, they're lively, they present incredibly well, they're just the perfect band for your event! Ellis is also incredibly easy to work with. He is accommodating, reasonable, and just an all around good person. Our wedding site was well off the beaten bath and not too conveniently accessible for a jazz band. Yet, the band had no complaints and presented zero issues making it to the event on time, setting up, performing, and packing up! Beyond that, I threw a couple curveballs at Ellis just days before the wedding and asked him if his band could play a couple specific songs. Last minute requests, and yet Ellis Green Music was able to accommodate and perform those songs beautifully. I really cannot say enough good things about Ellis Green Music. You will absolutely not regret hiring this band! I promise you that!

    Just What We Wanted: Perfect Relaxing Vibe

    If I could give 10 stars, I would. Ellis delivered the exact music we wanted during the cocktail hour at our daughter’s wedding. Ellis was quick to respond to all our questions and requests and he is a delight to work with. He requested a list of songs we would like to hear, so I gave him a long list of favorite standards. From my list he compiled a wonderful song list that his group played beautifully. We had a sax player who was a wonderful addition to the cohesive sound. They looked great in black tie and played beautifully!! I really enjoyed mixing with family and friends while enjoying the jazz music in the background. Thank you Ellis! We wish you great success in your music career!

    Fantastic Band for our Wedding!

    Ellis Green Music was a great addition to our spring wedding! They were very prompt and professional with communication. Not only did they provide a great soundtrack, but they also took our wants and vision into consideration when creating the song list. We were very pleased with the arrangement! Luckily, we will only be getting married once, but if I could I would hire Ellis Green all over again!

    Excellent, highly recommended!

    Ellis Green Music was the perfect addition to our rehearsal dinner. Excellent musicians, beautiful music. They know how to read a room, to complement the event without overpowering it. Would have them back anytime.
