DJ Services at San Diego Zoo Safari Park
Outstanding DJ and photobooth services! We used Extreme DJ Service for our wedding at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and they were awesome! Shoutout to Frank our DJ who did a fantastic job MCing and ensured the vibes were immaculate. Roxana was our photobooth technician and she was great! Highly recommend for your wedding or other special event!

Not the Experience We Hoped For
We chose Extreme DJ Service because they were a preferred vendor at our venue and music was one of the most important aspects of our wedding. Unfortunately, while our guests still had a wonderful time celebrating with us, we left feeling disappointed by our DJ experience. Throughout the planning process, there were several communication issues that made us feel uneasy, including confusion surrounding our final payment and even our wedding date. While those things were frustrating, we tried to move forward assuming everything would come together on the wedding day. To make things as easy as possible, we didn’t just rely on the online music portal. We found it to be somewhat difficult to navigate, so I spent additional time creating a detailed PDF that outlined every major event of the evening, including the exact song title and artist for each moment. We also included instructions for our reception playlists, specifically noting that our “Granny Reception” playlist should only be played for the first 15–20 minutes before transitioning into our “Ultimate Reception” playlist. Unfortunately, those instructions weren’t followed. Even after my husband personally went to Eric’s booth during the reception and asked for the music to transition to our “Ultimate Reception” playlist, the change still wasn’t made. We spent countless hours creating those playlists because they reflected the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding, and only a small portion of our requested music ended up being played. One of the most disappointing moments of the night was our last dance. We had intentionally selected a very specific version of our song because it held special meaning to us, but the wrong version was played. Another consistent piece of feedback we received from multiple guests, without us bringing it up first, was that important moments throughout the evening weren’t clearly announced. For example, many guests had no idea the money dance was happening because there wasn’t an announcement directing them to participate. Several people commented afterward that they felt like they had missed parts of the reception because they simply didn’t know they were taking place. After the wedding, I took time before sharing my feedback because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t responding emotionally. I sent my concerns privately first, hoping to open a conversation. Unfortunately, I never received an acknowledgment or apology, which was just as disappointing as the experience itself. I understand every DJ has their own style, and I appreciate reading the crowd is part of the job. However, when a couple spends hours carefully planning the music and provides detailed instructions, I believe those wishes should be respected - or at the very least, there should be a conversation if the plan is to deviate from them. I don’t write negative reviews lightly, but I hope sharing our experience helps future couples make an informed decision.
