Turia DJ Service is based east of Madison in Jefferson County and covers weddings and events across Southern Wisconsin. I started this business because I love music. I enjoy listening to and attending concerts of a wide range of genres. Making playlists has been a hobby since the early days of iTunes in the mid-2000s. I care about what music is playing, I like to dance to good music and want others to dance because it’s fun!

This is your day so the experience will be catered specifically to you. I will get to know you and your personality so that I can understand your preferences beyond filling out a form. I’ll be on your team and we’ll work together to make the soundtrack of your day what you want it to be.

    The calm, local DJ who nailed every moment

    Josiah was a great partner in setting the vibe for our wedding. We met him at a local expo, and while there were plenty of DJs to choose from, he stood out. He gave us his full attention, he was focused on the music, and he's local. We wanted a DJ who was genuinely interested in what we wanted and willing to rise to the challenge, and that's exactly what we got. His personality and kindness also set him apart from other vendors. He was very grounded, which helped ease a lot of the stress that came with planning our wedding. His calm, cool demeanor was an added plus. Our wedding had a non-traditional timeline that required Josiah to think on his feet, and he did it seamlessly. His communication was clear from start to finish. We met over Google Meet, and he also came to Madison to grab a drink with us and walk us through the process. We gave him a long list of songs we didn't want played, along with specific songs for key moments throughout the day. He stuck to a strict timeline and delivered on every request. Josiah made our wedding special, and our guests loved the energy on the dance floor. We put a lot of trust in him, and we would do it all again.

    Absolutely Smashed It Out of the Park!

    Josiah took the time to meet with us several times beforehand and really understand what we were looking for, and it was clear how much thought and preparation he put into everything. Then he absolutely smashed it out of the park during both our ceremony and reception. The music, timing, and overall flow of the night were exactly what we hoped for, and we heard so many compliments from our guests about how great the DJ was. He helped make the entire night feel effortless, fun, and completely us.

    Highly recommend!!

    We had an amazing experience with Josiah for our wedding on 8/21/2026! He was so attentive and professional throughout the entire process. We had multiple meetings leading up to the wedding, and he always made us feel comfortable and confident that everything would run smoothly. He went above and beyond, and our guests had an amazing time! We’re so grateful we chose Josiah and would highly recommend him!

    Best dance party

    Josiah of Turia DJ was exactly what we were hoping for, for both our wedding ceremony and reception!! Thanks to Josiah, our dance was one of our favorite parts of the whole day. We met online with him several times before the wedding, and once in person. He is clearly knowledgeable about the industry, helped answer timeline questions we had, and took time to visit the venue beforehand. On the day of the wedding, he brought all the equipment needed for handling the outdoor ceremony, including batteries to accommodate the lack of outdoor power at the venue. He even helped us record the ceremony audio as a last minute request. For the reception he brought lights and kept the party going and energized late into the night. He left a remote speaker outdoors during the party so people could go outside and still enjoy the music, which was a pleasant surprise. A great anecdote about Josiah: in the evening during the dance, the Madison Mallards had an (unexpected) Shrek rave drone show next door. As we were watching the show, he expertly pulled up “I’m a Believer” which really kicked the dance into high gear. Class act! We got very lucky to book him, we highly recommend his services!
