    Great food; Subpar Communication

We heard all positive comments about the food at our wedding and it was truly fantastic. The layout for the charcuterie table during cocktail hour was beautiful, and the food we chose was delicious. The food itself would get a 5/5 rating. In the beginning, we set up a tasting with Sierra, who was charismatic and truly sold us on the full experience, making it sound like they would take care of *everything* including set-up, bartending, and clean-up. And in some ways, on the day of, they did. But there was a lot we had to fill in on our own, and between booking F&F and our wedding day, it was extremely hard to get a hold of anyone to answer questions and felt extremely impersonal. They were essentially unresponsive or gave bare minimum answers until about a week before our wedding, and then started calling nonstop to try and get final numbers and details from us. They told us with a week to go that we would need to rent a 400 oven for them, which we had to coordinate with a different rental company than ours since it was so last-minute (and an unexpected expense!). We wished we were able to communicate more throughout the months leading up to the day; for example at our tasting we were told we could have a say in choosing the platters/trays for charcuterie but were never given that option later on. We could have had them coordinate with our florist but instead they brought their own roses which didn't match our colors. They said after serving buffet-style they would call people up for seconds, but never did. They assured us they would pack up our leftovers but we never saw anything. They wanted us to prepare pre-made cocktails almost fully so they wouldn't have to mix anything, although they had originally said they could do that as well. So overall, things were fine, but I wish they treated clients like collaborators throughout the process of planning a wedding rather than just another job.
