    Flavor That Delivers

Food was one of the things I cared most about getting right for our wedding. I love to cook, and for me, cooking for family and friends has always been one of the ways I show people I love them. There's something special about putting time, thought, and care into a meal and getting to share it with the people who matter most. So when it came to choosing our caterer, the food had to be more than just good. It had to mean something. Chef Tessa absolutely delivered. Our tasting was wonderful. Tessa welcomed us into her home, and we got to try so many incredible dishes. Picking our menu turned out to be surprisingly difficult, but not because anything missed the mark. Quite the opposite. We wanted everything. Narrowing down the options was less about deciding what we liked and more about accepting that we couldn't serve the entire menu at our wedding. Every dish felt thoughtful, and you could taste the care that went into it. That's what stood out to me. Great food isn't just about technique or presentation. It's about the little details, the flavors that work together, and the feeling that someone genuinely cares about what they're putting on your plate. After our tasting, we spent the better part of a year looking forward to eating that food again. Specifically, the lemon thyme chicken and the salmon. We talked about those dishes enough that you'd think we were planning a wedding around them. Honestly, we might have been. When the day finally arrived, Chef Tessa delivered on everything we remembered and more. It was exactly what we had hoped for, and having food that good to share with our family and friends made the day that much more special. I know how much love can go into cooking for people, which is probably why I appreciate what Tessa does so much. She doesn't just make food to fill a plate. She creates something worth gathering around. If food matters to you, do yourself a favor and talk to Chef Tessa. Your guests will remember the meal, and there's a good chance you'll spend the next year thinking about it, too.

    Anniversary Couple

Tessa communicated with us through detailed emails that covered every detail, so we never had to guess what was happening. On the day of our anniversary celebration, the team arrived on time and was completely prepared with thoughtful touches like colorful posters to guide our guests to the coffee bar, and printed menu cards at each table. Beyond the food itself, those were added extras that made our day feel special and showed how much they cared about our celebration. The whole experience was professional, which is exactly what you want from a caterer. We would recommend Simply Sated By Tessa to any couple looking for a caterer they can trust.

    Wonderful

Working with Simply Sated By Tessa was such a smooth experience from start to finish. Tessa got back to us quickly whenever we had questions, which made the planning process stress-free. She was flexible with our requests and really went out of her way to help us create the menu we wanted. Our guests could not stop talking about the food—it was honestly the highlight for so many people at our wedding. The service on the day was flawless, and everything felt worth every penny. We can't recommend Tessa and Simply Sated enough for couples looking for a caterer who truly cares about making their day special.

    BEWARE

They were late, one server got there at 3.19, food didn’t arrive until after ceremony (around 3.45 per my venue coordinator). Per their timeline they were supposed to arrive at 1. Didn’t know how to argue with them on day of about them being late, so I didn’t. Almost had to order fast food for everyone. The pasta was much spicier than I expected, we ordered chicken Parma Rosa but people were referring to it as Rasta pasta. I eat Rasta pasta, to be honest I even had some the next day, most of my guest don’t like Rasta pasta though. Had it been supposed to be that, would have been great, but it was supposed to be Parma Rosa. Honestly would recommend if you were looking for only spicy seasoning because to be honest some of the better Rasta pasta I’ve had. But it doesn’t matter if it’s the best lobster ever if you ordered steak (figure of speech, no lobster or steak ordered or delivered). All the appetizers were cold per several of my guests, I was obviously taking pictures but I trust my guests over her staff. Staff was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. A lot of guests did eat and like it but it wasn’t what I ordered. Spinach bites were good, best cornbread I have personally ever had. Could I rate those things separately I would give 5/5 stars but was not worth the stress of them being late or me worrying about what my people who I know cannot handle spicy were thinking of the food. Also I asked for the most mild and sweet glaze for Korean BBQ and it was still too spicy. Potatoes were good and garlic bread was ok. We were under the impression that the roast beef was coming in slices and it came pulled. She claims that we knew it would come pulled, honestly the roast beef wasn’t bad though and had that been the only difference I wouldn’t complain because it tasted fine, just not what we thought we had ordered and not how it was served at tasting. Maybe she did explain that to us to be honest and I just don’t remember it. To be fair I tried a different chicken dish at the tasting and changed my mind to chicken Parma Rosa but I didn’t think I would need to clarify to “not spicy” chicken Parma Rosa because I’ve never had that dish be spicy and the chicken dish I had at tasting was not spicy at all. If it is supposed to be spicy then never mind disregard this and I’m an idiot and apologize. I emailed her back letting her know my concerns. She said she would give me a partial refund to cover the cost of the chicken skewers and part of the pasta, I thought this was very fair, and we can move on. WRONG. Next day she sends me an email saying that actually she’s not going to give me a refund. I’ve never heard of someone professional rescinding a refund. She sends me videos that their social media team had taken of the guests reviewing the food. One person said the “Rasta pasta” was great. Once again, if that’s what it was supposed to be, may have been the best Rasta pasta I had ever had. I even ate the leftovers. I ORDERED SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I point this out, she says well one guest called it ziti. BECAUSE A ZITI IS THE TYPE OF NOODLE. One of the guests they asked straight up told me later he was lying in the video about it being good. No one is going to say the food is bad to staff in the middle of the wedding. Half my guests loved it, half couldn’t eat it, one THINKS it MAY be what gave them diarrhea/ stomach ache the next day. Also person had 3 weddings in one day per one of her servers, don’t do 3 weddings if you can’t do them right.

    Words cannot describe the deliciousness

I’ve heard people say before that wedding food is never good, but Tessa truly proves those people wrong. We went with a creole and Mexican theme for our wedding food and it was the most mouthwatering good food I could’ve ever imagined eating on my wedding day. Every single one of our guest was talking about how amazing the food was and how impressed they were. Tessa was excellent with keeping us updated on every little thing we needed to do and sending gentle reminders if there was something she needed from us. She is such a sweetheart, and I would love to have her cater another event of mine sometime!
