Hi, I'm Laura! I am a lifelong artist with 3+ years experience drawing people live for events. Here is an overview of my process in case it's helpful! I typically arrive before the wedding reception and stay for the duration, taking photos of guests as they come by my table and painting them throughout the reception. For those whose portraits are finished while I am there, I will display them at my table for guests to pick up at anytime! Typically I can paint 50-60 people during a 5 hour reception. I will finish any remaining portraits within 2 weeks of the wedding and mail them to you to send out with your "Thank You" cards!

It's always an honor to use my skills in a way that helps capture meaningful memories for people, and I keep things as engaging and fun you and your guests as I can! I can work quickly and with care for the little details, always looking for ways to give people's portraits that extra personal touch. I'm communicative and will make sure to take care of logistics ahead of time, so you can focus on enjoying your wedding day. Mostly, I just love what I do and feel that it shows up in my work and in my presence during the event!

Live portraits are an interactive favor your guests will treasure long after your wedding day. This package is built for weddings up to 75 people! I set up a table with some examples, take photos of your guests, and spend the event painting and interacting with them, capturing the memories you make in a special way! Any portraits not finished at the event will be mailed to you 2-3 weeks after to send with Thank You Cards. Note that a painting of (2) people counts as (2) portraits.

Best Addition to our Wedding Day
Laura was a huge hit at our wedding! We asked Laura to do portraits when we were just a couple of weeks out from the event, and she was extremely flexible on such short timelines. The day after our wedding day, we received so many unprompted comments from our guests on how much they loved the portraits she did for them. Her work made our day feel even more special and memorable. We cannot recommend her enough!

Live painting
Working with Laura for our live portrait was a fantastic choice for our wedding day. Laura communicated with us every step of the way and was transparent about timelines, prices and what to expect, which gave us complete peace of mind. Laura was so amazing to have at our wedding! She was very responsive and accommodating during the planning process and absolutely amazing day of. I got endless compliments from my guests on her beautiful work and they loved having an interactive activity during the night. Even after the wedding was over she had any leftover portraits completed within 1 week which is so quick! I would highly recommend anyone looking for an artist for an event to hire Laura :) I can’t thank Laura enough for making my dream of having an artist at my wedding come true.

A fun addition to any event!

The Perfect Unique Addition for your Event
We were lucky to have Laura's live sketches for 250 guests. Her artwork makes the perfect memento. We decided to add this fun, unique experience in place of a photobooth. Laura was so easy to work with, bringing talent and personality to the experience, organizing time slots and fulfilling sketches for many guests in the time she had. Her live sketches were a top mention in our guest feedback surveys. In the age of AI, it was so much fun to experience the gift of authentic art and humanity, with a unique keepsake to remember our event.
