A Lily Among Thorns
A Lily Among Thorns offers romantic and modern floral designs for the New York Metropolitan area. With our design studio located in Northern New Jersey, we can also happily extend our design services to Connecticut and Pennsylvania. We specialize in an organic and airy approach to floral design drawing inspiration from how stems naturally grow in nature. In our design approach, we lean towards intentional minimalism so we can focus on designs that truly resonate with our couples.
With an emphasis on color theory and principles of design, each wedding and event is designed intentionally while honoring seasonality. Our work is collaborative and curious as we work alongside Wedding Planners and Designers to execute a vision that is sentimental and original.

A Bride and Groom in Awe of Isabel
Isabel has an insanely amazing eye and such a beautiful design style. We were both just in complete awe of her work! Every time we walked by a floral arrangement we felt like we had entered an alternate universe they were so beautiful! Our guests were also absolutely stunned by the florals, with so many commenting that it looked as though the flowers had bloomed right from the ground because of how seamlessly they complemented the natural flora and fauna of our venue. She took every idea we had in our heads and somehow made it 1000x better - the final result truly left us speechless. Throughout the planning process, she was also so communicative, organized, and incredibly helpful, always taking the time to walk us through the process and make sure we understood everything along the way. We couldn’t have been happier with how beautifully she brought our vision to life! Everytime I look back at our photos all I can think is “thank you Isabel!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

So perfect!!!!
Isabel truly exceeded expectations. I knew next to nothing about flowers going into this experience. When Isabel presented the initial inspiration design board for the wedding, I made a couple of comments of things I liked and did not like. Isabel took all that feedback, and some inspiration photos I emailed her, and truly made the most beautiful wedding flowers in the world! She was also very fun, professional, and low stress, which enabled me to feel comfortable providing the initial comments and getting the flowers of my dreams for the actual wedding day. Isabel also added fun fruit and candles to the the table, creating an experience my guests are still discussing to this day.
