She moved quickly, anticipated problems before they happened, and always made us feel like everything was under control. As a couple planning a wedding in NYC without local connections, her network and industry relationships were invaluable and helped make the entire process so much smoother. One of April's greatest strengths is her ability to command a room with clarity, confidence, and professionalism while also having an incredibly kind and supportive presence. She knew exactly how to keep things moving and keep everyone on track, but she also had the tact and soft touch I (the bride) needed during those overwhelming moments when I felt ready to fall apart. And when unexpected challenges arise, April is absolutely incredible under pressure: Our outdoor ceremony location had to change completely because of rain. April seamlessly pivoted all of our vendors, coordinated the new plan, communicated changes to guests, and kept everything running smoothly and shockingly on time. My wedding dress ripped right before the ceremony. Without hesitation, April stepped in and created a makeshift corset on the spot so we could continue with photos and the celebration. We had our hearts set on Tuscany at first, but once we saw her work, the feeling of Lake Maggiore pulled us in completely, and I still don't have the words for what we lived that day. It sounds like the setup to a joke, and somehow Valentina brought every one of them to the same place to share the most beautiful experience of our lives. She paid attention to everything. “Talk about making the impossible, possible! I had worked with MVW Events to plan a surprise engagement picnic for my then girlfriend, now wife. Around the time, I was wrapping up my graduate program and set to graduate the day after I planned on proposing. MVW helped me set the vision for the picnic and coordinated sourcing vendors for the right deals on items that would make the moment extra special. With all the details in place, I was confident in what we had planned and was actually less nervous about the whole bended knee thing because of it. Fast forward to the day of and guess what ... It RAINED!! so the park area I had in mind did not allow folks on the grass after fresh rain so we had to change plans on the fly. Morgan and her super creative brain proposed she and her team set up everything in my apartment instead. That way we could have everything we needed for the occasion within arms reach. She even secretly met me while I was out with my partner at a school event to grab my apartment keys and head over to set everything up while I was out. When we got home, when I say the place looked like MAGIC!! We were both blown away (but of course I had an idea of what to expect). And of course, it went perfectly from there. Elizabeth and Emlan Events were amazing to work with and I cannot recommend them enough - particularly for an at-home wedding that requires finding, vetting, negotiating with & managing multiple vendors ( tents, toilets, caterers, rentals, transportation, hotels, etc.). Elizabeth took our vision and our budget and brought our wedding to life -- we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. She's very adept at simplifying asks and cutting to the bottom line of what needs to be addressed / decided by you ( the couple) to proceed -- which was incredibly valuable to save time on decisions, and eliminate unnecessary, impractical or undesirable options. Gabriella even managed my church wedding rehearsal, which helped everything feel so much more organized going into the big day. On the wedding morning, I completely forgot to get Prosecco for me and my bridal party while we were getting ready, and Gabriella brought it for us. She also helped me order last-minute things I needed through DoorDash and made sure they were delivered to the venue. The biggest thing for me was that I didn’t have to run around worrying about logistics. I wasn’t trying to find the florist, checking where vendors were, or making sure everyone got on the party bus to get to the church. Gabriella and Nancy handled all of those details behind the scenes so I could actually be present and enjoy the day. And decision fatigue? VERY real, especially with an Indian wedding. Megha took the time to truly understand my style—what I liked, what I didn’t—and made so many behind-the-scenes decisions on my behalf. She just got it, which made such a difference. We started with budgeting, and she absolutely nailed it. Megha is incredibly flexible and resourceful—she can work within any budget without compromising the experience. She never showed me options outside of what we were comfortable with, which I appreciated so much. (The only time I went over budget was for my outfit—and that was 100% my doing haha) When it came to vendors, she suggested people who matched our vision, understood the cultural elements, and stayed within budget. As the wedding approached, she checked in constantly, which meant everything during such a busy and emotional time. And during the actual wedding it rained and we needed to rely on our backup plan. she handled it all so calmly that I never once felt stressed. That level of execution is rare. For the record, I didn’t know Megha before this, and there’s absolutely no incentive behind this review. I’m just a bride who feels incredibly lucky and so grateful to have had such an AMAZING planner for such a big, beautiful, and meaningful celebration.”

“LGBTQ safe. Type A personality approved. Experience with lesbian weddings (two bridezillas). Awesome team. Communicative and highly organized. 180 person wedding. After having a bad experience with another wedding planner, we found Chelsea Song Events. And thank god, we did. Chelsea immediately put my partner and I at ease. Within a week, Chelsea made us a shared document/spreadsheet where she organized all our vendors, to-do lists, timelines, etc. When I talk about everything was organized (even when to write vows, parent gifts, when to organize bathroom baskets and what to put in them), I mean everything.. Having access to this helped our Type A personalities feel so much better. For months, we met on a regular basis, and Chelsea always came with an agenda to help us focus on what needed to be done or updates about what she had done during those two weeks. There was full transparency which we really appreciated. After hiring some wonky vendors (before we met Chelsea), she pushed to make sure she personally had meetings with them and prepared them to deliver on the day of. She also created design mockups and floor plans so that we could really envision what the venue would look like. The month of the wedding, Chelsea handled everything having to do with vendors and the venue (double checking things, COIs, contacts), giving us brides the time to relax and get excited for the big day (without a to-do list ourselves). And day of, wow! She killed it. She and her team handled everything so that we didn’t have to. We had 180 people and a dozen vendors. But still, every time she saw us, Chelsea assured us everything was perfect (AKA she was putting out fires left and right, but we didn’t know that). And we ran EXACTLY on time, thanks to her. We also heard from so many of our vendors that she was amazing to work with on that side too. It’s difficult to put your trust into someone when planning a wedding, but speaking for myself and my partner, you can trust Chelsea every step of the way. She truly cares about her couples, and she loves what she does. She’s always reachable, great to bounce ideas off of, and wants to make your dream wedding come true. While being a perfectionist planner, Chelsea is also the kindest person. We can’t recommend her enough.”

“We didn't think we needed wedding coordinators because we weren't planning a big, elaborate wedding. We wanted something small and meaningful—an intimate celebration with about 60 - 70 close family and friends —and figured we could handle most of the planning ourselves. We chose a restaurant, sent out invitations, and thought we had things under control. But our thinking shifted once we started considering the logistics of the actual day—including seemingly simple things like how to arrange chairs for the ceremony. Friends and family offered to help, but we wanted them to enjoy the event as guests, not worry about the details. After speaking with Ingrid and Gloria and reviewing their very reasonable proposal, we felt good about bringing them on. Over the next two months, they kept us organized, offered thoughtful and constructive suggestions, and were a steady source of calm and encouragement. They listened earnestly to what we wanted and helped bring it to life in a way that felt both personal and polished. We also really appreciated their help communicating and coordinating with vendors, including the restaurant, our photographer, and our musician.
