About Fountainhead Floral Design
Kate LaPietra
The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).
Do you know how hard it is to plan a wedding when you live far away? It feels like you're missing out on something special; not to mention getting someone to talk to you in your time zone! What we do is eliminate the disadvantages of distance with concierge-level communications including prompt responses and flexible hours. Incredibly talented florist
We booked Kate as our wedding florist after our original florist had to cancel, and we truly could not have ended up in better hands! From the moment we reached out, Kate immediately put our minds at ease. She responded right away, was genuinely kind and understanding of our situation, and was eager to help. What started as a stressful situation quickly turned into one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Throughout the planning process, Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with. We exchanged lots of pictures to make sure we were on the same page, and she understood our vision perfectly. She offered thoughtful suggestions and guidance while still respecting our ideas. Communication was fantastic from start to finish. Whenever we had a question or concern, she was quick to respond and made us feel completely confident that everything was in good hands. On the wedding day, Kate and her team were nothing short of incredible. The florals absolutely took my breath away! From the aisle markers to the table centerpieces, every detail was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. She brought our vision to life in the most stunning way. She and her team worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. They even stayed through the ceremony to flip the flowers into the reception space. That extra effort and attention to detail meant so much! If you’re looking for a florist who is incredibly talented, professional, attentive, and truly wonderful to work with, look no further than Kate. We are beyond grateful that we found her. I would recommend her a thousand times over to anyone planning their wedding. She is truly incredible!

Perfect Wedding Florals
I worked with Kate from Fountainhead Floral Design for my wedding and she delivered exceptional results. Kate is friendly, asked great questions to understand my vision, and clearly laid out all steps of the process. Elegant Beyond Words
Kate at Fountainhead was so incredibly easy to work with! I told her exactly what I wanted my flowers to look like and she made my vision come to life. We met a few times to go over specific details and she was great about adding things last minute. I can’t imagine my day without her! We asked her to help us with our rehearsal dinner as well and our family and friends loved her work. She is the best!

I hosted an outdoor wedding at my home. Kate’s inspiration pictures were a perfect fit for the bride’s vision. Bouquets and arrangements arrived just as expected. Loose flowers for bud vases worked perfectly. Kate was organized and responsive. The intake meeting assured our visions were aligned. She was flexible when we decided to modify some details at the in person meeting. Flowers were delivered right on time.

Hire Fountainhead!!
Truly can’t say enough good things about working with Kate at Fountainhead Floral. First of all, she’s incredibly communicative, easy to work with, and upfront with all pricing which is so hard to find in the world of wedding vendors. She worked with us to bring our “coastal grandma/Nancy Meyer’s aesthetic to life”, and was the only florist we spoke to who understood what that meant! We audibly gasped and said “WOW” when we walked into our reception space, and during the ceremony I couldn’t stop staring at the arrangements!
