Velvet Blooms

This review is a long time coming! I've worked with Rachel twice - for my wedding in July 2025, and a corporate event in September that same year...and I would do it again in a heartbeat! I originally met Rachel when I sat next to her at a coffee shop and I just so happened to be planning my wedding. Serendipitous! We had a great rapport and I made an appointment to visit her Ventura studio that same week. Rachel was great to work with and was patient and flexible with me as I tweaked the items in the proposal to fit my budget. Our venue was a minimalist white box and I was very nervous about it feeling bare, so I knew the flowers had to be good. Rachel took my vision and ran with it and the result was beyond my wildest dreams! I'm picky about flower types and color combos and she took it in a direction that was so cool, unexpected (in the best way), fun, luxe, modern, and colorful. It met and exceeded my vision and made me so happy. She also had great vessels and pedestals that were exactly what I wanted. It can feel insane to spend thousands of dollars on flowers - they def were a splurge for us - but I can confidently say that I feel like I got my money's worth and more. I walked away feeling like I got a great deal for just how incredible they were. Rachel is a true artist! When I needed floral for a local corporate event I knew I wanted to work with Velvet Blooms again. I order flowers for a lot of similar events all over the country and not every florist "gets" the vibe we're going for - especially with a tricky red, white, and blue color palette. We went for all red flowers for our meeting patio and it was exactly what we imagined - cool, modern, fresh, and beautiful. Rachel nailed it and it was fun getting to work with her for these two very different applications.

Velvet Blooms created the most amazing florals for our event. Rachel provided some inspirations and we quickly decided on a vibe. We were having a Spanish themed dinner and the flowers mixed with produce were perfect. We ended up needing more flowers as the event expanded and I was so happy Velvet Blooms was able to accommodate with a few weeks notice. My guests were so happy to take everything home after the event. It was like decor and a gift in one.

Our organization absolutely loved working with Velvet Blooms. We were given many options and ideas, all of which supported our vision. Everything was executed beautifully and professionally as well as within the needs of our event budget.

Rachell was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. She was incredibly easy, communicative, and truly understood my vision from the start. Out of all the vendors we had, her work was hands-down the most impressive and exceeded my expectations in every way. Wedding florals in general come with a high price point, but the quality, creativity, and final result made it 100% worth it. Every arrangement was stunning and elevated the entire look and feel of our day. One detail that meant so much to us was that Rachell thoughtfully added complementary roses for my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle and place at the memorial spot reserved for my husband’s father, who has passed away. It was such a heartfelt and unexpected touch that truly showed her care and attention to the little things. I highly recommend Rachell and her work for weddings and events — her talent, kindness, and attention to detail are unmatched.

Rachel did a beautiful job at our wedding! The ceremony arrangement fit seamlessly into the backdrop of our venue, and we received so many compliments on our reception florals. She really listened to our ask/vision and gave us multiple options that fit into our budget, which was greatly appreciated.
