Hi! So glad you're here. My name is Kari, I am the regional owner of Alea Beauty Boston. Alea Beauty is a nationally recognized and decorated company with locations in AZ/OH. We are the Boston based team! Alea means ascending, and Alea Beauty Boston is all about helping you reach that next level and feel your most fabulous! We are a luxury hair and makeup service that specializes in onsite styling for weddings, lifestyle, and special events. Our award winning team of professional hair and makeup artists will work with you to create a custom look to best compliment your natural beauty.

Alea brings a calm curated energy to the getting ready process. Our team of award winning stylists and artists have a strong background in their craft which allows for beauty with intension. Every look that is designed is tailored. We specialize in naturally elevated beauty that photographs beautifully, wears comfortably, all while still feeling like you. From first consult to final touch up, we are there to help you feel supported and truly seen.

YES! Alea Beauty Boston is the New England branch of the company. We are based in Boston but travel all over New England for weddings and special events. Alea also has branches in AZ and OH.

We recommend booking as soon as you have your date and venue secured. Typically 9 to 12 months in advance. Our calendar fills up quickly, especially during peak wedding season, so early booking ensures availability and allows plenty of time to plan bridal previews.

Yes! We are on on site beauty team and come directly to you on your wedding day. Travel fees vary based on location and distance from Boston (our home base) and will be clearly outlined in your proposal. Destination inquiries are welcome too!

Absolutely. We work with a team of highly experienced artists and stylists, allowing us to easily accommodate bridal parties of all sizes. We'll coordinate a personalized beauty timeline to keep the morning running smoothly and stress-free.

Your bridal preview includes a full consultation and preview of your desired hair and/or makeup look. Its the perfect time to collaborate on your vision, test products, and make any adjustments. Previews are typically scheduled 2-4 months before your wedding day. This is helpful because by this time your dress and accessories are more finalized.

Yes, we offer extended stay and touch up packages to keep you photo ready from first look to last dance. Whether you need a lipstick refresh or a second hairstyle, we've got you covered.

While extremely rare, we always have a contingency plan. Alea Beauty Boston is made up of a reliable, talented team, and we will ensure a qualified replacement from our trusted roster so your beauty schedule stays on track.

Yes. This is super important. To officially secure your wedding date, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer. This protects your time on our calendar and guarantees that your dedicated artists are reserved for you.

The best of the best in Boston

Alea Beauty Boston made our wedding day so much easier by coming right to us for both trials and the big day itself. Lisa and Kelly are genuinely sweet people who made the whole process feel relaxed and fun. My hair stayed in place all night without feeling stiff, and my makeup was light enough that I forgot I was even wearing it. They really understood what I wanted – I looked like myself, just polished. The team communicated clearly throughout planning, and I felt confident every step of the way. They even made changes to the quote when some of my bridesmaids changed their minds. They were able to do all my bridesmaids and mom hair and makeup as well. I'd definitely book them again for any future events.

Looking pretty
From our first conversation with Alea Beauty Boston, we knew we were in good hands. They were open and honest about what they could do for us, answered every question quickly, and made the whole planning process feel easy. Week of the wedding there needed to be a swap in artists and they were able to make it happen. On the day of the wedding, the girls looked awesome and they made our vision come to life without any stress. Everyone in our bridal party felt beautiful and confident, which is exactly what we needed. The team showed up prepared and professional, and honestly, it made such a difference in how we felt getting ready. My hair held until dress change which was a big relief. We would absolutely recommend Alea Beauty Boston to any couple looking for talented beauty professionals who truly care about making your day special.

The team at Alea Beauty Boston was great to work with! Kari is super responsive and helpful in scheduling trials and day-of services. She was happy to get me booked even though I was doing a small wedding and only needed bridal hair and services, while other vendors turned me away because I didn’t meet their minimums. My artist, Laman, was kind, highly skilled, and made the morning of my wedding day super enjoyable! I loved the final hair and makeup, it was exactly the natural look I was hoping for!

Beautiful work and so receptive to feedback
Highly recommend Kari! As two women who don't wear makeup very often, we were looking for someone who could make us feel glamorous without losing ourselves in the process. She listened to our feedback completely and delivered the perfect look. We felt so beautiful and confident and she was a joy to hang with the morning of our wedding. Our makeup withstood dance floor sweat and happy tears and was still looking great at the end of the night.
