Hi there, I'm Heidi and am so happy to connect with you! I'm a makeup artist and hair stylist serving brides in the Pacific Northwest since 2019. Each bride is unique, and I love being able to personalize each look to bring out her natural beauty. "You but enhanced" is my motto! I'm here to take the stress off of the wedding morning to help everyone feel their absolute best, and have fun while doing it! Whether you're a bride looking for services just for yourself, or you have a party of 20 and I'll need to bring additional artists, I'm happy to help make your dream wedding a reality!

While I grew up LOVING makeup tutorials on youtube, I got my real start in makeup during a film school in Australia in 2013 when I found out it could be a real career. From there, I studied at Make Up First school in Chicago in 2016, where after I quit my jobs and went full time freelance in 2017. From there, my career took off in the indie film world in my early days in Chicago. I had so much fun on a variety of horror movies, rom coms, and dramas. I've worked many commercials and runway shows (New York Fashion Week), but really fell in love with Bridal when moving back to the Northwest in 2018.

Bridal Trial Makeup & Hair

Description

In studio appointment to explore and perfect your wedding makeup and hair look before the wedding day.

For the bride, we schedule at least an hour for hair, and an hour for makeup. This can vary based on how much hair she has, and the complexity of the look we're going for, as well as other factors which we can explore during the trial and plan accordingly for the wedding day. For the bridal party, we schedule 45 minutes per person for makeup, 45 minutes for hair - IE 1.5 hours for both. If they have special requests like hair extension application, let us know in advance and we'll allow extra time. We arrive 30 minutes before start time, and pack up takes another 20-30 minutes after we finish as well, so you can factor that into your timing.
Yes absolutely! I have a wonderful community of artists I reach out to to cater to larger parties. They're all experienced professionals with similar styles to me.
For weekends during high season May-October, my minimum is very low: just the bride's makeup and hair with a pre-wedding trial. I love being able to cater to weddings of all sizes - from micro-wedding elopements to very large parties. The largest wedding I've ever served was 29 services! For weekdays and off season, I offer services a-la-carte, so it could be as low as just the bride's makeup OR hair, or bridal party only services.
Absolutely! It's becoming more and more popular to serve the groom as well. Too often, the bride looks absolutely perfect, and the groom gets the short end of the stick, sometimes stuck with redness, pimples, sweat and flyaways. Grooms deserve to feel and look their best on their wedding day too! We offer very minimal makeup and hair so that no one would ever know he's wearing anything - yet he'll be very polished and look very sharp next to his beautiful bride. Makeup and hair styling can be very masculine, and we're all about it!

    I've never felt so beautiful!

    I knew from our interview that I'd found the right hair and makeup artist for my wedding. Having never done any kind of professional hair and makeup, I really had no idea what I was looking for except a vague idea of keeping things natural but elevated. Heidi asked all the right questions and helped me make the ideas more concrete. It was wonderful getting to know her during the hair and makeup trial, as well as her two beautiful cats, and seeing my vision for the wedding come to life. The day of the wedding, she and her team kept everything running smoothly for the seven of us getting our hair and makeup done, and did an outstanding job. They listened to everyone's ideas and worked tirelessly to make sure that everyone left looking exactly how they'd envisioned. They all kept the mood light, fun, and relaxed, which was exactly what I needed! The end result? I've truly never felt so beautiful in my entire life. Heidi kept everything natural, just as I wanted, but elevated everything so elegantly. The best part, was both my hair and makeup made it through the ceremony and reception with barely a hair out of place despite sideways winds and a hot summer day. If you want someone who will truly listen and knows her craft, I would recommend Heidi!

    Wonderful artist and person!

    Heidi Artistry made our wedding day feel effortless and beautiful. From the start, Heidi was calm and professional, responding quickly to all our questions and making us feel completely at ease. Her makeup work was incredible—she has such a talent for making you look like the best version of yourself, not like someone else entirely. My makeup felt natural and stayed perfect throughout the entire day, and I even found myself loving the lip liner she used (and I am not a lip liner girl normally!) She did my hair as well, and it was flawless from ceremony to the last dance. Heidi truly is an artist, and I'd recommend her to any bride in a heartbeat.

    Best Makeup Artist in the Portland Metro area!

    I've had the privilege of working both alongside Heidi and being a client of hers. Both experiences have been wonderful. She's incredibly talented, funny and amazing at what she does - a true professional! I would recommend her to anyone I know.

    Heidi is the best!

    Heidi is incredible! She made the makeup process for my wedding so easy! She is prompt, delightful to work with and perfected the “natural but elevated” wedding makeup look. She was also able to coordinate hair stylists for my wedding day as well which made the process way less stressful! I would highly recommend! (and I have because she is been the makeup artist for 3 of my friends already!)
