At the time the contract is signed, a $200 non refundable deposit is taken which will secure your wedding day as well as book your trial.
The $200 deposit is non refundable but we’re not satisfied unless you’re satisfied. If you were unhappy with the original outcome of your trial or the artists, Pin Me Up would provide a complimentary retrial with the same or completely new artists.
Yes. You’ll be receiving the same service for the trial as well as the wedding day.
Unfortunately no. We do require a contract prior to scheduling a trial in order to guarantee artists for the date you’ve requested. If for some reason you weren’t completely satisfied at the trial we would work with you directly to figure out the next steps.
We advise booking your trial 2-4 months prior to the big day. At the time of the trial we like to finalize headcount, timing and all day of details, so having trials too far advance prevents accuracy.
You’ll be with the artists for about 2 hours if your trial is for both hair and makeup. You’ll be working with your hair and makeup team and they want to make sure you absolutely love your look!
While we are happy to travel on your wedding day we do not travel for trials. At the trial we will be collecting important information, working at a proper work station and with proper lighting for your best wedding day plan.
The final balance for all services plus gratuity will be charged to the single credit card on file the Wednesday prior to the event. At this time, final headcount is due.
As our freelancers provide the same level service regardless of the situation we do not offer discounts for our services regardless of date, location or headcount. ​
We are proud to say that we do not have any minimums for services!
Depending on headcount and timing, our rough rule of thumb is 1 artist per every 8 ladies needing services. Adding additional artists may accrue a fee. Accommodations can be made on an individual basis.
As we are a freelance agency with 50+ artists, individual portfolios are not available; however, please check out our social media for images of our work! IG HANDLE: @pinmeupchicago
Please allow 30 minutes per person per service. Ideally, don’t have an individualized schedule. If your party is ready to go with dry hair and clean faces, the getting ready process will be quick and seamless! Our skilled artists are there to walk the party through every step of the way.
Technician parking is required. We do not charge a travel fee as long as the services are within 30 miles of our salon, rather we charge parking for the artists. If you’re getting ready at a hotel, valet parking is required. If you’re getting ready in a home, street/metered/parking garage parking is required. Check with your hotel as many hotels will compensate vendor parking.
Gratuity is not included in the service price but we do add 20% gratuity to the grand total on the contract which will be taken care of the week of the wedding. No funds or gratuity are taken on site.
Airbrush versus traditional makeup is a personal preference. Airbrush makeup is a bit more full coverage whereas traditional makeup is a bit more natural. Your makeup artist can assess your skin and give recommendations at the time of your trial.

Yes! If extensions are needed for your look there are clip ins or semi permanent options available. A hair extension consultation can also be scheduled during or before your trial if you think the style you’re trying to achieve will require extensions. For bridesmaids, please make sure the extensions are completely dry and combed through.

    Dream hair and makeup!

    Gina (makeup) and Val (hair) were absolutely AMAZING!! They both understood my vision so well and brought it to life perfectly! They made the entire process feel so effortless and seamless. Getting my hair and makeup done was honestly one part of the wedding day I wasn’t necessarily looking forward to, but these two made it such a fun, stress-free, and enjoyable experience! They were so talented, listened to exactly what I wanted, and made me feel beautiful.

    Amazing!

    I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pin Me Up Chicago! Bianca and Victoria did the hair and makeup for my wedding, and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE. From my bridal trial to the wedding day, the entire experience was so much fun and completely stress-free. My trial honestly felt like hanging out with friends while getting glammed up! They listened to my feedback, took note of the little adjustments I wanted, and made those changes perfectly on the wedding day. I felt absolutely beautiful and still felt like myself, which was so important to me. And my girls looked PHENOMENAL! Everyone looked gorgeous, and Bianca and Victoria did such an exceptional job making sure each person felt beautiful. What also blew me away was how incredibly efficient they were. They worked SO fast without ever making the experience feel rushed or sacrificing the quality of their work. Wedding mornings can easily become hectic when multiple people are getting hair and makeup done, but they kept everything moving smoothly and made the whole process feel easy and fun. Bianca and Victoria are talented, professional, personable, and just a joy to have around on such an important morning. I would recommend Pin Me Up Chicago over and over again. If you want a hair and makeup team that will have you and your girls looking amazing while also keeping your wedding morning relaxed and on schedule, book them!

    Beautiful & professional!

    I used Pin Me Up for both hair and makeup for myself, Moms, and bridesmaids and it was such a great experience! Both the hair and makeup artists cared so much about what they did and made sure I was happy with my look after my trial and if there was anything I wanted to change. They both killed it on my wedding day and I never felt more beautiful! Both artists arrived on time at the correct location so that was seamless. The only thing that worried me a bit was that I did not have contact information for the hair or makeup artists directly, only the Pin Me Up team who acts as a middleman, so I was worried that if they did run into issues it would be more difficult to resolve. But everything turned out perfect!

    Lily is the best!!

    I was so lucky to have Lily for my hair and makeup for our lunch wedding! Our HMU test couldn't have gone better - she had incredible ideas for how to pull off the vintage look I wanted, while also making notes of additional materials to bring on the wedding day to help accentuate the look. On the day of, she was the best and most calming presence as I was getting ready, and my hair and makeup was truly a work of art! She incorporated everything I wanted, as well as adding some whimsical elements and reinforcing the flower comb I ordered through the florist. My hair was incredible throughout the day, and the makeup was flawless until I took it off that evening. If you're looking for something a little more vintage/intricate, Lily is the absolute best!!

    Incredible Team

    Every step of the process of working with Pin Me Up was so easy, from booking to the trial to my wedding day! I don’t know much about hair & makeup, but with the little descriptions I gave on what I did and didn’t like in a look, they were able to transform into exactly what I was looking for. I came prepared to my trial with lots of inspo pictures and both my hair and makeup artists executed the looks nearly perfectly! The final touch call after my trial but before my wedding day left me feeling very confident the HMU part of my day would run smoothly. On my wedding day, we discussed my feedback from my trial and it was clear they came prepared knowing what changes to make. My final looks were better than I ever could have imagined! They also worked very efficiently and kept us on schedule all morning. I wasn’t worried about timing at all. I’m SO glad I used Pin Me Up, I can’t recommend them enough! They’re incredibly professional, responsive to any questions you have, and prepared to make you look and feel incredible on your wedding day!
