We recommend scheduling your wedding preview (trial) 1-3 months prior to your wedding. This timeframe ensures that your dress is selected, and you have a clearer vision for your bridal look. A trial done too far in advance may not reflect changes in hair length, color, or skin conditions. Additionally, as we work with numerous brides throughout the year, this timing helps ensure we can offer you a personalized and current experience.
To secure your wedding day services, we will send you a contract for completion along with instructions for submitting your retainer. Once we’ve received both the signed contract and the retainer, your booking is confirmed. Afterward, we will touch base with you to schedule your wedding preview as the date approaches.
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold wedding dates without a signed contract and retainer payment. We receive numerous inquiries daily, and some clients book immediately, while others may take days or even weeks to confirm. As we cannot block off dates for tentative bookings, your date will only be officially reserved once we’ve received your signed contract and retainer. Please note that certain dates are in high demand, so we recommend securing your booking as soon as possible.
Yes, we are happy to provide on-location services, although we highly recommend confirming with your venue about adequate time for hair and makeup. Many venues allocate only 2-4 hours for bridal prep, which may not be sufficient to accommodate both hair and makeup services, especially when photographers are scheduled to begin their shots early. For the best results, we recommend discussing early access to the bridal suite with your venue or considering a nearby hotel or Airbnb for your prep.
Yes, you can absolutely schedule a trial before confirming your wedding booking. However, please understand that we cannot hold your wedding date until a signed contract and retainer are received. After your trial, you will have 24 hours to decide on booking. While we will do our best to ensure that the artist who worked with you on your trial is available on your wedding day, we cannot guarantee this without your official booking.
No, airbrush makeup will not appear cakey if applied correctly. This is a common misconception, often due to the use of improper techniques or products. With over 18 years of experience, I use Temptu airbrush foundation, which is lightweight, water-resistant, and provides a flawless, natural finish. This formula also fills in fine lines and minimizes the appearance of pores, ensuring a long-lasting, picture-perfect look. If you’ve had a bad experience with airbrush makeup in the past, it’s likely that the artist was not properly trained.
Once a contract is signed and a retainer is paid, services cannot be canceled. However, you may transfer services to someone else. Please ensure that all members of your bridal party are committed to their services, as we reserve the necessary time and resources for your event. We are not responsible for changes in bridal party dynamics, and last-minute cancellations may result in lost income for our artists.
If time allows, we are happy to add additional services to your package. However, should we need to bring in an additional artist to accommodate the extra services, availability cannot always be guaranteed. We will, however, make every effort to fulfill your needs.
Hair extensions are not required but can enhance the final look, particularly if you desire thicker or longer hair. Many inspiration photos feature models with extensions, so if your hair is naturally thinner or shorter, extensions may help you achieve a similar result. If you choose not to use extensions, please be aware that the style may differ from the photos you have in mind.
Typically, we do not offer previews for bridal showers, as weekends are reserved for weddings and family time. Wedding previews require more time than standard appointments, and we encourage you to save your desired bridal style for your big day. In some circumstances, such as slower winter months, we may be able to accommodate bridal shower appointments.
Clear communication is key. Please feel free to express any concerns or preferences. Thoroughly read your contract and all documents provided. Arrive on time to ensure the best possible experience for everyone. Follow our guidelines to ensure a seamless experience on your wedding day.

    Amazing Day with Jamie & Team!

    Jamie was a great communicator, attentive and amazing to work with! Our trial for both myself and my mom were smooth and made us both comfortable before wedding day. On the wedding, Jamie and her team were early and ready to go! Myself, my bridesmaids and moms all looked so beautiful, and we completed everyone's looks ahead of schedule, with over 20 services being completed. I was so happy with my bridal look, and Jamie was great at making some changes I wanted after my trial. I would definitely recommend Shimmer for You for any brides looking for a reliable, fantastic team!

    A Wedding to Remember

    Working with Shimmer For You LLC was such a great choice for our wedding day. Jaime was punctual, responsive to all my questions, and kept me informed every step of the way.     Amazing experience start to finish. Jaime was very responsive and communicative from the start. Nicolette did my hair and makeup. Not only was it the best my hair and makeup has even been done, but she put me at ease and was so kind, welcoming, and patient. She is such a chill presence on a day that can be hectic. I debated even getting my hair and makeup professionally done because I usually don’t love how it turns out but Nicolette did amazing and it lasted all day. I am so glad I booked it and the pricing seemed very fair as well. Even my mom loved her makeup and that says a lot lol

    SHIMMERING BRIDE

    Jaime with ShimmerForYou LLC was such a pleasure to work with! Hair and makeup were two of the last vendors I booked, and I was looking for someone who offered airbrush makeup, could work with a diverse bridal party, and had fair and reasonable pricing; especially because I had a large bridal party of 12. From the very beginning, Jaime made the process so much easier. She walked me through the timeline, helped me understand who I needed to communicate with, and made sure I knew what questions to ask so we could have a successful and stress-free wedding day. During my trial, Jaime made me feel comfortable, heard, and understood. For me, the most makeup I typically wear is mascara, so I KNEW going into the trial that I was going to struggle with seeing myself with a full face of makeup. Despite being in over eight weddings, bridal makeup was something that was always difficult for me to visualize. Knowing this was MY day added even more pressure. But Jaime was so professional, caring, and incredibly understanding. I gave her feedback about where I wanted to go a little more and where I wanted to go a little less, and she never once made me feel uncomfortable or not heard. Instead, she listened, offered guidance, and helped me build the vision I had for both my hair and makeup. On the wedding day, Jaime and her team kept us on schedule and had us ALL glowing! I genuinely never felt more beautiful. My bridal party was nothing short of SHOW-STOPPING beautiful as well. Every woman looked like the best version of herself, and somehow Jaime took a vision I struggled to even see for myself and brought it to life better than I could have imagined. And my husband’s reaction said it all… he couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. Jaime, thank you for taking on my large bridal party, for keeping us on time, for listening to me, and for making all of us feel so beautiful and confident.     A Dream Team!

    Jaime and her team at Shimmer For You exceeded all expectations on my wedding day! We booked hair and makeup for myself, 8 bridesmaids, 2 moms, 2 grandmas, and 1 officiant. Pricing wise, Shimmer For You was some of the best I found in South Jersey. Service wise, all the artists were punctual, friendly, and creative. We had a horrible weather day with gusts up to 20mph with misty rain (still had photos and a ceremony outside) plus I danced the night away and my hair and makeup held up perfectly. They even went the extra mile to leave behind some extra hairspray and retouch makeup. We all pretty much got the same natural looking makeup but with a variety of hairstyles and everyone was obsessed with their look! And don’t worry, if you have a breakdown about the weather after you already got your makeup done they will make sure to fix it up! Additionally, during my trial, Jaime helped me find the perfect lip combo which I continue to wear in my day-to-day as well as consulted me on my Celiac Disease ensuring every product was gluten free. I would highly recommend Shimmer For You to any bride!
