Hi Natalie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We always take our brides’ experiences seriously, and while we respect that you were disappointed with your hair, we also feel it is important to provide some additional context so that the situation is represented fairly. Our team had a very specific time window to begin services on your wedding day. Wedding hair and makeup is not a quick service, and we intentionally build our schedules with enough time to properly service each member of the bridal party without rushing through anyone’s appointment. Our goal is always to give every bride and her party the time, attention, and care they deserve. Regarding the travel fee mentioned in your review, this was not an unexpected fee that we simply decided to add days before your wedding. An additional service was added the week of your wedding, which required us to adjust our staffing and schedule. This meant bringing in an additional artist and working around a revised timeline, which is why the travel fee was discussed. Once you expressed that the additional fee was causing you anxiety, we chose to waive it as a courtesy. The last thing we ever want is for a bride to feel stressed or uncomfortable going into her wedding day. At the same time, we also have a responsibility to be fair to the artists who have reserved their time and adjusted their schedules to accommodate our brides. We also want to clarify that the stylist you referenced in your review went above and beyond your scheduled services that day. She remained with you well beyond the completion of your hair service to assist you with your dress and make sure you were comfortable and ready. That additional time was not charged to you. Extended time beyond a scheduled service typically involves an additional fee, but that was never our priority. Our priority is making sure our bride feels supported and taken care of on one of the most important days of her life. We were happy to stay and assist you because that is the level of care we strive to provide to every Style Society bride. As for the hair, we are sorry that your Hollywood waves did not hold in the way you had hoped. However, many factors can affect the longevity of a hairstyle, including hair texture, density, length, extensions, preparation, humidity, and weather. The stylist who serviced you is one of our lead stylists, and we stand behind the professionalism, experience, and quality of our team. While we understand that you personally were unhappy with the result, we do not feel it is fair to characterize the service as something that simply could have been done better by doing it yourself. We take tremendous pride in the way we care for our brides. Our goal is to treat every bride as we would our own sister or best friend, and we are proud of the many reviews from brides who have shared how supported, accommodated, and cared for they felt by our team. We absolutely welcome honest feedback when a client feels something did not meet her expectations. At the same time, we believe reviews should include the full context of an experience, particularly when they involve last-minute additions, scheduling adjustments, fees that were waived as a courtesy, and additional time our team provided without charge.
