The calm we hoped for

We worked with Rachel for our Catskills wedding in summer 2026. We wanted a professional officiant who could seamlessly manage the ceremony end-to-end and handle any unexpected chaos so our loved ones could simply enjoy the day. Right at the start of our ceremony, a fast-moving thunderstorm forced us to move to our rain location. Rachel remained calm, patient, and adaptable throughout the shift, just as she was during the process of drafting and refining our ceremony script. We bounced many different ideas off of her when we were planning our ceremony, and she was very available, responsive, hopped on a Zoom call to talk through it live. We have two very young children and were anxious about how they would handle the ceremony. Rachel gave us great counsel on how to naturally incorporate them without any pressure. Sure enough, on the day of, one of our kids did not want to walk down the aisle while the other insisted on Dad holding him at the alter. Rachel handled the unpredictability with levity, light humor and grace. We even had close friends compliment and say how great our officiant was.

Rachel officiated our wedding and we could not be more happy! She had such a calm, caring, and professional demeanor throughout the process. We did not want a super traditional ceremony, and Rachel offered us many options for each section of the script which helped us hone in on exactly what we wanted. She captured all of our feedback through several rounds of edits. On the day of the ceremony, she was so kind and did an excellent job officiating. We really appreciated her warm presence and delivery of the ceremony. She was also really organized; she let us know exactly what needed to be done with the marriage license and she mailed it back for us the next day. We highly recommend working with Rachel!

We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant than Rachel! She really listened to us and wrote our love story so incredibly well. She included all the little details we wanted and somehow made it all flow perfectly. We also had a few family traditions that she worked into the script so beautifully. She’s an amazing writer. We met a few times to go over the script, and if there was anything small we wanted to change, she updated it right away. She was incredible on the wedding day, too. So many of our guests told us afterward how much they loved the ceremony and what an amazing job she did. Rachel even took care of the marriage license for us. She made sure we had our witnesses, showed us where to sign, and sent it off afterward, which was one less thing for us to think about. Ryan and I really loved working with her, and we would absolutely recommend her!
