Sarah started an event/wedding planning business in 2024. Since then she has become a certified civil celebrant for the state of Virginia in 2025. Sarah made this decision because she wanted to be able to support couples in multiple ways during this process.

As your officiant, I bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine love for people into every ceremony. I take the time to truly get to know each couple—their story, their values, and what makes their love unique—so your ceremony feels personal, heartfelt, and authentic. I proudly officiate weddings for all couples, regardless of race, background, or sexual orientation. Love is love, and I am honored to celebrate it in all its beautiful forms—as long as it’s legal, I’m here to say “I do” right along with you.

Sarah Made #GoingGreene Absolutely Perfect!
Where do I even begin with Sarah?! I truly cannot put into words how AMAZING she and her team were throughout this entire experience. From day one, Sarah was there for me. Throughout an entire year of wedding planning, she stayed in constant communication, answered every single question I had (and never once made me feel like any question was a dumb one), and handled everything with so much patience, poise, professionalism, and class. But wedding day?! Sarah was quite literally EVERYTHING for me. She made sure everything happened exactly when and how my husband and I wanted it to. Any surprise, hiccup, or last-minute change that came her way, she handled it so gracefully that half the time we didn’t even know there was an issue — and THAT is exactly what you want on your wedding day! Not only was she an incredible coordinator, but she officiated our ceremony beautifully as well. She truly wore every hat and made sure we could simply enjoy our day without worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. Our wedding party, family, and guests are STILL talking about how amazing Sarah and her team were and how smoothly everything went. That alone speaks volumes. Sarah, THANK YOU will never feel like enough. Thank you for being there through the planning, for listening to us, advocating for what we wanted, keeping everything together, and helping make our wedding day everything we imagined it would be. You were such a huge part of making our day so special, and I will forever be grateful that we chose I Got a Love Jones Events. Sarah my Sarah!! God tends to place the right people in your life at the right time and from the very beginning I knew this was divine intervention! Sarah and her team were absolutely AMAZING from beginning to end! When I needed vendor recommendations, she was on it! When I needed a listening ear, she was there! And my God when it came to my big day, SHE KILLED IT!! Sarah naturally makes you feel like family while navigating in her professional element and I LOVE that about her! If you need a planner, coordinator, or officiant hear me and hear me well, look no further because Sarah is your girl!!

Sarah is AMAZING!
We can't say enough good things about Sarah from I Got A Love Jones Events. From our first conversation, she was responsive and caring, making sure every detail was handled with precision—from finalizing our ceremony script to taking care of all the paperwork so we didn't have to worry. One of our favorite touches was when she wrote a personalized poem for our ceremony that truly captured our story and set the perfect tone for the day. Sarah also went above and beyond by wearing floral attire since we had asked for it, showing how much she cared about being part of our vision. Her work felt genuine and thoughtful, and she was clearly focused on making our wedding feel special and stress-free. We'd recommend her in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a planner who actually listens and delivers.

We highly recommend!
Where to start?! Sarah made us feel as though we were her only clients (but don’t be fooled because she’s booked and busy!), she was wonderful at communicating with us and our vendors, and she was able to think on her feet really quickly while also keeping in mind our preferences. She would even remember things that we forgot throughout the process and the wedding day itself. On the wedding day, the weather ended up being windy and rainy, and we didn’t hear a single complaint or negative comment from Sarah and her team. She accommodated for the weather while also making sure we were still satisfied. The bride is someone who has a tough time trusting people to get things done when she can’t do them herself, but she fully and completely put her trust in Sarah and her team from the beginning, and there is no doubt she’d do it time and time again without hesitation. 10/10 would highly recommend working with Sarah for all your wedding needs! We love you so much, Sarah!!!
