I Got A Love Jones Events
Sarah, our lead planner, has been hosting and planning events since 2012. What started as intimate events with family and friends, has expanded to hosting private events for up to 200 guest. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in African American History in 2016. She also received her Master of Urban Education-School Counseling, K-12 in 2020. She is able to offer expert guidance on what venues and vendors will work best for your specific wedding, based on your specific vision, design, budget, guest count, and overall priorities for your wedding day. Our lead planner is also a certified civil celebrant in Virginia.
She is known for her ability to balance managing a large social, Women’s Empowerment Group and her career as a Professional School Counselor. We are open to working with couples from all backgrounds. No event is too unorthodox!

Sarah my Sarah!! God tends to place the right people in your life at the right time and from the very beginning I knew this was divine intervention! Sarah and her team were absolutely AMAZING from beginning to end! When I needed vendor recommendations, she was on it! When I needed a listening ear, she was there! And my God when it came to my big day, SHE KILLED IT!! Sarah naturally makes you feel like family while navigating in her professional element and I LOVE that about her! If you need a planner, coordinator, or officiant hear me and hear me well, look no further because Sarah is your girl!!

Sarah is the best!
We can't say enough good things about Sarah from I Got A Love Jones Events. From our first conversation, she was responsive and caring, making sure every detail was handled with precision—from finalizing our ceremony script to taking care of all the paperwork so we didn't have to worry. One of our favorite touches was when she wrote a personalized poem for our ceremony that truly captured our story and set the perfect tone for the day. Sarah also went above and beyond by wearing floral attire since we had asked for it, showing how much she cared about being part of our vision. Best Wedding Planner!!
I can’t thank Sarah enough. From the moment we spoke with her the first time, she completely put our wedding stress at ease. We needed someone with the experience, knowledge and passion, and Sarah is just that. She helped me through my personal worries and ensured us that everything will work out when it came down to booking the rest of my vendors, up to wedding day. She is organized, personable and just so easy to communicate with. Closer to wedding day, she told my husband and I not to worry about the rain and that everything will work out. And she was right! The rain came right after our outdoor ceremony and everything turned out perfectly. Sarah set up all of our decor beautifully and ensured everything was taken care of from start to finish so my husband and I wouldn’t have to worry about a thing. She fit right in with our family and friends and everyone praised her work and loved her so much.
