I'm Reverend Steven Reid. I love working with couples, getting to know them, and helping them celebrate the happiest day of their lives. Over the years, I have officiated over 150 weddings for couples from diverse faith and cultural backgrounds in a wide variety of settings. My husband/soulmate and I have been together for 20 years.

I served as pastor to five congregations and as a chaplain for two social service organizations. I received my Master of Divinity Degree from Garrett Seminary on Northwestern's campus and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign. My most recent work as a chaplain to teenagers in foster care and then to seniors at a nursing home has been tremendously rewarding and challenging. To help achieve balance and perspective, I began officiating weddings. Over the last 15 years, I've had the great privilege of sharing couple's Love Stories and celebrating their life long commitment to one another,

    A Great Experience

    We had such a great experience working with Love Is Love for our ceremony. From our first conversation, Steven was responsive to our questions and genuinely invested in making our day special. He listened to what we wanted and wasn't afraid to offer guidance when we felt stuck on certain parts of the ceremony. What impressed us most was how willing he was to incorporate our feedback and make changes without any pushback. His knowledge and attention to detail made us feel confident that our ceremony would be exactly what we envisioned.     Reverend Steve is the best!

    Reverend Steve was a pleasure to work with right from the very beginning. When we met with him for introductions and premarital counseling, we immediately felt his personable spirit and knew that we were in great hands.     An Officiant Who Truly Cares

    If you want a great officiant, you won't be disappointed with Rev. Steve Reid! When we were looking for an officiant, we wanted an officiant who was professional yet very personable. We got just that with Rev. Steve. After our very first conversation with him, both of us were really impressed and no one compared to how easy going and professional he was. He was very quick and helpful with responding to any questions we had before the wedding. We liked that he accommodated to any changes we wanted to make. He also was helpful when I had laryngitis for the wedding and offered to read our vows for us. He took time to understand what we wanted for our big day and worked with us to create a ceremony that felt personal and meaningful. It felt like he had known us for a while by the way he described us and got to know us. We felt so supported by his professionalism and genuine care for making our ceremony special. Thank you, Rev.     Wonderful officiant!

    We had a wonderful experience with Reverend Steven Reid. He was very personable, engaged, organized, and thoughtful. Our guests raved about him as an officiant. We also appreciated that he offered couples' counseling. We chose to do one session with him ahead of the wedding, and we got a lot out of it. Would highly recommend.

    The best wedding officiant!
